"I didn't have the best experience with wirefly. I ordered the Droid Incredible and was aware of the shipping in 2-3 weeks. What really got on my nerves was how many times I had to call and "update" my information. I had to call 3 times to give them a pin for verizon, each time they would say your phone will ship in 12 hours. 36 hours later I would get a call saying to call them again and give the exact same information. 3 weeks to the day minute that I ordered my phone I talked to them and the quote promised that the phone would be shipped in one day, one day later I had to get on a chat with them to find out what was going on with my phone, they apologized again for the inconvenience didn't tell me what had gone wrong but did update my shipping to next day. All in all I would consider using wirefly again if the phone wasn't 2-3 weeks till shipping. Also a quick note, if you are adding a line to a phone, save yourself some hassle and order everything under the name of account holder, not half under his/her name and the other his/her name."
"My purchase w/ Wirefly was great until I had to exchange it. The phone I initially ordered was great but it do what I wanted it to do. So in returning it & getting a different phone was a complete ordeal, leaving me w/out cell service for 4.5 days which I paid a $250 deposit on 2nd phone to avoid. Moral of the story: Order what you want the 1st time around & things will be great!!!"
"WORST customer service EVER. I made the mistake of buying an EVO from Wirefly because it was $10 less than Sprint...what a mistake.
Instructions say don't contact Spring to activate, use their service. After spending 1/2 hour trying to use their stupid automated service (NO Way to get a representative directly, never had that problem before!) I sent an email to Customer Service. Than another. And another. Six in all. No response!!!!
Finally called Sprint, got phone activated in 10 mins by a charming and knowledgeable.
I cannot believe a company that does not respond to six emails to their CS department."
"UNETHICAL!!! Upon adding a new line to my account and purchasing a new phone from wirefly, they, MISTAKENLY, upgraded my account from an older account, costing me an additional $20 per month. When I addressed it with them, they accepted responsibility for the mistake YET, did nothing about it. AT+T couldn't change it back again because it was a plan that was no longer available. After 4 hours on the phone, 4 different people, wirefly's best way to compensated for THEIR MISTAKE that would now cost me an additional $20 per month was to offer me a free blue tooth head set that had about a $20 value. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY. There are other sites that you can use that offer the same kids of deals with better support. "
"Ordered it on friday...got it on tuesday. Easy transaction and I got bing cashback with no tax and free shipping. No brainer. Be wary though, they have large cancellation penalties for cancelling your carrier service prior to six months...even for upgrades. If you are not planing on cancelling, you're set."
"From the start I was misled by the Wirefly sales associate. I asked him a question three times to make sure that when I placed my order for a new phone, my phone plan would not change. I was assured it would not change. When I got the phone - TWO WEEKS LATE - the plan had been changed. Then, when I went to return the phone, the website said to contact the carrier to cancel the agreement. The carrier would not cancel until notified by Wirefly - again contrary to what they said.
I would never buy anything from this service again. Plus, everyone who works for this company is in India or some other country."
"I was a little nervous about ordering through Wirefly, given the so-so reviews they've gotten. I ordered two phones, both needing to be transferred from T-Mobile to Verizon. One (the Droid Incredible) was backordered (actually, from all suppliers), and delivery was expected in 2-3 weeks.
I was surprised and somewhat skeptical when I got an email confirmation that said both phones were on their way, less than two days after the order. Indeed, they both arrived as promised, and the porting of the numbers seems to have gone flawlessly.
As they say, YMMV, but my experience with Wirefly was as good as it gets!"
" I had previously purchased a new HTC Hero with Sprint service for a friend for his birthday. He liked his phone at first so I placed an order with Wirefly for the exact phone with service from Sprint for myself. The same day that I placed my order my friend advised me that his HTC Hero was not working and would not receive any text messages. This is only after 6 days that he has had the phone. Wirefly was no help when he called them and Sprint referred him back to Wirefly.
I then did some research on the internet and have found that the HTC Hero suffers from the no text problem as well as numerous other problems. There are pages and pages over numerous websites of people complaining about this phone.
So I then went to the Wirefly website and looked at the status of my order. The order had not passed their "quality assurance team" and therefore had not yet shipped. Service with Sprint had also not yet been activated and the site said "service to be scheduled". I tried to cancel my order using their "cancel order" button but the system rejected my request. No reason was given. According to their website my only option was to cancel by sending an email. Note their live chat was not working. So I sent the email requesting cancellation and I told them why.
Fast forward to the next day. No response from Wirefly except for an updated status on their website showing that my order had shipped and service had been activated with Sprint. What the? My cancellation notice was completely ignored and Wirefly says they shipped my order after I had cancelled. I have printed all correspondence with Wirefly and have proof that the order had not shipped nor the phone had been activated before I cancelled.
Today I contact the poor customer service for Wirefly which is based in India. Not varying at all from her script the agent tells me that there is nothing I can do except send the phone back at my expense. And that I am now in a 2 year contract with Sprint. Oh he?? no!
I will refuse the package when it arrives so I will not have to pay to ship it back. Why should I have to pay for Wirefly's incompetency? I will also advise Sprint of the scam Wirefly is running and will try to get out of my contract.
Please do yourself a favor and run away from Wirefly. Do not do business with these crooks. I read the reviews here and thought it couldn't happen to me. Well it did. Run away fast!"
"Wirefly has been iffy here and there. I've been reading it's a hit or miss deal with them. I got an HTC Incredible from them. Took about 4 weeks to get to my door. The day I got it I have to wait a day for them to activate it on their end. I waited till next morning, was too excited and contacted tech support again. She then activated it for me.
I was suppose to get $50 bing cashback, but it never went through. I'm thinking they did this on purpose to have those people who are not willing to fight for their money lose the deal. I'm going through Bing and Wirefly to try to get my $50 back.
At least they had great online tech support. But trust me, if you order over the phone with them, the indian tech support does not understand english very well and will probably be of little help. Just order online and get bing cashback deal.
I give this company 2/5 stars."
"Great price, quick shipping, slow activation. I ordered during a sale for the initial release of the Sprint Evo and while I received the phone quickly, I had to wait a day for activation. It's not a big deal considering the great price I got but it's frustrating when you have your new device in your hand and you cannot do anything with it. I would definitely use Wirefly again, thanks for the great deal. "
"This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Wirefly, and once again I am completely happy with their service and their prices. They do all the work for you including activating your phone, so when you receive it, its ready to go. I HIGHLY recommend them for your cell needs. You always find awsome fantastic deals through them. I got the Blackbery Curve - Purple by the way, and I love it. Im going to be a blackberry user from this time forward, I love all you can do on it. Only down fall is that the batteries could last a bit longer, but other than that awsome phone, especially for those of us *wink* who forget things, it keeps track for you with a downloaded app. "
"Painless ordering. Replaced an existing Blackberry on my Sprint account with an HTC Evo. Order arrived quickly (ordered Friday, received Monday). Activation went smoothly and automatically on the phone after power up. Their communication was very good with providing a tracking number and the status of my order. Would buy from again."
"Wirefly is the best. I ordered new HTC Evo on Friday and Wirefly had at my door Saturday afternoon. The HTC Evo is the best phone out there and I'm so happy with my purchase. However the battery life on this phone is the worst. But overall....I don't have any regrets. I'm a happy camper."
"I will never use this company again. I have been waiting to activate 1 ported nmuber and 2 new numbers since 6/4/10. The service is the typical is the phone charged did you dial the activation number. Then you get the I will start a work order with activation for your problme. Then I was told to call Verizon directly. They had no record on the phone numbers that were issued. So I've had to wait even more time. Unexcusable behavior. "
"Saved a ton of money by ordering through them. Item shipped quickly, was in perfect condition, and they even gave me a free bluetooth headset. Couldn't be happier with my order."
