"Although I would probably recommend Vigor Gaming, my order did not go quite as perfectly as most of the others mentioned here. I was most pleased that they easily met my request for a special shipping arrangement, which other vendors rarely do. I might be seen as quibbling, compared to horror stories of other vendors, but still:

5 Feb- Ordered online and fairly quickly received confirmation mail that my payment was received and "Your order is currently being sent to production and will be ready to ship out within 7-9 business days."

19 Feb- (10th business day later) had not heard anything about order shipping, so I called. Was told they would check & let me know. Later that day (Good!) got email saying "Your order will be shipped out today" and "will let you know the FedEx tracking when it's shipped". Gave me the feeling that if I hadn't called, it would not have shipped.

22 Feb- still receiving no ship confirmation, sent email asking what's going on. Later received response that unit had shipped the day before and gave me the tracking number.

I received the unit in good shape from FedEx.

So, the above is nowhere near the hassle I experienced with Alienware, but having read the many glowing reports here, my expectations were high.

The unit itself seems fine. I don't have a lot of experience with this type of gaming unit, so my detail comments might not be accurate.

I would still recommend Vigor Gaming above other vendors of this type.

"well the fact that i am reciving this email 4 days before i get my computer because it took an extra week to process for no apparent reason, and when i called about why it was taking so long to even start being shipped they told me that they were shipping it out that day and that they would ship it 3-day and lo and behold 2 days later i get an email telling me that they finaly shipped it and it was shipped ground. so far im pretty dissapointed about the service. i will let you know how i like my computer when i actualy get it."

"I got the Delta force from Vigor. I did allot of research on gaming rigs and frist of all Vigor had a A ratting with better business bureau. The customer support was A+++. I had 2 problems they fixed and allso gave me a $80 refund witch was nice. The computer was put together in nice order and runs great. So if your looking for a good gaming rig with good price and A++ support i recomend them. "

"Vigor definitely has the best computers for the best price and their service is absolutely the best anywhere. My order was delayed because of memory problems during testing, so they gave me a free logitech mouse and upgraded the shipping to UPS 3-day select (the computer actually arrived a day early! Hooray for UPS on that one). I would definitely recommend Vigor for anyone looking for the best computer and customer service out there."

"I ordered a Vigor Gaming Monsoon II from a certified online retailer. I was a little unhappy with their shipping times.. When I received it, I noticed it was not the color I wanted. So, I contacted Vigor Gaming direct and told them of my situation. I actually talked to a human being and was greeted very nicely. Exceptional customer service. I was in the process of building a new $4000+ dollar and did not want to be upset a possible additional 2-3 weeks down time. Vigor Gaming simply asked me to email them a copy of my sales receipt to verify my purchase. A few days later, viola! I received my part and went on to build my wonderful Monsoon II cooled gaming system! I HIGHLY recommend them. The best customer service I have had from ANY online merchant or actual in store purchase from any local retailer. 10/10 stars!"

"this is a pending order, i just placed the order and am waiting for the process to take place. I called twice before i made my order to ask some simple questions. i asked if they would over clock my system for me. a nice man answered the phone and informed me that they would overclock the system but only if i ordered the moonsoon cooling system. otherwise the system would be unstable. this information was very helpful and i ordered the moonsoon cooling system. i then called again to find out where i should put my request for overclocking. another nice man answered the phone and told me. so far all has gone really well. i am hoping the rest of this process continues as well as it has gone so far. ordering was simple (i loved the free shipping) and the support has so far met my expectations. I will keep everyone updated to how I make out.

UPDATE 1-31-07
I received a phone call yesterday to confirm my order. the shipping address was different from the billing adress of my credit card. vigor asked me to add the shipping address to my card but my issuer would not let me. vigor decided that it would be ok and then charged my card. so far everything has gone smoothly and i have found the customer service satisfactory. i can't wait for my system to arrive. will update again with any new news.

UPDATE 2/6/07
Called today to find out what the status of my order is. Was told that it is still in production and that they should begin testing it on Thursday 2/8 and to call back then and they will know better as to when I can expect to receive it. I had them overclock my system so i'm sure it may take a little longer then normal. No big deal. I can't wait!!! Will update again with any new info that may come along. So far so good.

UPDATE 2/9/07
I received an email yesterday from vigor. Apparently my system failed the first testing and was found unstable. They decided to upgrade my power supply from the 500 watt one to the 535 watt one, free of charge. I am very very happy with this and am extremely happy that they updated me so soon on what had happened and was extremely pleased to here of this free upgrade. It made for a nice surprsie birthday gift. I really cannot wait to get the system. I am very excited!!!

I received my tracking number today!!!!! I cannot wait, sooooo excited right now, it's on its way!!!!

well my computer was suppose to arrive friday but did not due to weather, then it was suppose to arrive today but since my college is closed UPS wouldn't deliver so now I have to wait till tomorrow, I must say UPS is horrible, I made sure to leave them a "nice" review (no fault of Vigor though), I went on to newegg and ordered some extra memory today to add to the machine when it arrives, I had only purchased one gig from Vigor so I had been planing on upgrading that eventually, my comp will be coming tomorrow and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as to how I make out with it

I have had the computer for about a week now and I must say it is amazing. I had some start up issues originally but that was because of my mouse, i realized this and fixed it myself, I contacted Vigor to ask about adding more ram and if it would break the warranty, the man said it would not and informed me of how to do it, he then said if i had any questions to call back and they could help. AMAZING, I would definitely buy from them again,the best computer i have ever owned and great customer service, i could not be happier

"I was looking for a notebook computer with some very specific components. I am a pretty avid gamer but due to my work situation a desktop doesn't really suit my needs. Gaming laptops are few and far between and beyond the "boutique" dealers (and the associated premium prices). I essentially went through and evaluated every single one of them to find the right combination of price and component oopmh.

To sum up what would be a long story, there were only two vendors that matched what I really wanted... those were Velocity Micro and Vigor Gaming. Vigor gaming won the vote of my dollar because their selection was ever so slightly better and they had better pricing (basically I got a 7950GTX instead of a 7900GTX, and the resolution of the screen was a little better, at a difference of about 150$).

As someone who's had bad experiences before particularly with shipping electronics, I'm extremely nervous about such transactions, and before I even made any orders I called vigor with some questions about the order and certain specific components.

The man who received me had a heavy accent, immediately playing to the "oh s--t, outsourcing" problem. I was expecting an act of frustration to follow, what I got instead was someone who was inordinately friendly and knowledgable about the product I was concerned with, and handedly answerwed every question very thoroughly. I was impressed, and took the jump to making an order.
Thumbs up thus far, now to see how they excecute it.

Small critique: the website, while very easy to navigate, could use a small tweak... the lettering is difficult to read on my s--tkicker laptop. It's not really the problem of the laptop, but the light grey type over a white backround. I had to highlight the text to read it. This is nitpicky as hell and I realize that, it's more for their sake than anything.

System arived today, probably over the weekend. The box was well packaged and cushioned.

I didn't have time to thoroughly test the system but from some brief tests and a Doom 3 run, it worked flawlessly. The notebook is zippy as all hell, though I might be partly biased considering the last notebook I was using came out in the basement budget category in 2001. The computer itself is visually distinctive and well-built. The keyboard is full-sized and comfortable for a laptop. The screen is big and bright, but at native resolution the text is just a hair small. Also, the audio inputs are in odd positions about the system, with two in the side and one in the back required for a 5.1 system, and I had to split and seperate the cords of my speaker system to compensate. That said, the sound was above my expectations for onboard notebook sound out of the box. Chances are I'll end up getting an Audigy 2 ZS soon enough to replace it, but in the meantime the current system works fine.

So, thus far my quibbles for the system are extremely minor. I need to check the driver version of the video, but as it is it runs fast and stable. I can't wait to get off work to give it a -real- whirl. My last edit of this review will have some basic benchmarks and a timing of the battery life. Thus far, I'm extremly satisfied with the purchase and will be doing buisness with this company in the near future when the time comes for me to get a desktop system.

Basically been doing little but testing games and installing programs, and patching patching patching. I must have downloaded and installed well over a gig of just patches and updates. I forsee an external hard drive and lots of burnt DVDs in the future.

I've been using a program bundled with the logitech G15 keyboard that tells me how much processor usage and ram I go through during games without the need to alt-tab and monitor it. From my casual observation, the CPU rarely gets over 70% usage consistantly (that's for both cores). Supreme Commander will be a better test of that, but TA:Spring makes good work of it and even in massive engagements the system doesn't choke.

More interestingly, with 2gb of ram, even on a demanding game like Oblivion I don't see it go over 55% ram usage. With 1GB the system would be using the swap file and there would be a slight slowdown, but that's less ram usage than I was expecting.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with Vigor's product and I will be buying from them in the future when I'm off deployment, when I have need of a desktop.

"I ordered my unit on the 7th which was a Sunday. I recieved my call the next day which was very good. However, 7 days later I had not heard anything. I checked the online order status and it just gave me an error message. I called them on the 17th and they said it was out of testing and would be shipped the next day. Now it is the 19th and i finally get my tracking number, only to find out that it really has not left the dock yet just that the information was sent to UPS. Now it will not leave until the 22nd and i am looking at getting it sometime later that week. Not a very good start to this, but I will update when it arrives."

"I guess I'm in the minority, but I got a lemon. I'm a higher-end PC user with plenty of knowledge to build my own PC but not enough time to do it. I ordered a FORCE RECON QXN and tricked it out. My first experience with Vigor was getting my credit card security straighted out, no big deal, on Jan 2nd. On Jan 3rd, I was told the RAM I wanted was recalled (although it is still available from other vendors). I also noticed they had added a new video card option so I made a minor upgrade.

I then never heard from the company again until the ship date. They said it would take 5 to 7 days to ship my PC but it was actually 10 and communication was very poor during this time period (I wish their website would update the "order status" as it never changed).

My PC finally arrived Jan 18th. I set it up and it was very unstable right out of the box. Windows would usually boot but then the machine would turn itself off within 5 to 10 minutes. I spent about 10 hours trying to figure this all out until my wife dragged me to bed and told me I should ship it back if it doesn't work right out of the box. My guess is I have a bad motherboard but I could be wrong (this computer has an ASUS Striker motherboard that I'm not fond of now). I was also concerned that it was running at 48+ degrees C right out of the box. I live in Phoenix so during the summer that could be an issue and Vigor offers no water-cooling options to allievate my concerns. It's possible that my unit just got too roughed up during shipping, it's nearly impossible to say other than it didn't meet my needs out of the box.

On Jan 19th, I called Vigor and got authorization from T. to send this PC back for a refund under their 30-day money-back return policy. I will credit the company for having such a return policy and it certainly sounds like they get it right most of the time. If they handle their end of the bargain and refund my money then I'll only be out shipping to and from my house and that certainly seems fair enough. By the way, I'll update this review to a neutral if they handle the refund as indicated on their website.

UPDATE: 1/23/2007
Vigor called and will be issuing my refund. My PC was broken... whether it was during shipping (more likely) or if it left them defective (less likely) I don't have to worry about.

"Currently deployed to Iraq, I ordered the Atlantis SLI notebook from Vigorgaming.com I ordered the system during the peak of the holiday season so the delay in production was understandable - when it finally came time for shipping, the laptop to my amazement arrived here to the base in Iraq in 6 days!

The Atlantis is a behemoth, taking up near half of my desk space. Runs real quiet and performs flawlessly. I guess one thing to note is that when I first powered on the system, the SLI-mode was not enabled. Not sure if there was a reason for that, but once I turned it on, pretty much all the games ran above a silky smooth 60+ fps. I'm looking into upgrading the hard drive as I'm already down to 20GB of space left on the 100GB internal drive.

Satisfied customer, looking forward to purchasing another system (perhaps a desktop this time) once I return from the deployment...

"This a preliminary review based on the ordering process and my experience so far.
I will update this once I have received my new system.

Before my purchase I had a few questions about the available configuration options. I sent an email to Vigor and received a response within 2 hours. I was happy with both the quality of the answers and the time it took to receive a response.

The following day I purchased a new system via web on their site. I immediately received an email confirmation and was told someone would call me within 48 hours to re-confirm my order.

I made the order on a Friday night and received a phone call mid day on Monday. This was acceptable as I would not expect to phone call on the weekend.

The person who called me advised me of one minor change to the system that was required (Power Supply Upgrade) do to the components I ordered. This was understandable. They also advised due to the high $$ amount of the purchase I may need to contact my Credit Card company to make sure that they would accept the transaction but they would let me know.

I received an additional call about 20 minutes later stating that I would need to authorize the purchase with my Credit Card Company who I promptly called. Following this conversation I called Vigor back for them to attempt to process the order again. The order was processed without issue and I immediately received a confirmation email from Vigor to let me know in writing that the order had been processed and the amount that was charged.

I have found the service so far to be both courteous and prompt. I will update this again after my order has been received or if any events come up between now and then that are worth mentioning.

Update - 1/22/07

I don't have my PC yet. Updating this with some new information. On 1/17/07 I was called and told that my system had been built and tested but that one of the RAM modules tested bad. I was told they were going to replace the RAM modules and retest the system before shipping. Their burn-in test is 48 hours. I said no problem, that I would rather be safe than sorry and was told I should get a confirmation with shipping tracking number on 1/19 or 1/22.

Today, 1/22 I called and asked for a status. I was told that after the painting process they retested the system and now the mainboard (Asus Striker Extreme) failed the burn-in test. I was told a replacement would be available around the middle of this week and that my system should ship on Friday of this week or Monday of next. I found the mainboard failure a little odd. Since I though the last time they called me to tell me about the RAM the system had already been painted so this didn't make complete sense to me that it was painted again? and this time another component failed.

In any case, I was offered free 3 day shipping for the delay without asking. I took them up on this. For now, I'm still hoping I get a nice system. I will take them at their word that the testing had now produced two different components but it makes me nervous. In all the system builds I have done in the past I have never had an Asus board fail, and I have only had 1 RAM moduele ever fail testing. It seems very unusual that 2 main components would fail now on one system.

In any case, talking with them has been pleasant and I am sitll hopefull that this was just a run of bad luck and I will have a nice stable system 'soon'.

"i was most impressed with the Vigor laptop I purchased. I ran into one problem trying to re-install the drivers off of the included disk. When I contacted Vigor about this I immediately got a reply email. It took me awhile for me to get it working but the tech helped me throughout the night thru emails and helped me resolve the problem. The problem should have been fixed right if it weren't for me screwing up the first suggestion given. I am extremely pleased with Vigorgaming and have already recommended them to several of my friends."

"My new computer came in a timely fashion. Ordered on the 9th and received on the 21st. the packaging was very good and nothing was damaged. once unpacked the machine was very nice looking and the cabling inside was sorted very well.

When i first set it up it would not boot. a check inside showed that one of the SATA cables and a power cable to one of my RAID drives was loose. Plugged them in and restarted and still wouldn't boot. I called tech support and once we got the the RAID boot order menu i new what was wrong right away, but tech support wanted me to boot to safe mode so i did. once in safe mode the tech support guy said that it must be that my monitor doesn't support the high resolution of my graphics card. ??? my monitor is only about a year old (Samsung SyncMaster 930s). I told him that when we were in the boot menu earlier that it looked to me the data drive (i have a RAID 0 pair and a single data drive)was first in the boot order, and needed to be moved down and the RAID boot first. So i did this on my own and amazingly it worked and booted fine right into windows.

The computer is really fast, Core components are:

This i just informational and no fault of Vigor, but at first i was really very disappointed with the graphical performance of the 8800gtx, i ran a few bench marks like 3dmark 06 and i scored a crappy 3080????? after getting really mad i did some digging around on the net and found that the latest drivers (97.44) are the problem. After reverting back to an older driver (97.28) my problems went away. 3D mark 06 score 12140 WOW!
Company of heroes, Elder Scrolls:Oblivion, Flight sim X, and BF 2142 all play great. As of right now I'm very happy with my Vigor PC!

Also... Vigor offered a $50.00 rebate a few days after my purchase. I asked them about this in a phone call and they were more than happy to offer it to me after the fact! Thanks Vigor Team!
