"I am very pleased with my new computer. The people at Vigor were very helpful in correcting the mistakes I made in designing my system. I looked at about ten different websites looking for a system to buy. I was lucky to stumble upon Vigor gaming as it did not come up during my first searches. I would rate the value a 10 out of 10 for 2 reasons being these first when I was examining what to buy there was detailed explanations of what each component is ( I do not know much about what is new) and they didn't seem to try to sell the most expensive part. And secondly this was absolutely the best bang for my buck for a great system with great quality. As I said I am very very pleased. Thanks Vigor Gaming!"
"My cust # was 21267, Sales Order was # 29134. Product was delivered on time. Had to call Vigor twice to get system going, first for the monitor connector setup, and second for problem with hard drives not being found. The tech walked me through finding the problem, power connectors to the drives came lose during shipment. once I reconnected these everything worked fine. Tech was very good at finding my problems and was very helpful. Only suggestion I would offer would be to include some system setup documentation with the computer.
Thanks - Don Stallings"
"It took a little while to make and actually ship, but overall, I'm pleased with the results!

"Exellent service, nice people, my e-mails were answered the same day. My only dissapointment is that I was expecting a monsoon cooler since it shows one on the Hornet graphics on their web page made me think it was standard. They don't offer the Monsoon Cooler anymore. Also the 9800 GTX was installed on the 8X PCIexpress slot instead of the 16X. Dont know why, but no big deal. The wiring job is exellent. I was going to buy from Cyberpower because of their prices and selection of hardware but when i read their reseller ratings there's no way I'll take my chance with them. I am very satisfied with this purchace and I feel confident they will take care of any problems that arise.I will order from them again in the future. Vigor ROCKS!

"Just placed my order for the Recon NXE running on duo 9800 GTX's. I will update this review as the weeks come. So far so good.
Update: The PC has been delayed of shipment for about 5 days - possibly a week. I've called the tech support (which happens to be very fast at answering their lines) and it seems the problem is a compatability issue with the system. The customer service guys were very helpful and even discussed with me possible solutions.
I will update this review again when I receive my PC and have ran games on it for a few days."
"I ordered my PC on May 9th (a Friday). I was contacted on the following Monday to confirm my order. Once my order was confirmed, they began production on my PC. I was told on the phone that it would ship out by Friday the 23rd of May. The days went by and I tracked the progress of my machine on their website. I called on Wednesday the 21st to inquire about upgrading the shipping to 3 day. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that my computer was shipping that day, 2 days early. Due to the weekend and holiday, 3 day shipping would have only made it arrive 1 day early so I opted not to do it ($65 more). My machine arrived on the day promised but didn't boot the first time I turned it on. I got on the phone with Wayne who walked me through some troubleshooting steps like checking all of the wiring and connections. Turns out that one of the power wires had come loose during shipping. Considering it had come over 2000 miles and from the west coast to the east coast, I felt pretty fortunate.
Once the power wire was back in place, she booted right up and I was up and running. My overall experience with Vigor has been wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a customized PC, great customer service, and a low price."
"Rating 10/10
I shopped for a desktop for 8 months [and picked up a Toshiba gaming laptop to hold me over during that time]. I was waiting on the Q6700 price drop to go into effect at the two web-sites I had narrowed down it to. When the other site adjusted for the price drop, they also stopped the ability to select a 2nd GPU even when a SLI mobo was standard, so that made it easy as Vigor had a better selection of components overall anyway. I finally settled the Hornet NE with a Q9450, an ASUS P5N-D mobo, 2 stock 9600GT, 4GB of Mushkin 800MHZ, 500GB HDD, Corsair 620HX PSU, and Vista Basic 64bit.
I want to make one thing especially clear, Vigor Gaming's customer service is EXCELLENT!! I had corresponded with them about getting sound through the 9600GT prior to my selection then , instead of waiting, made the buy the next day figuring that the P5N-D's optical out would serve as an acceptable sound solution. Being the weekend, a reply about needing to request the sound set-up though the GPU when I order wasn't sent for another few days after that and as I don't get much but junk mail [and my laptop was out for upgrades some of that time] I never checked it until the Friday before the Monday my rig was shipped. So I replied to the Vigor that I knew it was late, but if they could still get the sound set through the GPU to do it and to not worry about it if it was too late. So during that weekend I went online to the forums and asked about setting up the sound through the 9600GTs figuring I'd most likely need to do it myself later on and everybody was of the opinion that stock 9600GTs wouldn't do it, or probably wouldn't without an add on, or something. Anyway, I get my rig and the sound works through the GPU via the HDMI cable hooked up to my HDTV....
...and my stock 9600GTs turned into Zotac AMP! Editions.
I have been suggesting Vigor Gaming to people who were looking at Alienware, Cyberpower/ibuypower, or Velocity Micro on the various forums for months prior to my purchase based on Vigor Gaming's great prices for a custom build, a good rating with the BBB and generally good reviews in the customer service area. Now having experienced their customer service first hand, I can and will continue to suggest them.
As far as it concerns my rig, everything worked with a bare minimum of troubleshooting. I only needed to push in the SLI bridge which must have been slightly displaced during transport. I max out Vista's WEI [which really is a joke of a test] and I got 13,293 on the 3DMark06. I can't find one thing to complain about.
Vigor Gaming really is fantastic."
"This was my first experience with Vigor Gaming and it won’t be my last! I took the time to research many online computer makers. Needless to say I made the right choice! Vigor Gaming is great! I placed my order online and the next day I received a phone call confirmation! I was told that the motherboard I ordered came with a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme sound card and that I didn't have to spend the extra $110.00 on a sound card if I didn't want to! She offered to credit my charge card the $110.00 for the sound card! That shows you how reputable they really are! Outstanding! You can monitor the progress of your build on their website. My ship data was extended a few days for what I believe was QC testing. I ordered dual SLI video cards and Windows Vista 64 bit. They did thorough testing! All drivers were current. The cables were nicely wire tied in the case. It arrived sound and nicely boxed. They don’t install bloated unneeded software either like some other computer vendors. This baby is fast! Although a simple test, my Windows Vista Hardware Experience Test scored 5.9 the highest possible score! I have had my new computer running pretty much nonstop for the last 5 days without any issues! I have had zero crashes, and zero boot problems. The switch to Vista 64 bit was fairly painless too. If you’re thinking of Vista do it and especially the 64 bit version! It screams! All my old and current games run and run fast without any compatibility issues! You will see jaw-dropping graphics in DirectX10 games! You won’t go wrong with Vigor Gaming! I’ll come back and buy another one when I’m ready to upgrade! AAA+++"
"the computer and company is 10 so far great computer and shipping was great. "
"I am truly amazed by this company. After I had selected my custom built QXN Recon, Daisy and the technical support staff kept in constant contact as issues came up. I had 2 compatibility issues in my selections and they helped me handle them with no problems. My computer arrived as ordered and is just awesome!! I plan on ordering another iwht my tax return and I cannot wait. I can finally play Crysis on the highest settings with no issues at all. So far, no game has even come close to giving my new system a workout.
Once again I would like to commend the staff of Vigor Gaming on a job well done! Your service and support is bar none, the best buying experience I have had yet!!"
"as many others, I have looked around the web for a great machine that would not break my bank.
Also quality was a huge factor. Actualy I had to convince my wife on the best possible deal.
I printed 5 different configurations, with warranty info, Better business bureau reports, everything.
and I made my presentation to her.
One resolved complain in 3 years, a AA rating with BBB and great value for the money.
Vigor won hands down from the likes of Dell, Ibuypower, even from established places such as Alienware, Abs and others.
I received my machine yesterday.I had to have it delived to my Wife place of employement.
Soon I recieved a ransom note in a form of an e-mail. list of demands from my wife.
Clean-up the game room.cut the grass and others.
that same night a huge beautiful box ( with the real cool Vigor Logo on it) sat in my living room. even the sealing tape had the logo it,( I love those details).
I waited until the next day to set it up.
I also bought logitech z5500 speaker system( I upgraded my machine with a gaming sound card.
This is one beautiful Pc.
the first truly great aspect is the cable management.
Top of the line.
The Pc is just amazing looking.
Next (once turned on) not me, the Pc, I have been turned on as soon as I received the ransom note.
it is quiet, smooth and very quiet, the blue lights are such a sweet touch.(I am also glad of the absence of all the darn advertisements that is always found on new Pcs.
Nothing but essentials, a simple Vigor logo on a black background.
I have a 24 gateway monitor and when I am in front of my new system, speakers and all.
I almost feel unworthy of such excellence.
My hat off to you Vigor gaming.
I hope you will stay humble in your success and continue on with the great work ethics and traditions you must have.
Sincerely
Morteleux.
Ps: my dream machine on a limited budget.

"So far, I've been quite busy with file transfers and spring cleaning (my late reply), but this system is a beauty. It has zero problems, the associate who contacted me about my purchase informed me of a potential problem (Windows XP doesn't use the full 4GB RAM) that proved to be true but does not affect me whatsoever (it has future capabilities and still uses the 4GB on other operating systems), and it is extremely fast. As soon as I get to the bulk of my gaming experience, I am sure I will be pleased. I was sent plenty of information regarding manually updating any and all hardware inside the tower and I was given spare parts for key system components in addition to a notebook to keep some information in. I am very pleased with the service Vigor Gaming has provided and the quality of my computer. Overall, I give Vigor Gaming a 5 out of 5."
"Very easy to order, great web setup specially like the "?" for all the differnt components that you can pick for a system. Liked the tracking of the progress from order to build to testing then shipping. Made a few calls to them asking about the system, they were very friendly and patient with me. Got the computer on time and it works great Thankyou."
"I ordered the computer today at a family reuninon. (mothers day)
The reviews on this site are what ultimately convinced me to purchase from vigor after much deliberation.
I bought an ares laptop with
2.4 ghz processer
4 gigs of ram
200 GB 7200 rpm sata hard drive
i wish that Vigor would have more pictures of its products on its site, but overall the website design is very nice.
Hopefully all the drivers and ect will be installed.
Looking forward to the conformation call!"
"After much indecision and procrastination, a particularly frustrating session with my Dell desktop finally convinced me to pull the trigger on a new gaming rig. I'd been configuring desktops on various websites for months, and had narrowed it down to Velocity, AVA Direct and Vigor Gaming. I decided on Vigor at the end of the day because it offered the most bang for my buck.
I chose the Force Recon NXE, which started at $1,559, and upgraded to an MSI P7N Platinum board, an E6750 Processor, 2GB HyperX 1066 MHz Ram, a second optical drive, and the 8 in 1 floppy. After adding in a small sum for the Roxio software and taking away a bit for XP instead of Vista (yuck!), it came to $1,851.
The order was submitted via website on 4/6/08, confirmed by telephone on the next day, and it shipped out on 4/17 with a promised delivery date of 4/23. It arrived precisely on time. It was double boxed, well packed, and arrived undamaged with via UPS.
The comp booted right up with no drama. It's fast, the graphics are sharp and seamless, and I found it to be more quiet than expected. There's absolutely none of the bloatware that comes loaded on the mass market machines. It’s big, heavy, and the case seems very sturdy. The i/o ports on the top of the case are a nice touch and, amazingly, they are actually hooked up.
The large front fan wasn't spinning and the little speed control dial on the side of the case had no effect. A late afternoon email to Vigor customer service resulted in a reply waiting for me the next morning telling me to try pushing a small button which I hadn't noticed because it was flush with the case front. That worked, and I felt a little dumb, but was pleased with the rapid response.
The documentation that comes with the comp is a little thinner than I had hoped. There's a pretty nice "pleather" binder with a magnetic clasp and a Vigor logo on it. Nice touch, but nothing much inside; just a few pages of trouble-shooting info. The manuals for the MSI mobo and Coolmaster psu were pretty comprehensive, but rest was either pretty thin or non-existent. Especially lame was the documentation from the case manufacturer, but that’s not Vigor’s doing. The optical drives are OEM, so there's no documentation for either these or (more importantly)the two different versions of Nero software that came with each drive. The Nero website is worthless when it comes to OEM versions of their software and it would be nice to be able to make an intelligent decision about which, if any, version to install.
Incidentally, the case on the Force Recon is a Tagan Diablo, minus the enormous side fan. It was removed, evidently to allow more room inside for high end components. The 250 mm front fan is intact, and there's a 120 mm fan in the rear of the case that does not come standard with the Diablo. I liked this solution better than the stock set up, since the giant side fan seemed like a bit of a gimmick. The cooler listed on the website as a "Whisper Cool powered by Asus" looks to me to be merely an Asus Silent Square Pro. If true, I wish Vigor would have just called it by it's retail name. It's gotten some pretty lukewarm reviews and I would've liked the option to swap it out during the build. In fairness to Vigor, I had meant to ask about this and simply forgot to do so when invited by them ask questions. On the plus side, I was very pleased to see that the 8800GT card was a Zotac 660 Mhz which was a slight upgrade over the 600 Mhz card that I had expected.
The only issue I've had so far occurred after the install of the OEM Roxio software. I was a bit surprised that it did not come pre-installed as I had specifically ordered it as an upgrade, but no big deal. However, after the install and upon first use there was an immediate system freeze and after a re-start explorer.exe would not load. This means just blank wallpaper and no icons. Several reboots resulted in the same condition, but after throwing up my hands and letting it sit for a few hours (no weekend tech support) it booted up normally and has been flawless for the two days since. Bizzare.
In sum, I'm very happy so far and it's been a great experience overall.
By way of a final note, I see that Vigor has completely changed the configuration of the NXE. It looks like they've jumped on the 3 SLI video card bandwagon, with an upgraded (arguably) mobo and processor, and dual 8800 CT's, while downgrading the hard drives from a 150 GB 10,000 rpm Raptor operating drive and two 250 GB generics, to two 500 GB generics. The starting price is now $1,879. I think that two graphics cards with an option for three is a bit much for an entry level NXE, and I'm glad I bought when I did, though I strongly suspect they'd work with you to build the system you want."
