"It is what it is: The dirt-lowest possible price for a piece of paper with ink on it. The quality is acceptable (6 out of 10) but VistaPrint suffers from pathetic web tools and miserable customer service (calls forwarded to India--you get the picture).
I ordered about 50-100 postcards. Passable quality, ridiculously slow shipping (from India, perhaps??), and of course the ubiquitous 25% Off Your Next Order coupon to keep suckers coming back.
The worst part of their service is not the print quality or the clueless reps, but their neanderthaloid web tools which require you to call them up to have them steer you through screens and buttons and procedures just to by-pass ONE small change like, say, having a blank card inside (ie: no upload). Go ahead, see if you can accomplish this without help.
After my postcards order I foolishly tried to place another order. But there was clearly a problem with the format of the proof I was seeing on the screen.
I had to call up, once again, and the rep. insisted on trying to edit my carefully-designed PDF document by squishing the height of the design to make it fit dimensions that were not even in their own downloadable template!! When I explained that you can't just resize the height of a design (it must remain proportional--DOH!) she just did not understand what the problem was. Clearly not a design person.
Finally I gave up trying to explain this BASIC FREAKIN CONCEPT.
Avoid VistaPrint at all costs. Spend %20 more and get BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS prints from 48HourPrint.com.

"I ordered 120 postcards to be sent to my best clients. I also added myself, and two of my other locations, to the mailing list. I received a mangled, damaged, bent and torn postcard, as did my other two locations. The damage to our professional reputation cannot be undone. The layout and print quality were acceptable, but I ordered new postcards, not used toilet paper!
Do NOT ever order postcards from VistaPrint. Local printshops charge more because they do not destroy your postcards, and your business image, before they mail them out.
Never again, and I wish I never did in the first place."
"Order total was slightly over $50, prices beat all local competitors, with savings over 50%. Received free shipping (arrived in one week from order) and many free products. Printing quality was very good, I really like the glossy finish on color prints! Would recommend to a friend and will order from them again.
Note: be sure not to sign up for VistaPrint Rewards (will be asked directly after order is completed) as this is what causes the monthly charge, you can also cancel immediately if you accidently sign up. "
"They suck. I pay extra for 7 day shipping -placed on 10th-should have arrived by the 18th right? Not until the 22nd. My project was completely destroyed-no materials. I lost over $2300 having to re-schedule everyone and the event. Do NOT EVER rely on them to be on time. Oh P.S. "free shipping" isn't completely free."
"Zero Customer Support... I called their 1-800 support help-line and was given only 1 option... Tracking information. Unable to speak to a live person. I tried emailing them only to be refered back to the useless 1-800 number. I even tried "O" for operator and also randon extentions in an attempt to get through to anyone. It didn't work.
My order of checks only had 4 of the 8 digits of my account number on them so they cannot be used.
How convenient to have only one option for customer support. If you need anything other than tracking information forget it."
"BEWARE of extra $14.95 a month charges for life until cancelled. Don't think you are just buying cards, shirts, letterhead, etc because when you agree to the terms and conditions you will be enrolled to a "passport of fun" and or rewards program costing $14.95 per month. You must read all of the terms and conditions and review your credit card statements carefully each and every month after purchasing anything from Vistaprint. No idea what I had for $14.95 a month or $74.75 because they did not even give me a password, user name or website to log onto. ABSOULTE SCAM and unfair way of making extra money after the sale. "
"I have a small business and have been using Vistaprint for over a year now for various needs. My first few orders were for business cards, you simply CAN NOT beat their price for the quality. I have ordered many different products and the quanity has always been well above what I have expected. I have had a few minor problems and when I call the customer service department they send out a new shipment to replace the error free of charge, no questions asked, no returns to worry about.
Their shipping times are usually much faster than what they quote on their site so don't feel the need to upgrade your shipping time unless you really need your items in a hurry.
They will FILL your email box after an order with promotions, I get about 2 emails a day from them, but a lot of their free offers are great deals. Sometimes you may have to pay more to use your custom artwork and you will still have to pay shipping charges, but overall they are still a great deal.
Some ordering tips...
Once you upload an image it will remail in your account history and you can use it again on other items which saves a lot of time.
Watch for discounts and promotions. They often run several promotions at the same time, make sure you are getting the best deal possible. You will get a lot of 25% off your next purchase coupons when you order, but you can usually find online discount codes for up to 40% off as well as free items, so research all the promotions before you complete your sale.
To take best advantage of their FREE items place several orders. They offer a lot of deals for a free t-shirt, free hats, free business cards etc. But it's only for 1 item. You can place multiple orders and still take advantage of the free items.
When checking out you will sometimes get offers to add more to your order at a discounted price. Say you are ordering 500 business cards, AFTER you submit your order while the page is processing you will be offered to add on additional cards at a lower price with additional shipping costs. Watch for these great offers too.
VISTAPRINT is a GREAT store and I will continue doing business with them for a long time, and I am usually a very difficult person to impress."

Order was supposed to ship via a carrier like DHL or FedEx, but no tracking numbers were given, Was told to wait 2 weeks for delivery. After a month, called and was told, Opps, sorry, guess there was a problem, let us resend, Again, after a month, NOTHING, was told that they were not sure what was wrong and offered the option of a resend, Requested a refund, still waiting... "I came across the reviews on this site and was very surprised. I have had phenomenal experiences with all the things I've ordered from VistaPrint in the past 19 months. This includes birth announcements, envelopes, photo magnets, address labels, custom envelopes, holiday cards, etc. with multiple orders. In each case I was able to customize my order completely online, preview and after placing my orders, I always received the items in less time than quoted in my shopping cart. I work in an industry of personalized and imprinted products, and after an exhaustive search for an affordable supplier of customized birth announcements and magnets in my own industry, I stumbled on VistaPrint in October '06. VistaPrint has the best web site and shopping experience I have seen for customized products, and their execution of my orders has been truly amazing to me. "VistaPrint is a total scam! I wish I read all of these reviews beforehand. I first ordered 300 wallet checks on 4/22; I received them in time but, when I finally needed to write a check, I realized that they got my checking account wrong! I called costumer service and had to wait forever. They told me that it was me who incorrectly submitted the account number. How dumb do they think I am? I was careful and meticulous in every aspect of the ordering process; especially the account number. Without that, the checks are useless!
I reordered; the checks were free but I had to pay around $15 for the soonest shipping; I chose this because I needed to use the checks SOON. I placed this order 5/15 and it is now 5/28 and the checks are nowhere to be found. I noticed online that the status of the order read: Printing in Progress. I called costumer service again and got the run around of course. Costumer Reps were forwarding me back to the main line and transferring me to other reps where I had to explain the whole situation again. The experience was excruciating, especially because I can't understand what the reps are saying most of the time. They explained that there was a problem with the printing, not explaining really why what the problem was.
She then said I had two choices, I can either re-order at no cost or get merchandise credit. I responded that I then had only one choice, to re-order since there is no way in hell I would opt-out for credit since I will never use their services again.
Now, I'm reading about these random charges of $14.95 for a "rewards" card. I really hope I don't have to go through that hassle. NEVER AGAIN. This place is a pile of crap. Actually, a pile of crap is a bit better than this shady dump. "
"Ordered 250 Premium Business Cards with an Illustrator uploaded design for a very low price and on standard shipping (said 14 day shipping). Arrived 4 business days later. Great quality matte and excellent print of font. I thought I would be disappointed since the preview of my card looked pixelated, however, these cards are better quality than Staples and Kinkos, and at a lower price. Very impressed, and grateful.
Update: I put in a new order a few weeks later for another set of business cards (500 qty this time). Same great matte and sharp text quality, and arrived again in four business days."
"I order 2 sets of items and paid for 7 day expedited shipping. Three days later, I received an email containg a tracking number and stating that only part of the order had been shipped by 2nd day DHL. The delivery day came and went with no package. I called DHL and they said Vistaprint never actually gave them the package to begin with. Next, I contacted Vistaprint. They tried to blame DHL. However, they could not explain why only part of the order was supposedly shipped or why the rest of the order was never printed at all. Furthermore, they informed me that the only option was to re-enter the order. As a result, there was no longer any way for me to receive the items in time now.
I strongly recommend that anyone who is considering doing business with Vistaprint read the entries about this company at www.ripoffreport.com and look at the most recent reviews at Epinions as well. Unfortunately, I did not and now I am going to have to monitor my credit card for the next as well. "
"I ordered 140 sick-on return address labels on the above date and they arrived 3/28/2008. They were ALL BLANK! VistaPrint failed to my return address on them! "I have had a very mixed experience with VistaPrint. They actually seem to be pretty reliable most of the time - I have made numerous orders for things like customised t-shirts and printed invitations over the past two years, and have had two problems in this time. First problem was not enough t-shirts were sent in one order. I rang them and they sent out some replacements, and I actually ended up with more than I initally paid for. The second problem is with my latest order. It's just a small order for some return address labels, but they haven't arrived three weeks later, and I did pay for priority shipping. I emailed them a week ago but they still have not replied."
