"My rating is REALLY a MINUS (-1) but we have to follow the rules.
It was very easy to purchase ELO tickets for a concert in Detroit in the NEW LCA venue. FULL DISCLOSURE: I am NOT a concert person and less than a novice at procuring concert tickets. Nevertheless, I attempted to surprise my wife for Christmas by purchasing two tickets in November 2017 for an August 16, 2018 ELO concert (her favorite band - I'm not sure why). In any event, although I was shocked by the ticket prices online I thought 1st row mezzanine with "together seats" (picture of location online) looked comparable to other ELO seat pricing throughout LCA.
I proceeded to spend $568 for 2 tickets including insurance (trying to be smart). The online receipt thanked me for the purchase and confirmed that the hard copy tickets would be mailed out the week of August 8th for concert August 16th.
Surprisingly the tickets showed up January 2nd 2018 via UPS. Upon opening the package and reviewing the tickets I was stunned. Again, I realize I did not do my due diligence and investigate/vet VIVID SEATS prior to purchase and probably deserve the **** slapping. HOWEVER, the face value price on EACH ticket was $110. It is demoralizing considering I paid $258 PER TICKET on VIVID SEATS fraudonline.
Obviously, I'm not happy with VIVID or myself. Sometimes ignorance is not bliss. The lesson has been learned and I will NEVER use VIVID (I do not care WHAT their LEGAL OR ECONOMIC SCALE answers are as to WHY ticket face values differ in actual sale price) or any ticket scalping entity. I'll just purchase a concert video for $5 from Target and watch it as many times as I like (save the insurance $$ as well).
Although, the online advertising picture of their VIVID SEATS headset crack staff is amusing, I will send my complaints to the Detroit/Michigan BBB in the hope that this type of general public ticket scalping/hijacking may somehow be regulated in the future.
A RIP OFF. Educate yourself and do not become a DOY award candidate. Buyer beware!"

When I asked him to make our tickets available at the theater Will Call window (I was concerned that our tickets might not arrive on time for this Sat. evening's performance), he said that that wasn't possible. I understand he couldn't do what I wanted. But I think it's very important for any online ticket seller to make tickets available in several ways, to accommodate customers' needs.

"High hidden fees... cost jumped up to almost 1/3 of ticket! Went from $54 to $70 per ticket! BEWARE! If there is any mistake made and too many tickets are bought, it is considered your error and there is NEVER a refund! The Only recourse is to try to resell your tickets and they will take a service fee from you in reselling them! Just make sure you ABSOLUTELY KNOW how many tickets you are getting! Double and triple check before you hit CONFIRM... even if the price may look correct! Because the price jumped up and before we knew it... we had bought double the tickets! And the fees are high! They will NOT refund even if it’s within seconds of purchase! "

"Bought tickets on Friday for a Monday game. Received them Saturday in UPS. Sunday got call that tickets were bad. They immediately resolved the issue, gave us better seats, and emailed the tickets. Made it to game on time and tickets were good. Alex in customer service/ sales was a great help. Very friendly. "

"Recently I purchased tix on this site and something has come up so I had to sell them. Vivid seats informed me I could not sell tickets but only purchase tickets on their site without further explanation other than that I am Canadian? I have had to sell them now through a third party.
Sarah from Quality Control Investigations has subsequently contacted me. The company was able to refund the processing fees and stated they were looking into resolving the other issues. "
"I attempted to buy tickets for parking for an event, and I only selected one ticket and agreed to purchase only one ticket. Upon checking my email, I had paid for 7 tickets! I never selected 7 tickets, so within minutes of receiving this email I contacted customer service hoping to resolve my simple issue. Customer service was dismissive and entirely unhelpful and told me they would not refund anything (even when the transaction happened less than 10 minutes previously). I was told my only means of recouping the lost funds was to resale my ticket, and after dealing with several customer service representatives, I was unable to resale these tickets due to some pedantics (I was unable to resale the tickets they had just sold me!). Awful service, and terrible website design.
The representative also told me if I had screenshots of every webpage I went through during the transaction process then they would reimburse me for their website error, but what reasonable person creates screenshots of every website they utilize to purchase tickets?"
