"At the present time I would never purchase from this seller again. I was sold a disk drive with a "1 year manufacturer" warranty. Drive was DOA and the manufacturer states the drive has NO warrantly. Either the seller was given bad disk drives by the distributer or is part of what appears to be a fraud.

Seller did not return emails. Seller's phone rings but nobody picks up. My next step is reversing the charges through my credit card company.

Caveat Emptor bigtime.

"First strike is they will not sand by there advertised shipping.

Second fouls is they do not seem to be able to read. Here is a snippet from my order "If the KVM cables are not as listed, specifically being high RF and that the keyboard and mouse connectors come out of the screw down video head (as shown in the picture) please remove them, or cancel the order." The picture in question is "http://store1.yimg.com/I/cooler-express_1808_8934903". The cable that was sent was a multi-sheath cable, the exact cable I did not want. The reason is these cables unplug when ever you move a PC, they are a nightmare to work with.

The third out is the modified case door I ordered was damaged. The parts that were ok was, an impulse buy, the Feper KR7710 MP3 player and a fire wire cable. That is 2 good parts to 5 bad parts. About a 28.5% accuracy, worse than the Iraqi Army. I will fill you in on how the RMA / refund proceeds. Maybe there actions will improve my rating. But from what I read on www.resellerratings.com I doubt it. If need be I will do a Charge Back.


UPDATE. Even though I CLEARLY stated that I want the door to be replaced with a good one and the correct cables or a full refund of the cable cost CoolerExpress felt that I only needed a partial refund on the door as well as the cables. I am getting a hold of my credit card tonight. I am also as filling a complaint for interstate fraud with the California Office of Attorney General's Public Inquiry Unit anyone with similar problems I strongly recommend doing the same. (billgatesisevil) I will also adding links to resellerratings.com and bizrate.com as further evidence that CoolerExpress has a history of fraudulent like activities. If you look at BizRate you will notice I have no review because it appears to be deleted and I don’t know why they never contacted me.

"Shipping charge was misstated. I requested UPS Ground and they sent USP and charged me for UPS Ground. Also, the PriceWatch shipping charge was $4.00 not the $8.77 that I was invoiced. I will not shop this company for my future purchases nor will I recommend them to my associates. "

"Ordered a usb/1394 hard drive, ...shipped 1394 very slowly and refused to exchange...in fact they were down right rude about it.
Also came in off of Pricewatch, supposed to be free freight, no indication of how to get that and instead of free charged $14 for something weighing about 16 oz's. I could ship a bowling ball for that.
Told me what I did wrong which makes no sense and refused to change.
This is a rude dishonorable merchant you should not buy from.

"Ordered External USB 2.0 Slim 2.5'' Hard Drive.
Price was good, shipping was good , but they process the order for almost 2 working days. A little bit slow. Even though they already said that in their website. I still expect them to process faster.

"Ordering went smoothly and product arrived on time. After receiving I found that the product was not compatible with Dell laptops (and I have a Dell). Since this was not a real expensive item, the lost shipping and 15% restocking fee amount to almost half the cost. I consider this a serious incompatibility that their tech support knew about but wasn't mentioned with the product capability. I felt this was their error and I shouldn't eat shipping costs (both ways) or a restocking fee. I won't do business with them again because of this."

"I bought a Maxtor USB2.0/Firewire/Combo 7200 rpm 3.5'' External HDD from Cooler Express.com, and it arrived to me just one day after I purchased it, very good!.

The disk was correctly identified as a new hardware for the Win2000 OS, and the "Mass Storage Device" driver was installed. From that moment I was able to see the connection via USB with the drive on the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" utility.
I have formatted the HDD without problems in Win2000 creating 3 partitions, and I used it without problems for a couple of days until I shut down the system. Since then, the Maxtor HDD does not even exist neither for the operative system and for the connection via USB.

In addition, the installation CD that came with the HDD does not work with win2000 as it says on the CD front, only works with win98... Finally, I never received my official bill for what I purchased.

I finally went to Cooler Express with the HDD and they changed the enclosure, so now the HDD works find and I did not loose any data.
