"Website is a confusing mess. Customer support phone # is worthless automated crap. Site is intentionally made to confuse customer, once you try to go to checkout it relentlessly tries to self promote products. Coupons are annoyingly difficult to enter. I tried to cancel an order within 30 seconds of placing it and had nothing but difficulties. Now they are telling me that the refund can take up to 60 days... not pleased at all. I will be going to Office Depot or Staples from now on."
"Most worst print ever seen on Mugs. I am 100% dissatisfied with the print quality. I would have atleast little happy by receiving mugs without print. Will never try."
"CROOKS! These people should be in jail. Don't ever even think of responding to one of their discount offers. I had heard that they were crooks, but I saw an offer where you pay $5 for a $25 credit off anything. I figure why not give it a try? What have I got to lose? Well, every time I tried to add the $25 gift credit they sent me, the prices went up immediately by MORE THAN $25! If you refresh their website enough times, you'll see 3, 4, 5 different prices for the same items. They are deceptive rip-off artists.
Out of sheer exhaustion, I placed my order anyway without using the credit I'd purchased. Knowing that they have a reputation for cheap quality, I ordered the upgraded paper quality and coating. The cards arrived, and guess what? They are still cheap quality -- not something I'm very proud to give to others. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away!"
"to be honest, I expected way more from these guys.
I ordered 250 business cards and the quality was absolutely terrible - I couldn't read the writing on the cards, the colour was faded and blotchy. They were supposed to be well finished but look atrocious.
These were supposed to be professional business cards to be marketed to multi-million dollar businesses, and instead its absolute rubbish. Even worse was that their support team didnt speak a word of English and were rude.
Dont buy from these guys!"
"Vistaprint rocks! There are always coupon codes to get at least 25% knocked off the total (just search for them online), they are also partnered with ebates.com so for shopping through the ebates site you get a % of your money back from your purchase (usually 5 - 12 %). If you sign up foe eBates.com it is free but please mention I told you about it member name jasonlammons that way we both get a kickback of $5 or $10!"
"To make a long story short, it has taken VistaPrint three tries to print my business cards correctly.
When I received my first batch of business cards, I realized that they had cut every single card incorrectly, so that there was an unsightly and unprofessional-looking white band on the side of every single card. In addition, the backside of each card looked worn down and old, as if someone had rubbed the top of the card continuously with their finger, or as if the cards had been cut with a bread knife.
I wrote to customer service, who promptly replied and put in a new, supposedly fixed order for free. They reimbursed me $4 for some reason, and sent the cards to me in about a week.
When the re-do batch of cards came, I realized that they had screwed them up again-- yes, a second time! While the white band was gone, the top part of my logo was chopped off on every card due to the fact that the customer service rep had simply enlarged the design. The worn-down look was still there on the backside, and the colors were all desaturated and odd. I called customer service, who put in another order of cards for me.
I still haven't received these newest cards, but I did just get a notice that they just shipped. I am just about ready to call it quits and ask for my money back, though. I payed $41 for this crappy service, and it's really getting on my nerves. I needed those business cards last week! I ordered the originals on the eighth, and yet I still have not gotten satisfactory cards!
In short: VistaPrint's customer service is prompt, but they don't know what they're doing. The quality check/screening for the cards is terrible, and they aren't that dedicated to their customers. If you use their services even once, they will nag you with offers for "free" business cards and products for the rest of your waking days. They have a lot of shipping options, but all the good options are obscenely expensive.
If you do decide to go with VistaPrint, be warned: they charge you for little things like uploading your own design or asking for a PDF proof (which is a good thing to do regardless). "
"I heard about there free 250 cards on Pandora. I figured, okay, I'll give them a shot! First of all you MUST pick one of their 45 themes to get it free. If you go into the main collection, it will cost ya more. If you want it free, there's an advertisement on the back. No big deal. Wait until you get to shipping! The cheapest option is $6 and will take you almost a month to get! What a joke. I toyed with the notion for some time. The prices are not all that terrible, but their sales tactics have upset me enough as to avoid their products. I'll look elsewhere.

"Supposely free 250 business cards (or 4,24$ for delux) , but 10,33$ for shipping cost!
What a Joke! 10,33$ to ship 250 tiny pieces of cardboard. "
"the worst experience EVER! ordered business cards... paid for rushed delivery and the delivery was supposed to arrive with in 3 business days... I called the company and they said they havnt even printed them yet! WHAT A JOKE service! NEVER EVER USE THEM! very unrealiable!!!
SAVE UR MONEY AND TIME!"
"oh vistaprint where do i start. i got the living social deal ($10 for $50 worth of vistaprint products) and said, why not get some nice looking business cards. i got the glossy 100lb paper, uploaded color designs for front & back, and ordered the premium business cards. i put lots of graphics and thats why i chose the glossy finish. i got the cards (over 1,000) and am very dissappointed in the quality. the glossy is not on both sides! its only on the front. when you hold a card, you usually feel the back with your hand. it feels like crap, like paper, while the front is nice and glossy. ive had business cards made in the past and both sides have always matched. this is unprofessional- and when i tried contacting them, all they said is we dont offer 2 side glossy cards, sorry. garbage, never going through them again. waste of money."
"I've ordered from Vistaprint over the years, but my most recent 2 experiences are worth noting. After getting 2 coupons online and applying it to my order to see which was the best deal, the site continually morphs to the best deal for Vistaprint. I had to exit out, clear my cache and start over. The order went pretty well and I was pleased with the end result, but left with a lasting frustrating experience with their website. I had non-stop inconsistent trouble editing my business cards before ordering.
After I received my order I got a card for some supposed free items. Items are never free on this site as the shipping more than pays for it and increased incrementally and greatly with each "FREE" item. Long story short the link they sent me did not work as they offered, but was charging me for the "free" items along with shipping. YOU CAN NEVER TALK WITH A HUMAN AT THIS COMPANY. They have a call processing menu that refers you to email them. After 7 emails back and forth, they sent me a "fix" to get the free items. Their resolution failed to work period. I will look for another vendor to do my business cards. They are cheap as things go, but impossible to deal with if you need customer service."
"I ordered some semi-free cards online, got a response some days later that they had sent them early to me -great. Six weeks later I was still waiting for them. So, I had purchased them with PAYPAL and decided to claim through them - one day before the claim validity was to expire through PAYPAL. They apparently didn't respond to PAYPAL and PAYPAL refunded my money. I'm happy that I used PAYPAL (I'm not advertising PAYPAL)because I found a way to get my money back. Vistaprint is just a garbage company. I kick myself for bothering with them in the first place."
"Disappointed. I have never had a problem with them before. I usually get the 250 free business cards and everything is great. I recently ordered a website through them, which was great...until I tried cancelling. I was put on hold while they "Cancelled" my order, 18 minutes later, he gets back on the line to tell me they're having issues cancelling my account and I will be contacted within 3-5 business days. I asked him for his name or employee number - just in case I had any issues in 3-5 business days. He said his name was Sheldon, but was unable to give me any more information. ??? Good thing there's only one Sheldon, or I might have some issues! *Sarcasm*"
"I have ordered from VistaPrint three times:
The first time I ordered I engaged in their free 250 business cards offer. The offer comes with a price -- a VistaPrint business plug on the back of every card. If you are a business owner and trying to promote your own business, this is a very terrible thing. It did come with a free stamp, which I use very often.
You then have to pay for shipping. I chose the cheapest option (about 6 bucks) and they give you a turnaround estimate of about 21 days. To their praise, it did arrive much earlier (a little over a week).
The second time I ordered I purchased a free banner. I had to pay for shipping; however, the quality of the banner is remarkable. There is a rather small barcode on the right side of it, but it does not bother me. I again chose the cheapest shipping option with a turnaround of 21 days. It took over two weeks to receive it.
The third time I ordered I bought discounted Premium business cards (the ones without the Vistaprint message on the back). They charged me extra for an uploaded design, which I accepted, and placed the order. The color of the cards were not as they were on the screen. The grays were an orange-type color and the image was much more pixelated. I am not happy with this order.
Also, their website is somewhat confusing and they bombard you with offers on almost every page. You have to pay close attention to your totals and make sure you didn't accidentally agree to something you didn't want.
Moreover, I get ridiculous emails from them almost daily. The subject lines are borderline spam and say things like "You've been selected as one of our All-star customers," "You're the best," "Everything must go free," and "Congratulations." Meanwhile, the offers detailed are no more special than what they usually offer.
In conclusion, I will probably order from them again if a deal strikes my fancy. As I said, the banners were good quality -- so maybe some of their other products are too. I will NOT be ordering business cards from them again."
"The frustrating part about online reviews is that the people who write these reviews are often the ones who feel they got ripped off - it's far less likely for those who had their order go off without a hitch to review them.
Personally, I have ordered from them twice and been very happy with the results. The colors are very good, and the turn-around is quick. I ordered 500 postcards for less than $20 through a deal they had, and I had them within a week. The hidden charge of 4.95 or whatever it was for "custom artwork" was a little odd, but whatever, it's still a GREAT deal.
The shipping prices are a little on the expensive side, but what so many people who don't deal with shipping a LOT is that you're not paying for just the shipping. You're paying for supplies, shipping costs, shipping labor, etc. Just because something costs $4.95 to SHIP doesn't mean it only costs the company that much. There are many costs associated with shipping and packaging that most consumers never think about.
To those complaining about slow turn-around time, pay for faster turnaround. They have multiple options, and if your package took 21 days to get to you, most of that time it was sitting around not being printed because people paid to have their order put in front of yours. Don't be cheap then complain about it.
Personally, I would not hesitate to use them again. I don't order postcards a whole lot, but I like how simple the system was. I had everything ordered within 10 minutes, and everything in hand within a week.
Some people have unrealistic expectations of what they are going to get for a cheap price. If you go into vistaprint with realistic ideas about how fast the turnaround will be, and the good but not AMAZING quality you are getting, you'll be more than satisfied, as I was."
