"My wife purchased a Breitling watch for Father’s Day at a very reasonable price. After approximately 2 1/2 months The face of the watch rotated counterclockwise, where are the 12 o’clock is now situated approximately 11 o’clock position.
As instructed I returned the watch to WatchMaxx and I
had to pay over $50 for shipping and insurance which I feel the company should have paid for since it was under warranty and less than three months old.
I received an email stating it would take 4 to 6 weeks to repair this watch. Now 7 1/2 weeks later I was informed they are waiting for an estimate from Breitling to the wholesaler from whom WatchMaxx purchased it from.
So Breitling is in possession of the watch and customer service at WatchMaxx has no clue and can’t tell me when I will have my watch back. It could be a week it could be several months; they don’t seem to care."
"My watch came and it was not what I thought it would be as far as the typical quality Im use to from Movado. Apparently when you buy a watch from watchmaxx and want to try it on once it arrives, you cant. If the stickers or tags come off at all, even if you dont wear it, your subject to huge restocking fees ans other. The customer service isn't Amazon or typical big online retailer, but more like a shoestring budget operation trying to compete with the big guys but the customer ends up being the one to pay apparently. "I decided to order my Tag Heuer Carrera 02 from the website rather than by phone. I had no issues ordering, in fact the transaction went very smoothly. I decided to submit my wrist size and knew it would add a few days before shipping. I elected to have my watch shipped Next Day Air. I paid a little extra but I wanted to know exactly when my watch would arrive so that I would be available to sign receipt of it. A few days later I got my shipping confirmation with an estimated delivery time of 1030am the following morning. My watch arrived at exactly 1020am. My Tag arrived as advertised. New box, new watch, manual, warranty card, Norton Shopping Guarantee, and the links that were removed due to sizing. I did contact customer service with a question and found the associate to be very professional and helpful. I would definitely purchase from Watchmaxx again. "
"I ordered an Omega watch through Watchmaxx.com. I was mortified when my package arrived.
As I opened the box, I found a 2nd box wrapped in 2 UPS letter packages (one would assume to prevent damage). In that box labeled "beige", was the box for the Omega watch I ordered.
In that box, the watch was not strapped into it's little cushion, the packaging was smudged & a large white tag with red writing on it was attached to the watch. I was planning to give this to my boyfriend for his 50th birthday, but it looks like it was either stolen or a counterfeit. Not at ALL what I expected.
Just imagine giving an engagement ring to your partner with a large white & red tag on it. Classy? I think not.
Keep in mind this is a $6,000 watch.
I was told by the sales manager that I should not be expecting a "white glove" process as they are not an authorized retailerand that indeed this is how they ship all of their products. Of course, NONE of this is disclosed or published anywhere online or on their website. Not anywhere does it say how the product will be shipped or how it is to look.
Then, to add insult to injury, they want to charge a 3% restocking fee, I have to pay to ship it back,and they effectively told me I'm out of luck. I have photos of all of the above & everyone should be aware of how these items are packaged, shipped & presented.
Had I had any inkling that this is what I would be receiving, I would have run for the hills.
