"I just recently ordered invitations for my daughters baby shower. The invitation itself is fine, however I ordered the special envelopes and they were a mess. One side of the envelope was glued shut, so I couldn't even get the card inside. I had to rip it open, put the card in and then glue it shut. Very time consuming and not what I expected from this company. "

"Hi I ordered bridal shower invitations from Vistaprint even after I read a lot of negative reviews and I am happy I still went ahead and ordered the invitations. They are exactly what I expected and I am very pleased with the early shipping and customer service they provided.

"I ordered business cards from them, and my design that I uploaded was way darker on the delivered product then it should have been. My logo was completely ruined. When I contacted them about this, they said it couldn't be made in RGB color scheme... who doesn't support that? So I made it to CMYK color scheme. New batch ... came out exactly the same. Garbage. I asked for a refund, they said they'd give it to me, and then sent me a refund invoice for about 20% of the amount it should be... Still dealing with their customer service. It takes them forever to respond. I'm guessing because their e-mail box is slammed with complaints just like mine. STAY AWAY!"

"The upselling has gotten out of hand! I can hardly get through the checkout process without offer after offer after offer. I think I had to navigate through fifteen different screens and confusing pages to get to my checkout confirmation. At the end I wasn't sure if I had accidentally purchased any number of the ridiculous offers they try to push on you. Sure, I encourage you to go give incentives to people to get new business but IM ALREADY PAYING YOU! I feel like the checkout process was harassment. That was the last time I'm ordering from them."

"Should have checked ratings on this company before ordering.
First order arrived but mistakes were made by the company. Second corrective order never arrived. They stated that because I did not follow-up within their 30 day timeline with the missing order, they could do nothing for me. I am an IT Director with limited time to perform follow-ups on small infrequent orders like this. The company seems more interested in blaming the customer rather than investigating their short-comings to deliver the product paid for by the customer. Interesting business plan, customer pays for product and receives nothing in return.

"Vistaprint ruined my wedding! I ordered a matched set of invitations, rsvp cards, envelopes etc in early June 2011. Delivery was to be 14 days standard. I received the envelopes within 5 days of order and was happy with them but waited and waited and checked the tracking status of order every 2 days but no other docs. I emailed them 5 times and every time they told me there was no problem they would be here in 3 days but deadlines came and went and so did the date when the invitations should have been sent to my guests travelling great distances. I rang them (after several attempts previously only getting voicemail message) and after 1.5hrs on the phone was told they could not do that invitation design any longer and I should choose a whole new design! This is a joke, I had already ordered dresses and invitations to match the original colour palette and theme. So angry and so upset and they didn't give a damn what they had done. They refunded my money but damage is too great and you need to be warned NEVER use this company!"

"This company is a joke! I ordered a targeted postcard marketing package from VistaPrint. Upon finalizing the order, I reviewed the list of these "so-called" small businesses. I was shocked at what they misrepresented as "small" businesses:

City of Los Angeles
United States Postal Service
County of Los Angeles
Citizen Immigration Services
LA Unified School District
FBI - Los Angeles Headquarters
Intercare Health Systems
City of Scientology
Paramount Pictures
Marriott International
US Army Corps of Engineers
Nordstrom INC
Sony Pictures
At&T Services
Mattel Group
University of Southern California
Walmart

Not only does the list not include even one "small" business, but some of these are not even businesses at all. Most of them are government institutions. I wasted 80$ for this useless service.

Furthermore, VistaPrint customer service is terrible - nearly non-existent. After five days, they have not once addressed my complaint. I demanded a refund for the product, and I am waiting for my payment processor to close the dispute and force a refund.

I am completely unsatisfied with my experience with VistaPrint. Never will I order from them again. Do not use VistaPrint!

"I ordered business cards from VistaPrint almost a year ago, and ever since they have been charging me $2.99 every month since then for NOTHING. I called and they said I'd signed up for a "Local Listing" to advertise my small business and that "it's really great" and i "shouldn't cancel it" blah blah. I never signed up for anything, and it's a scam they use to get small amounts of money out of a lot of people in hopes that no one will notice. This is WRONG and I will never use them or recommend them EVER."

"I have purchased from Vistaprint 3 times in the last 2 years. They always delivered in a timely manner, but I wouldn't trust them with anything important.

Quality of products is mixed. Their bumper stickers fade in a few months. Their T-shirts and mugs look cheaply made. The stamps, business cards, and pens look ok. The car magnets last about 9 months before they fade and weather away.

My main problem with them is their bait and switch marketing schemes. They bait you with offers of free shipping and dollar off deals. But when it comes down to finalizing the order, they just shift the costs elsewhere and charge you about the same amount. Their customer support is pretty bad too. The good news is that if you file a complaint with the BBB after you place your order, they will generally comply. If you force them to actually give you the deal that they initially offered, I would say the products are worth what you pay.

"Ordered wedding announcements on vistaprints.com. Complete JOKE!

They sent us them but there was a white line across the middle of the card. I tried to call them but the only way to get ahold of them is through email

The cards were also bent on the corners. Such a horrible idea to order through them

"BE CAREFUL! If you order business cards from them, make sure the print is not too small to read. My cards are unusable because the type is too small. They have an option where you can see a copy of what you're getting before you buy, but even that was bigger than the actual business cards, so it wasn't accurate."

"I have detailed my experience below, but if you don't like reading through the details just suffice it to say that if you like to gamble whether or not you will receive products you spent time creating, ordering, and money paying for, then this is the company for you. If you have nothing better to do than continually check up on your order and call customer service, order from VistaPrint!

My experience:

I placed an order May 31st for invitations to an event on July 1st. The site was very user-friendly, and I liked the many options, and the pricing was reasonable. After placing my order, I frequently checked my order status online to see if it finished printing or had shipped. Only a few days later, on June 2nd, it said my order had been shipped. Everything was right on schedule!

Since I ordered so early, I chose ground shipping, which unfortunately does not give a tracking number. I knew it would be another week or two at least before I received my order, so I patiently waited......and waited......and waited....then finally realized it was time to stop being so patient and contact the company to see if something had gone wrong.

So, on Tuesday, June 21st (nearly a MONTH since I had placed the order), I contacted customer service. The shipping information/address was correct, and they offered no explanation as to why I had not yet received my order, as my order was expected to have arrived. The customer service representative was slow, but very helpful, and made a replacement order for my shipment, for free, with expedited shipping (3 business days). She told me I would receive my shipment by Friday 6/24, indicating they would print right away.

Before agreeing to the replacement order, I told her that the event was July 1st, and since it was now June 21st, if I did not receive it by the end of the week (Friday, June 24th) this replacement order would be a waste because that would not even give me enough time to hand deliver the invitations. However, she assured me that I would receive the shipment by Friday (today).

I'll be honest, my expectations for this replacement order actually ever making it to me were low, but I gave them the chance anyway. I asked if I should contact them again, should I not receive the order by Friday, but she assured me that, indeed, I would receive the order by Friday.

It is Friday, and I have not received the shipment. Last night, I checked my order status online, and I was appalled to see that my "printing was still in progress" and that my expected delivery was on or before 6/28....a mere THREE DAYS before my event the products were invites to. This morning, I checked again, and it now said 6/29....TWO DAYS before!

I contacted customer service again, explained the situation, and asked why my order had not been printed or shipped. The representative was very nice and apologized many times for my inconvenience. She continued to apologize and said there had been an issue with the printing, and that unfortunately there would be no way to receive the shipment before 6/29. She offered to issue a refund for my original order if waiting until 6/29 would not work for me.

Side note: Call me a skeptic, but this whole experience makes me wonder if I would have ever actually received the replacement order, had I been able to choose to wait. It also makes me wonder if my original order was ever really printed or shipped at all.

I, of course, accepted her offer for the refund. I quickly received a confirmation e-mail regarding the refund that said I would see it in the next 1-2 billing cycles. I am hopeful that I get my money back.

I honestly cannot believe the time (and also currently, the money) I wasted using this company. I personally will NEVER EVER use them again, even though the products seem like a good deal, and even though they have great customer service. I honestly wonder if I could ever expect to receive products in a timely manner, or even at all! I have scoured their website to try to find out what their policy is on processing and printing time, but have not found one...not a good thing. In the future, I will make sure to use companies that have a guarantee on how long it can take them to process and print your order before shipping, so that you have a more accurate indicator of how long it will take.

Although my situation has been less than ideal, I remained patient with VistaPrint every step of the way. The only reason I am writing this review is to help others who are considering using this company make an informed decision, not to vent my frustrations. Therefore, I hope you find my detailed experience helpful in your decision whether or not to use Vista Print.
