"Recieved Computer on 4/12/2007. Unpacked it and tried it 4/13/2007. Computer did not work. Called Tech Support, on line for about 1 hour, could not get it to work. Was told to send it back, and they told UPS to pick it up at the house. Shipped by UPS on 4/17/2007, three day shipping it is now 4/22/2007 and UPS still has not delivered to Vigor Gaming, Yet.
Vigor Gaming have been very nice on the phone, but I am disappointed computer would not work.
UPS has not been so nice, they have lied twice and delays are not acceptable in this case.
05/02/07-Update-Received computer back, was disappointed computer would not work again! Called Vigor Gaming, was told to push down on CPU cooler and it started working! I guess the CPU was comming loose in shipment, which is not Vigor Gaming's fault.
Everything is working fine now. Vigor Gaming called the next day to see if every thing was okay, which I thought was very nice.
I am now happy with the new computer, and would buy from them again."
"This was the first time I ordered a computer online. I was a little nervous. I went with Vigor because of the other reviews on this site and the good prices they offered. There might be a couple of sites that are a little cheaper but there are plenty of sites that seem to charge a lot more. I also felt very comfortable with their web site. It wasn't all flashy like some of the others with there "man do we have a deal for you" presntation. Vigor seems to just want to do a good job at a great price by offering really good computers with out a lot of hype. I sent them an e-mail asking if they offered modems as it is not an option on their configuration screen. Their answer came back 'yes' in like 5 hours or so. So I worked up a system that I was comfortable with and in the comment box ask them to add a modem. They did call me back with in 48 hours but I wasn't home. So I called them back and confirmed my order. All of this worked very smooth. They have a check the status of your order page which I must have looked at 50 times. I was very excited about this computer because I was so tired of buying off the shelf and getting some of the things you want and lot of what you don't want. They took a couple of more days then the 10 days there site says to build and test the computer. But that did not bother me as it made me feel like they wanted to do a good job for me. To their credit they did ship the computer out one day earlier than the 'status of my order' page siad they would. Now I'm getting really excited and having nightmares about what UPS might do to my package (by the way Vigor gave me free shipping). None of my nightmares came true as my computer arrived just when UPS said it would and the box was undamaged. Here is where the one small thing in this whole process went wrong. I had the computer out of the box and was looking at it. I opened the door where the CD-ROM is and the little spring on the right side of the door fell off!! My first thought was,"Oh my God, I haven't even hooked it up yet and it is falling apart". My high stress level was soon to turn to great joy after I did hook up my new computer and saw how flawlessly it performed. You can see the craftmanship that went into this machine with all the little cable ties that tie back the wires and the extra heat sink and fan on the cpu which I didn't really expect. And the CD-ROM door thing was actually a blessing in disguise as I just went ahead and took the door off which makes it easier to get to the eject button. I want to thank Vigor for making this old time gamer who used to stand in line to play Pong very happy. "
"I received my computer on time and in perfect condition. Vigor ships the computer in 2 boxes inside each other to prevent damages. Everything was exactly how I requested when I inspected it. The build is extremely solid and the interior wires were neat and tidy. The computer booted on the first try and has been running ever since. All manuals, drivers and other extras from the components were included in the box. A nice touch. I will definately buy from Vigor again and would suggest to everyone needing a excellent computer at a great price. I configured identical computers at all the popular sites and this was the best price by far. Last but not least, all dealings with Vigor employees were very professional and polite."
"First time order but will definitely be back. Excellent product but most of all superior service. PC arrived on time very well packed. Ran perfect out of the box. When I had a small problem after loading additional programs their phone help especially Tommy was the best in the business I have seen after having been through most of all the big names. I recommend them to everyone."
"March 21 2007
Ordered my new computer online, later got a call saying i needed to upgrade my powersource. Later checked my email and got my confirmation number.
March 22 2007
Realized I didn't put my apartment number on my order, emailed vigor and got a very prompt reply that they would take care of it for me.
April 3 2007
Got a phone call from vigor saying they WERE going to ship it out that day, but there was a dent in the case. Don't know how they didn't notice the dent while they were putting it together (meaning it was probably dropped). They upgraded my case to the case with extra cooling for free, told me they would ship it out withing 48 hours. Awsome!
April 9 2007
Six days later, still no confirmation email. Tried to call but got the voicemail. So I left them an email. Got call back a few hours later something else went wrong with the computer. Told me they should mail it out the next day and they would upgrade my shipping to the three day ups shipping.
April 13 2007
Everything seems right on track, then I find out they didn't add my apartment number to my address so they package was never delivered. Called Ups to get it the address fixed. Told me I would have to get the package deliverd on Monday >.>. Luckly they let me go pick it up today instead of having me wait. So I took a long drive to the other side of town. When I got home and opened the box, the sight of my new computer made the irritance of the wait, and the drive to the other side of town worth it."
"The computer only worked for a few minutes then went dead. Looks like a motherboard problem. Going to be shipping it back.
Great customer service, they (tommy) did a great job at tech support and when it still had a problem they
had UPS pick up the computer for repair. I am confident they will fix it. When the computer was up it was fast.
Got the computer back UPS. Everything working great. Looks like they through in a couple of FREE games for minor inconvience. This is an awesome system for a great price."
"This is the second computer that I bought from Vigor. I had purchased a laptop a year ago and needed some more power. So I decided to get an Hornet. Just as before, the computer arrived at my house with one of the best packaging job that I have ever seen. The system is in perfect condiction even though the delivery people had done their best trying to destroy it (it outer box of the packaging was full of holes). Anyway, I plug in the computer and it had been working flowlessly since. I would recommend Vigor to anyone who is looking for a quality computer."
"Excellent company. Very easy to deal with and they offer a great product.
I've been looking around at builders for a custom system for a while and narrowed it down to Vigor based on their reputation and there price. Throughout the process I was always kept in the loop with what was going on. There was a small snag when they did not have the case I specified, but I was notified immediately by both phone and email. The email had pics of the case they were offering as a replacement as well as a link to it's specs. Very shortly after the email was sent I was called by Vigor CS and asked what I wanted to do. If I wanted to wait for the first case, change to the other or whatever. It didn't delay my order at all.
Overall I am very pleased with VigorGaming and would definitely reccomend them."
"I love my vigor computer. It has all the bells and whistles and I still have money left over for all my games. This is simply the best investment that I have made in years."
"Excellent Computer. Very well packaged. Documentation is a bit skimpy."
"Just placed the order for my Artorius pro gaming laptop, so far so good, I've got the order confirmation phone call and confirmation e-mail. Will update as order gets processed.
>>>4/13 Update: no snag so far, checked the website and my order is being QCed right now. Estimated ship date is 4/16.
>>>4/18 Update: got my new artorius pro laptop today, exactly as they've promised. The box was well packaged, the machine's been running so far with no problems. Can't wait to load it up with my games and try it out! Overall the experience with Vigor has been excellent, they've done everything they've promised and right on schedule. Will buy from them again. "
"Another update on my January order. My attempts to communicate with the company went unanswered for a week. I spoke with someone on Wednesday and arranged to cancel my order. That was February 3rd. An email inquiry to the company received a response that they'd refunded my money on the 8th, but I STILL have not received a credit. The bank got involved once I contested the charge, and only then did the credit make it to my card, nearly a month after I requested it. At this point, I'd run screaming from this company.
I recently ordered a new machine from these folks. It's my second order from them, and I'm leaving the previous review below. This time through, my experience has not started out in a positive way. I bought a lower-end machine than the last time through, and I was quoted a ship date that seemed a little long (10 days) but not too bad. My computer was listed as in quality control on the 21st (a day before the ship date), so all seemed well. Days passed without a change. I emailed for an update 5 days after the tentative ship date as there'd been an email snafu with my order confirmation. They called back later that day, but I had a terrible connection and couldn't understand what they were saying. I asked them to email me the situation as they were cutting out and I heard the person confirm that I wanted an email. None followed. Later that day, I called when I had a clear line, and got no one. Left a voicemail. It's been two days since that exchange, and I've left voicemails and send further email. No one is picking up on their end and I still don't know the situation. Meanwhile, it's now been 18 days since my order, I have no clear understanding of what's going on. After such a positive experience the first time around, and talking the company up to anyone in the market for a new computer, I'm pretty disappointed. I'm willing to tolerate delays, but non-communication is both irritating and scary.
I configured and purchased a new machine from Vigor. I examined every builder listed by PC Gamer in this year's hardware issue. Vigor Beat its nearest competitor by $500 (which is EXTREMELY impressive considering I was spending $1700 or so). They shipped my box last night, one day ahead of their original estimate.
Got my new machine yesterday. It arrived on time. I plugged it in, attached my monitor and turned it on. It hummed to life flawlessly and the magic began. All the parts are as expected, and the machine just purrs. A very nice, very pretty computer that has met all my expectations. If I had to criticize something, it would be their choice of mouse to include. I don't think I've seen one smaller. Of course, being 6'5" with hands to match, I may be oversensitive.
I would not hesitate to recommend these folks to anyone.
Okay, it's been over a year and a half since I purchased my machine. In that time, I never even had to crack the box open except to dust. Over the weekend, my video card went out. Vigor warantees their systems for three years standard, and when I called them, they got right on the ball. I had (ironically) just ordered a new video card, so when it came, they walked me through everything that needed doing, then emailed me the directions to get my card replaced. The tech guy was VERY competent, spoke clearly and understandably, and treated me with respect. Now, more than ever, I would recommend these folks. They'll be building my new machine next year, assuming they weather the downturn."
"I shopped around and Vigor Gaming seemed to give the biggest bang for my buck. After reading many reviews from other reseller ratings, I made the leap, purchasing a Force Recon QXN with my preferred configuration on February 9, 2007.
Shortly after my order (about 2 hours), I was contacted to call my credit card company to authorize a $3500 purchase and after doing so, I received my confirmation email.
Reading previous reviews, I knew ahead of time communication from Vigor after order confirmation would be slim at best (this is about the only thing I would see Vigor needs improvement with), I recieved my tracking information only 1 day later than the estimated build date and my system arrived 1 day earlier than the shipping arrival date, arriving on February 28th.
Like a girl with a new doll house, or in this case a gaming addict with the machine of her dreams, I tore into the huge, and I do mean HUGE box! It was packed very well and despite the carriers best to see how many holes they could put into the shipping box, it arrived without a scratch.
Setup was easy and from the moment I powered her up, she purred and worked flawlessly.
I am impressed with Vigor's build and highly recommend them to anyone."
"I highly recommend this company. I was unsure about ordering a build-to-order computer since I have always made my own. But after pricing it on newegg.com for all the parts I was surprised that there was very little price difference. I was happy to see the 30 day no question money back feature and the warranty. I went ahead and ordered my computer for around $1550.
Here's where they went from good to great. About 5 days later I was checking their site and noticed their configurations had changed. I went ahead and created the same computer I had ordered. It turned out to be cheaper, I then went ahead an upgraded the ram, processor, and graphics card and it was still $40 cheaper. I called the company (who was building and testing my computer at the time) and asked if anything could be done. The operator (Lauri, very nice) said that even though it would mean they would take a loss, they would build the computer that had just designed on their site with the new parts and even refund the extra money I paid. The only thing was that I would have to wait an extra 5 days since it would be a new computer. Not a problem at all.
They refunded the 40 dollars back to my card and I will be getting my computer on the 23rd. They have earned a customer for life and I will recommend them to anyone that is looking to buy a computer and already have."
"I got my computer with Great and Fast services,
I just love it..."
