"Overall I've been reasonably satisfied with my system. The computer arrived on schedule and undamaged. Everything was well packed for shipping. However, the onboard ethernet controller didn't work properly. Apparently it is a relatively common problem with the ASUS M2N SLI motherboard, so I had to buy a new PCI ethernet card. That irked me a little bit, but everything else has been good so far."

"What can be said that already hasn't been. Vigor Gaming is a class act. I bought the Force Recon NXE and configured it to my taste and budget. I immediately received a confirmation e-mail and a phone call within 15 minutes of my order to verify the purchase. Their website was infomative and enabled me to track the construction of my machine from parts acquisition thru assembly and Burn in. I was emailed my UPS tracking number and received tha comp in the specified time. All the hardware (audio card, video card, Raid 0 hard drives, memory) were installed correctly and updated with the latest drivers. I would like to tell you about their customer support but I have had no need for them. Everything works tip top. This is a great company as the prior comments show. Just be careful on your configuration. You can easily slip past your budget by upgrading components. I would and have recommended this company to anyone looking for a custom computer. "

"I ordered my pc from Vigor on March 9th with an estimated delivery date of March 21st.
Everything was packed nice and secure with all the extras disk and manuals.
The pc came right on time as promised and booted right up.
I was so releaved that having read many horror stories from different people mostly about different manufacturers.
Three days into my new pc I had problems booting up and eventually the blue screen of death.
I am thinking oh no now I have a dead pc and the company is four states away, it will take forever to get it back and since it was the week end tech support wouldn't be an option.
A friend of mine took the computer to his shop and looked it over after many tries and four or five crashes I was told it was either a bad motherboard or the memory was bad.
I'm thinking great! my worsed fears have been realized I now have a 40 pound $2000.00 paper weight.
After getting the pc back for my friends shop I plugged it in and called tech support to see about sending it back,I was passed on to Wayne at Vigor after being on hold for about 2 minutes and we went through all the questions what did it do,what do you have on the screen now Etc.
Wayne told me I could send it back or we could see if we could fix it.
Not wanting to go through sending it back I opted to try to fix it.
With Waynes help we jumped right in. I pulled the cover off and first disconnected the motherboards onboard battery then we reset my Asus Striker 2 and disconnected the hard drives. We put the motherboard back together and reloaded the operating system then reformated the hard drives. By this time it was after hours I know Wayne probably wanted to go home but he stayed right with me till I was up and running. The computer is working perfectly and I could not be happier. This is a top notch company from top to bottom. I was never on hold more than a few minutes at any time everyone was polite. Wayne was awesum and I hope this review gets him a bonus. If you read this Wayne thank you again! The problems I had were caused by the motherboard and tech support fixed that. I would not hesitate to buy from Vigor again.

"I have purchased two computers from Vigor, one two years ago, and one last November. I have been having problems with the older one; over heating, problems with the hard drives, etc. and have called them, and emailed them. In the last 60 days I have received no responses to my emails, also I am unable to get phone calls through, and now I notice their web site has been shut down. My only conclusion is that they are out of business. "

"I like the system, but if I could do it over, I wouldn't have had VISTA installed. It is incompatible with every game I own and half of them don't have patches or updates. Great system but advise people to use XP instead of VISTA. I will probably slick my drive and install XP."

"Got a custom Hornet AE system, with almost perfect specs, (mushkin brand, Asus 590, etc). The one regret is that I didn't get the whisper cool system. If you don't get it, the system is LOUD. Way louder than my dell inspiron 4500 from 5 years ago. I'm going to contact them to see what my options are. My guess is that the cheapest thing would be buying a better mobo cooler myself and installing it myself. The case, seems good, but it's not perfect, and neither is the wiring. For one thing, the case is not screwless. And placing it back into place isn't the easiest thing. Come on people, this is 2008, not 1999: cases should open and close like butter. Second, they put the wiring from the mobo right in front of my pci slots, with zero slack. Meaning, I can't put in another pci card without ruining the sanctity of the wiring. This sucks, since this case is all about upgradability. Other than these gripes, the system seems to work well, and I got all the manuals to the components I ordered, plus Call of Juarez for free with my amd system, which looks beautiful with a 9600GT.
So basically: Get the whisper cooling system. And secondly, if you want to upgrade your pci slots, you may need to know more about wiring your computer than the average consumer. However, since Vigor is a boutique, most customers should be somewhat tech savvy.

UPDATE: 4/15/08
- Must say I'm impressed with Customer Service. Wayne, and the rest of the crew have been very good at contacting me, and making sure my experience has been smooth. Wayne offered to have my system sent over (they will pay for shipping) to have an Asus Silent square installed. He also explained why the case isn't screwless. I should add that he was all the more willing to talk "tech" with me, and I understand now why the cases are constructed the way they are. These people seem to really care about the quality of the systems, not to mention the quality of their customer service. I will update again, when the computer is returned.

Update: Computer came back, pretty quickly with the silent square installed. Must say I'm impressed with how much they tried to cater to my needs. (I'm a recording musician, and need both a gaming system, and a system that's quiet, a paradox for the most part.)

"I had spent a number of months comparing various gaming rig configurations from a dozen or so different vendors, and finally settled on Vigor as a good overall choice in terms of both price point, flexibility of customization, and quality of the components offered (as far as you can tell on-line). Similar systems would have cost several hundred dollars more from other vendors, the only exception being CyberPower PC, which did seem to offer slightly more for the same price. However, I read far too many horror stories related to customer service debacles and inferior or damaged components with CyberPower to choose them. So I went with Vigor.

I received my system as advertised, and on time (took about 3 weeks overall, which they told me up front - so I had no illusions about when I would receive my system). It is true that when I first began using it, I ran into an issue with the video cards right away, but Vigor's customer service was very responsive and helped me to identify the issue, which turned out to be nothing more than one of the cards having come loose during the shipping, and so was not responding properly. And I can say that this didn't seem to have been due to poor packing - the tower was quite well packed, padded and secured. Tech Support guided me through reconnecting the cards myself, and since then, I've been extremely happy with the system and its performance. Works like a dream.
