"I love VistaPrint...I always order checks, business cards, marketing supplies, etc from them. They have so many promos going on at one time, it does require some tech savvy skills to make sure you don't void one promo with another when you click on their ads. Either way, they have excellent prices and their quality is great for what I'm paying. I did have some confusion on my last order, but was able to talk to a CSR and she was able to resolve the issue. I'm extremely happy with them and I've never had any issues with what I've ordered. Also, I usually receive my products within 7-10 days of ordering them. "

"This is an edit/update of a previous 1-star review I left for Vista Print which I am changing to 3-stars for neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.

I had placed an order that showed the price of a batch of labels at $1.99, and my PayPal total and order review showed the price to be $1.99. When I clicked "confirm" half a minute later, the order confirmation had changed my price to $5.99. (The promotion had not ended; I checked.) The site wouldn't let me cancel my order and their help page says that once placed, an order cannot be cancelled.

I waited till customer service opened at 8:00 AM EST and called to cancel my order because I was now wary of this company due to many mixed reviews on various websites regarding their services and mysterious charges.

The customer service rep (Paul) was very nice and agreed to cancel my order without any fuss or negotiation, which was surprisingly nice. He processed my PayPal refund immediately and I received my refund email while I was still on the phone with him.

This experience has changed my first impression of the company, though I am still undecided as to whether to give them another try.

"Designed and ordered a customer T-shirt. The pricing structure is not fully explained when performing this function on their website. They pulled me in with a $4.74 custom t-shirt special. (They seem to always be running specials.) I opted for a black shirt, $2.50 extra, and did backside printing, which was another $4.99 extra, and I was informed of both these extra charges in the process. At this point in the process the total cost for the shirt was displayed as $12.23, without shipping charges. I went to checkout and shipping was $7.15, which I don't consider great, but it is reasonable. However, I was also charged for two uploaded pictures I used on the t-shirt which was an additional $4.99 per picture, which i was not informed of till the end of the process. So basically, a $12 shirt ended up being just under $30. I priced checked with other retailers for custom shirts and this is still a reasonable deal. --- In addition, I also had to cancel another order that I placed at the time. The online cancellation process did not function even though the order had not been processed. Customer service was closed, so I sent an email with the order# to cancel the order. I called the next business day, and they said they did not receive the email, but credited me for the order without hassle, which had already shipped, and told me to recycle the merchandise. --- P.S. There are a ton of online coupons for this retailer; use them."

"Please be very careful when ordering. I will advice not to place a order from Vista Print by looking at the adds. The shipping is a ripper its always more than 6$ and take 21 days to arrive multiply the amount by 2,3,4 ---- if you need the delivery quicker and they will add items which you are not intended to order but will ask you yes no type question and you will end up with -- $ order. Hear is the trick once you place the order they shows they are printing your order and can't be cancel but they are very generous will refund you the money after deducting the shipping if you decide to return. The fact: shipping is 8$ for 2 dollar item after the coupon, again you have to send back the item by paying the shipping charge."

"I got an online deal through Living Social for spend $10 and get $50 worth of stuff. The directions indicated to put this information in at the end of checkout. Well, little did I know that until the end of checkout Vistaprint had a coupon already assigned to the purchase, and all the prices they were quoting were assuming I used this first coupon, and the two couldn't be used together. It seemed like all my stuff would be fairly inexpensive (all I really needed were business cards, but they kept giving promotional offers all the way to checkout, which *seemed* reasonably priced), until I got to checkout and saw the coupon issue and switched the coupons (since I'd already paid for the Living Social one), and everything suddenly skyrocketed in price! I felt cheated since they didn't tell me ahead of time that the original prices quoted were not full price.
I went back through my order and deleted everything but the business cards and a card holder, which made the prices of those items go up. My bill after my coupon ended up being about $30 (so $80). Shipping was outrageous. I think it was about $20 for 3 week shipping.

I felt nickel-and-dimed. The business cards look really good, but payment was stressful and deceptive.

"Like many others posting I had a very disappointing experience, but in the end had a somewhat satisfactory resolution.

I designed and ordered tri-fold brochures. My first issue was that when I finished the design and went to check out I was charged $4.95 for every image I had uploaded to customize the brochure. This was not clearly pointed out as an extra charge before I checked out. I am sure it is hidden somewhere in the fine print, but clearly they tried to slip this by.

Given all the design time I had devoted I ordered the brochures even though I was not pleased about the extra charges. When they arrived they were not folded properly with a 1/4 inch skew from top to bottom. In addition, the folding process they used, combined with the lack of quality of the paper, created edges that were very worn looking. I chose a darker template and the white paper below was boldly shining through where the folding had damaged the surface of the printing.

On the positive side I issued a request for a reprint, if they felt they could do better, or a refund if they couldn't. Within 10 minutes I received an email advising of a full refund. At least I didn't have to pay for brochures I could not use, but wasted a week waiting for them to arrive, and spent a lot of time developing them. This time will be wasted as the design is in their proprietary software and I will have to do all the work again to take them to a reputable printer.

"I was sucked in by their offer of 50% off for a A4 photo wall calendar at $12.49 with free upgrade to "premium glossy card stock". Once I spent 1-2 hours uploading photos and customising my design, the checkout page added a $4.50 "photo upload fee" and the standard shipping charge of $17.00 for a 14 day turnaround. My gut feeling was to scrap the order, but as I had spent that much time I went ahead and even ordered a second calendar to minimise the cost per calendar. Calendars have been received, the paper quality is rubbish and one calendar has a faulty wire binding. My email to customer service was ignored - I then spoke to a customer service person, who was fairly snotty. My advice: don't bother with VistaPrint!"

"VistaPrint's claims of free business cards or heavily discounted business cards seem to be misleading and not as advertised. I received a promotion in the mail, only to find that it was not available on line at the site they advertised. Not only that, but I needed business cards ASAP, and went through the process anyway. Their website takes you through the design and order process, and in the end, I ended up paying about $24 for my free cards because of simple customizations... and not the 500 I thought I was getting... just 250 cards. Dissapointed, but with a need to proceed, I continued on and ordered using PayPal and it accepted my order. Then, it brings you to another screen, asking what shipping I wanted... which of course was another bill for about $15 more. So my "free" business cards ended up costing me about $40. I would not recommend this site, as I truly felt ripped off. I know I could have done better elsewhere. Lesson learned. "

"I ordered baby shower invitations and thank you cards using a coupon I bought. I was tracking my order online and learned my order got hung up at UPS. The box was damaged and the contents were gone. Was this due to poor packaging?

It was too late to have the invitations reprinted and resent to me. Vistaprint took no responsibility and offered nothing in return. I finally received a refund for the amount I had paid.

The customer service was awful. I would NOT recommend this company!!!

"We ordered our wedding invitations and RSVP cards from VistaPrint because I had a coupon. The actual printed quality was pretty good (the design was my own), although the envelopes were fairly thin and see-through. We were happy with the results for the price and expected to use them again for our thank you cards even without a coupon as they constantly have "sales". Their shipping times and costs were fairly high though, costing half the price of the cards we ordered since we needed them within a week's time.

On October 1st I suddenly received a magazine I had never subscribed to - Essence - and through research on my bills, I realized that our order from VistaPrint included: "Magazine Subscription Item #: 385-001 FREE"

Their website included zero information and after receiving a second copy of the magazine this past week, I called the magazine to request it be cancelled. I was redirected to call M2 Media Group as they had subscribed me. When I called them I was then redirected to a website to cancel.

I realize now how VistaPrint is so cheap, they sell your information to other vendors!

Despite the price I will be looking elsewhere to print our thank you cards and any other future projects.

"DO NOT BUY BUSINESS CARD FROM VistaPrint!!! They stamp on the back "Business Cards are FREE at www.vistaprint.com!". Even though I paid for mine. Are you kidding me??? We use our business cards to promote our companies, not to promote VistaPrint. This is very deceptive, low class practice on the part of VistaPrint. Will never buy from this outfit again! Don't fall for the free stamp/business card crap, you still pay for shipping, which often you can find as deal locally."

"I can honestly say I have never been nickle and dimed more by an internet product provider. Once you select your item you then must go through an endless list of "options" with related up-charges (since when do "thank you" notes need security lining?? Since never! But guess what?! You get to PAY $2.99 to have NO security lining! Really?? Yes, really!) and once you are finished with your now ballooned order - you will then have to wade through several pages of "FREE OFFERS!" ACKKKK!!! Not. For. Me. I would rather pay more to another company than to wade through that nonsense. Never placed my order, never will."

"I ordered business cards from vistaprint. I chose the free option and as a result Vistaprint intentionally waited to create and ship my cards. I kept on top of the order tracking and saw that they hadnt even made the cards until 2 weeks after they were ordered. It has been over 3 weeks and I still have not recieved my order. It takes no time to make the cards, they should have been printed out by the end of the week at the latest. Such customer service is horrible so it will hurt their business. This is the 2nd time vistaprint has intentionally delayed an order much longer than it should have and as a result there will not be a 3rd time."

"I have been a pro advantage member for two years. I have used Vistaprint for holiday cards, business cards, 5X8 marketing postcards and other items. They have been fantastic. The products I have received have all been wonderful. I always check the glossy option and realize that their shipping rate is one way for them to make money when they are charging so little for their product (and many times the product is free). They happily reprinted 150 cards once for me since the photo on the back of the card was upside down. I always get a customer service person on the phone within 4 rings. Regarding the marketing pages you have to click through before checkout...just go up and click on "cart" and you can skip all of these pages. Become a vistaprint advantage member and you won't be sorry."
