"This is an edited review from my previous horrible review of Woodland Direct. Briefly, I received table top heaters that did not work properly, I returned them and have had no luck in receiving my credit and experienced serious issues with their customer service.. The communication turned quite negative....UPDATE .....I received a call this AM from management ( Mr. Bill Long) and he was very understanding and helpful and is processing my credit as we speak. He apologized for poor customer service but in retrospect, I think tempers flared and we are both somewhat responsible for the communication breakdown. I am happy with the result of this dispute and after speaking with Mr. Long, I would indeed do business with this company again. After much angst, it ultimately was handled well.

While it fit snugly into my small Zero Clearance fireplace the space it took up required a smaller fire offseting the improved heat transfer effect. I noticed that used units could not be returned. As using the unit was the only way to verify its usefullness I was left with your claims for information and they did not work in my case. "I purchased a 25" x 6" chimney liner that was less than 18" long. I was told by csr Yvonne to pull it until it expanded to 25". I had told her it was fully expanded but I followed her instructions and pulled it until it pulled apart. The parts still totalled less than 25'. I was told to return it to the manufacturer at a cost of $20.00. I was then told that they received it and would not replace it because it was 25' long and it was damaged. So now I have spent a total of $144.89 and received only grief."

"I asked a local company if they could order the chimney brush I needed since it was an odd size. They promised delivery in a week, which became two, then three. I told them if it didn't come in as last promised that I would cancel and order online. It didn't come in. I orderd from Woodland Direct.
Woodland Direct is the opposite of my local experience. I found the item I needed, placed an order and it was at my house on time and as promised. The brush is of superior quality and will obviously last me many years.
Would I recommend Woodland Direct to someone else? Absolutely! What I won't recommend is the local company who kept putting me off with vague promises. Thanks Woodland Direct for delivering as promised! "

I was ready to place this order online (11/10/11) so that I could use paypal. I then decided to call in and make sure all items were in stock as was indicated on the website. I spoke to Mark and he verified and assured me all items were in stock.The order was placed directly with him. The website states that in stock items ship in 2 - 3 business days.
On 11/11/11 I received an email from Jason stating that the PelletVent Pro BioFlex Pipe 4" x 30" was not in stock and would not be in stock for a "couple of months".
I called Jason and voiced my extreme displeasure. Jason checked with a warehouse and assured me that the pipe would be in on 11/14 or 11/15 and shipped. Jason said "trust me".
On 11/15 I contacted Jason about the status of Case # 63372. He checked with the warehouse and said the pipe would be in the warehouse on 11/17 after promising me it would be in on 11/14 or 11/15. I asked Jason to send me a 35' pipe since Woodlanddirect showed it in stock. He said that sounds reasonable.
Then Mark came on the line and asked what I wanted to do. I told him to ship me a 35' pipe. He said he would check with the warehouse to make sure they physically have it. He came back and stated that the warehouse stocks none of this pipe, that the manufacturer stocks it and has to be ordered.
Mark now states that I will have the pipe on 11/21. We will see.
11/15 -Update: Mark says no expedited shipping due to cost, will not receive on 11/21 after all.. He did offer a $50 coupon code on my next purchase. What next purchase?
11/16 - update: The bizarre meter is now in the red. Emily emailed and says the item will ship out on 11/18. Should get it in 5-7 days.
Ordering from Woodlanddirect has been a bizarre and very unpleasant experience. How can anyone have any confidence in a company such as this?
