"I placed my order on April 13th. The expected delivery date was May 18th. So that would've been 5 weeks for delivery. One business day before they were supposed to be delivered, the order status changed to "Backordered". I called on May 14th, and the woman was apologetic and said yes they are backordered and gave me a small discount for the hassle. The updated estimated delivery date was June 4th. Today is June 3rd. It still says "Backordered". So I called today, Christopher answered, he said I can call the warehouse to find out what's going on. He came back on and said "they have been in stock, they aren't backordered, it's just that the warehouse has been closed for about 7 weeks" Convenient that I placed my order almost exactly 7 weeks ago. He said "they are open again and they should ship on Friday" I was in a rush so I just said okay and got off. I should've been told the first time I called that the warehouse was closed! I would've cancelled my order then! "
"I waited a month for four tables. During that month Wayfair kept taking money out of my account and then putting back in, which is very frustrating. Finally after a month, we receive our furniture. We go to put it together and we open the first box (sofa table) and it’s completely smashed. We open the coffee table and it has some small gashes but I was going to keep it anyway... until I realized it didn’t come with any legs. Then I open one of the end tables and that table was also crushed. It also did not come with any legs. I tried to call and was put on hold for 45 minutes. So I gave up because I have a family to take care of and I just spent several hours putting all these boxes back together. So this morning I call twice and was put on hold for 35 minutes each time before I finally talked to someone. Which that call went okay and I was offered a refund. However, I wasn’t offered a credit or anything after all of this trouble and now I have to find a way to dispose of these huge tables (which I will have to get a truck and pay to drop them off at the dump). It’s just a HUGE mess. I will never shop Wayfair again. "
"I purchased a crib on Sunday and cancelled the order in under an hour. When you login to your account there is a button option to "Cancel your order". If selected, it takes you to a page saying your cancelled REQUEST is under review. A different thing altogether when thinking you can simply cancel an order vs. request the cancellation.
Received an email today, the following Tuesday that they can't cancel the order as it is in production already (but hasn't shipped). I will be responsible for paying return shipping costs in order to get a refund. I've been on for literally 2.5 hours trying to get ahold of customer service to cancel before it ships. There automatic recording indicates that they have "unusual hold times that may last up to 55 minutes".

"I ordered a item from Wayfair because of a feature their on line description had in 3 different areas of the description. It arrived without the feature. I have spent over 45 minutes on the phone 5 different times and never gotten anyone to answer. I tried using their online system to handle the problem. I sent them 7 different pictures of screen shots and a letter. Nothing was answered. Finally I checked my account and discovered that they had cancelled my complaint. I only got canned emails saying they were looking at it, not that it was cancelled or that I needed to do more. In my opinion they are thieves and this is nothing but a scam. You are better off buying from a local store or a reputable online business. Wayfair is not reputable. Fool me once shame on them. Fool me twice shame on me. I won't order from them again. I suggest you do the same."
"Order an outdoor dining set which was advertised as 2 week delivery.. Order 5/10 and its 5/31 now and I was told I should have it by 6/10... The outdoor season in New England is short so wish I would have known I could have found something local.. "
"I'm a young mother of 4, and a student. Resources are tight. Finally, I dared to purchase myself a desk and two organizer cubes. I've been working on the floor for 8 months. But my items never delivered. I've called 3 times and waited over 2.5 hours on hold. Finally figured out how to get a refund issued through the website (go through the options as if there's a piece missing. When you get to the part where it asks how they can make it better, open the drop-down menu and select "refund"), but the card I purchased the items with I had to deactivate because it was stolen. I'm trying to get this money refunded to my new card, but there is no way to do this, no one ever picks up, and there is no way to email them."
"I have very very bad experience with this company. I wish I can give rating in NEGATIVE. zero customer service and very very poor website options.
I purchased mattress after doing my research, also talk with their chat support to confirm that if I dont like mattress, they will do pick up from my house with zero shipping cost to me. Mattress advertised as 6" but it is not even 4" and not at all firm. May be they have send me wrong mattress. When I tried calling their customer care, no one came on line after many attempts and waiting for hours. They are just using COVID situation for high call volume.
I tried to chat with them but they only support pre sale items and not post sale support. I have request call back from supervisor and they said manager will call me in 2-3 business days. After waiting for week, I tried calling them back. And tell you what, it started from scratch and same waiting time, no chat support and no one called me back......
I would highly recommend to stay away from this company.......FULL STOP."
"I ordered this beautiful dining room table on 2/24/2020. I just looked under the table to vaccum and I notice on one side both legs are cracked in half. I couldn't believe it. There is only 30 day warranty. I should of bought the additional warranty. I was foolish. Now what, so I use gorilla glue. Good grief. I will never buy from you again. "

"How is company like this allowed to stay in business? They are just offering the same garbage you can get at Rooms to go but you have to put it together yourself. What a racket! Plus the item I received was not as described on the website. When I called to someone I was put in a queue that said it would be over 30 minutes to talk to someone with no option for a call back. I get it, once you have the money, you don't want to hear from us. Fine! Lesson learned. I'll never be back...."

"Bought a cat tree on May 11th. Fed Ex received it May 13 and promised me delivery by end of day May 21st. At 4pm on May 21 Fed Ex emailed me to say that delivery was expected May 26. Called Fed Ex and they told me Wayfair just got them the package that day. When I told them it was actually May 13 in California that they received it and it had made its way to Canada on May 18 yet, the manager said she was also aware they had it since monday the 18th in BC. But that it was easier to lie to me and say they just received it. I inquired with both Fed Ex and Wayfair to see if its possible that Fed Ex not get paid for this delivery by canceling the order or reordering it again but was told no. I will simply not by from Wayfair again if they support and use such unethical delivery companies."
"The worst company i ever dealt with, HORRIBLE customer service. they enjoy putting people on hold for hours with no answer. I had already paid for the product and hadn't received it. they kept pushing the delivery date back further and further with no explanation. I will NEVER EVER deal with them again. i hope people read this before dealing with theses clowns it's not worth the headaches. The only reason the received one star is because they wouldn't let me do zero!"
"Whatever you do, don't order from wayfair. Save yourself the hassle. We ordered a piece of furniture a month ago for our anniversary just for them to tell me they lost it. Also its out of stock now so I have to wait for a replacement. We will not be doing business with them ever again. "
