"I placed an online order on Oct 25th for an IN STOCK book. Walmart emailed my confirmation along with an estimated delivery date of Oct 31st to Nov 4th. I called them on Nov 7th to inquire since I hadn't received the order. I was told the item was IN STOCK but they were still processing. I called again on November 14th and was told the item was not (and was NEVER) IN STOCK. They said the webpage's IN STOCK notice was an error and they would correct it. They couldn't explain why the first CS agent told me it was IN STOCK. I asked for an ETA and they had none. I cancelled the order (after waiting 3 full weeks). What a way to run a business."
"I've ordered from Walmart online several times and have always had good results. They typically handle orders quickly and they arrive in good shape. I've ordered items as small as a video game and as large as a bed, all with good results. This order was for a ~60" TV stand to hold my HDTV. The unit was all glass and steel and FedEx delivered on time in perfect condition. Xmas last year I ordered a Xbox game for my son only to have a relative buy him the same game as well. Of course he opened the locally purchased game 1st. My local Walmrt had no trouble with me returning the one purchased online. I personlly think Walmart online is better than visiting the local store."
"Someone woke me up at 9:30AM, when I was going to sleep for two more hours. He told me they wouldn't be able to find the delevery location, then when I called back he told me the driver knew where the location was. That was the first mistake. Then I never got a call telling me that the delivery truck had arrived, so I called them to see what's up. She claimed they had called me (they hadn't - I have a month old cell phone, I know when people call me) and now I have a 3 hour window to go after my package? Walmart needs to ship via UPS or DHL or something that is reliable, their carrier is a joke."
"Had oil changed in my car at Walmart TL center. They state it is not their fault instead it is a faulty oil filter that cause the issue that blew my engine. They are refusing to take any responsibility for their service. Most people dont do business like this. Buyer beware! "

"Ordered a Sony PSP online as a b-day present for my nephew. They had it listed as in stock. After a week of not shipping I called customer service and they said it wasn't but that they were expecting a shipment from manufacturer soon. I cancelled the order and will never buy from them again. If it's not in stock don't list it as in stock. It's that simple."
"On 4/14/05 I ordered a 32" LCD TV on the Walmart website and it was listed as IN STOCK. I never received a confirmation E-mail from them so on 4/16/2005 I checked their website and found the item had been changed to OUT OF STOCK and my order was listed as "Processing" - whatever that is. On the 18th of April the TV was again listed as IN STOCK so I called them about delivery - All they could tell me was my order was in "processing"
On the 28th of April I again called customer service... The TV was still listed "IN STOCK" but the customer service rep told me my order was still in "processing" and the TV was actually OUT OF STOCK - the website was wrong.
This was a $1300 order and At this time, customer service doesn't seem to know or care if I ever get my order.

"I had ordered a Toddler Bed for my son, and by the time the order was delivered (took about 2 weeks time), the box was all ripped open, and the entire tools/screws were missing from the set. I had to call up the customer service, and the lady was nice enough to help me through the process, and send the missing pieces, which arrive in a couple of days time.
Overall, it wasn't a great experience, but the customer service folks did make the process easier, especially when the package delivered initially was broker/incomplete.
I have been shopping online for a long time, and this was the first instance when I had to follow-up with the customer service, which wasn't bad though."
"I am not very satisfied with the service I received with this order, which is the subject of this review. I ordered two Goodyear GT-HR, which can only be special ordered, from their website. The tires were delivered really fast,but the problem lied on UPS, who "likes" to separate shipments of tires. Also, the technicians in the tires department were all too tied up with people who went there for oil change. By the time they got to me, half an hour had already past. I wish they could have a separate line for tire customers; afterall, the department is named tires department."

Good communication, excellent price, and fairly prompt shipment. I guess I'm spoiled because I've received orders from some vendors a couple of days after placing the order. This took a week but I'd probably order from them again, anyway, provided I wasn't in a big rush to get the item.
One thing I noticed, though, was the box was rather poorly packed and only one strip of clear, plastic sealing tape was used to seal the box. In fact, the tape had separated and the box was partially open. Thus, not sure whether I'd be confident in ordering anything fragile. "

Received an order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and a general USPS tracking number all within two (2) days. Package arrived to my home in Florida in great condition within eight (8) calendar days from order date.
I have made several purchases from Walmart.com in the past and I have had similar issues as other posters. "Ordered a Nerf N-strike for my son's Christmas present on 12/9/2004. Got an email said it was shipped on 12/11/2004. Got an estimated arrival date between 12/16 and 12/20. Checked with their shipping partner's site and found out that the actual estimated arrival date was between 12/24 and 12/28. Still waiting for it to arrive. I had to apologize to my son for the late arrival of the present. I will never order from Walmart.com again."
"I tried to purchase on-line the Lord of The Rings Special Extened DVD Trilogy on Dec. 4th. By Dec.16th Walmart sent an e-mail said there would be a delay on my order. By Dec. 19the I receive another e-mail stating they had to cancel my order which did not give me much time to order it someplace else for Christmas. I am very disappointed in Walmart and will not trust them again to order from if the item is of a lot of importance. I was suckered into their adversting of the promise of the product."
