"I've been using xoticpc for years. I recommend them to friends. When I see what looks like a better deal somewhere else and don't buy from them... I regret it. Literally. My last purchase is a replacement for a machine I bought from someone else because the deal was "too good to be true" and after using xoticpc before and recommending them... Its now pretty much the only company I trust to buy gaming laptops from. Gaming laptops are temperamental and prone to have problems. Anyone that has been a long time gaming laptop guy knows these things are often hit or miss. But from xoticpc, all hits no lemons thus far. I like having US tech support. I like the build quality. "So I ordered a laptop with UV print in the middle of July. The website stated the availability by the end of July at the time. Great! Around mid-August, I check the website's order tracking system and my order still shows at the first stage. So i email to ask about it. I finally got someone to respond after multiple inquiries, and was told " 2 more weeks". Early September, again, told "two more weeks" Late September Im told two weeks again. In early October, i got one of the reps on the phone, and she tells me I am 5th inline still and blames supply lines. Ok, cool. I get it. COVID threw a wrench into supply chains. So I request to cancel the order and get a full refund. Immediately, I get a different person telling that my order has been shipped to UV printing shop in California (Xotic is in Lincoln, Nebraska mind you) in the middle of SEPTEMBER, and while I can surely go ahead and cancel, they will retain the cost of UV print, 20% restocking fee?and will charge me for replacing the laptop panel since UV print is on the one i ordered cannot be removed. Sure, i dont want to lose all that money on $2.5k order, so I get bullied into keeping the order. Figured, its been at least three weeks since it got sent of to the shop, how much longer can it be for 2 week (per their website) project. MId-October, I followed up and told that the UV print shop mail the panel back to Xotic a week ago, and it surely will be done very soon. Reached out around the end of October and was told that the panel is still at the shop in California....seriously? So now we are on 2nd week of October. The panel did come in with bubbled and defective print. Props for Xotic on telling me that instead of just slapping it on and shipping it out. They offered to send it back and have the shop to re-do it at no additional charge to ME. At this point I'm thinking....oh now it is possible to remove UV printing? What leaps have the technology accomplished in two months! So I asked to cancel my order again since now the print is the printing shop's fault, and I don't see how i can be held responsible for that. Xotic still wants to charge me for faulty UV print, and charge a restocking fee for a stock laptop, and wait to issue the refund till after they get cleaned panel back from the UV print shop for some reason. Can't get ahold of the supervisor nor owner, and managementATxotic.com is a vast void from which nothing returns. I am extremely disappointed in this company and its level of service, and will never do business with them again"
