"I have ordered many products from ZZF over the years without a problem. Good selection, prices & delivery. However, when you have a problem, LOOK OUT !!! Here's why:
I ordered an ASUS netbook on 5/28 only because the website showed it "in stock". I placed my order, my credit card was charged, and the status was "processing". I paid for 2 business day shipping, but since the weekend was coming up, I didn't expect it to ship until Monday.
Over the weekend, the status turned to "packed". Now, I don't know about you, but to me "packed" means just that. Product packed in a box ready to ship. When it was still in the same state a day later I called, only to find out the product was really backordered. I was furious. I then checked the website, it still showed in stock, and even let me place another order (I didn't fully check out). I called back and asked that my credit card be refunded and recharged when they received new stock. I spoke with a manager who stated they couldn't do that without cancelling the order all together. They had my money but had not shipped the product, the status still showed as packed, and were still taking orders.
I wonder how many other people they "hooked" in this scheme? Just as I was about to cancel and order elsewhere, the rep said they couldn't cancel because it was being shipped. Yeah, sure. Well, they finally did ship 2 day delivery on 06/04, a Thursday. (for my trouble they should have at least done overnight). I got it on Monday the 8th.
I filed a complaint with the GoldenGate BBB as I feel they are very inflexible and don't really value their customers. Especially a long time one. Charging before an item actually ships is just plain WRONG!

Compared to other merchants that have had 10K+ reviews I'd say it is a testament to Zipzoomfly's persistence, presence and persuasion. "I ordered an ASUS netbook that was on sale for $149. After a week they charged my credit card but did not ship the item out. I called up and they were out of stock but they charged me and did not contact me. Eventually the I switched to getting a white instead of black netbook. They should not have charged my credit card until it shipped but they did anyway even when they did not have the stock to send. It is now two weeks late I should be getting it June 8th."

Recieved email dated 5/29/09 from zipzoomfly.com that product no longer avialable. 6/2/09 I inquire customer service as to solution and why was my credit card billed when product not available. Response was they could offer a lesser model at $10 less than my original order but no response as to why I was already billed full original amount. told them to cancel order entirely. As of 6/3/09 their website still shows original order in packaging and my credit card still billed original total amount Now I have to go through the credit card dispute proceedure for something that is entirely this unscrupulous dealers fault!!!!! BUYER BEWARE OF ZIPZOOMFLY!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I purchased an EVGA Classified motherboard from them for 400.00. It arrived defective. I contacted thier customer service and they suggested purchasing another one and said that they would refund the purchase from the defective one once they recieved it back.
So I went ahead and purchased the second one and I recieved it and it works fine no problems but heres the catch. They are now refusing to refund my money as they promised they would for the first motherboard I purchased that was defective.
This company effectively baited me into spending 800.00 total for a 400.00 item.
I highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

I purchased mine on May 9th, and it arrived on May 18th. Today (May 20th) I went online to claim the rebate, and the "rebate center" I was directed to has disappeared. In spite of the fact that I purchased the product prior to May 15th, I cannot claim the rebate. There is nothing anywhere about requiring a the rebate to be claimed prior to May 15th. I believe that I have been made the victim of at best a very dishonest and misleading advertisement, and at worst a scam. This is not the sort of behavior one expects from a reputable company. I would not do business with this company again, nor would I recommend that others do the same. "
