"I ordered a hard drive on 6/27/08, it was a SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD502IJ 500GB SATA II 7200 RPM 16MB Buffer Hard Drive. It was supposedly shipped out to my apartment on 6/30/08 and it was supposedly delivered and left at my front door on 07/07/08. My door specifically has a 8.5"x11" sign posted on the front in type 60 font size to " Please Take Packages to the Rental Office." The company claims to have left the package at the front door. I never received the item. I called zipzoomfly.com on 07/08/08 and they gave me a claim number, and asked me to be patient for 8-12weeks for the claim to be processed. I waited the period of time, and then called back, and they requested I wait another 8-12 weeks. I called back on 12/29/08 and they told me they had denied my claim. They told me the package was delivered. Being as I never received it, I don't see how it could have been delivered.

I have several packages a week delivered and this was the one and only time I have not received a package. Every other time I was at home to receive the package or it was taken to the rental office.

I have met my obligations to the company by purchasing the product and paying in full, they should have met their end of the deal. I have done business with zipzoomfly.com several times before and have not had a problem. However this is absolutely unacceptable that they have taken my money and not provided me a product. If they choose to use a poor carrier for their products then they are responsible if the carrier does not meet their obligations.

"I ordered a videocamera on 12/23 at noon and received it on Christmas Eve at 4. Amazing! You can't beat free shipping and no sales tax either! They were one of the cheapest merchants for this video camera as well. Wonderful company!"

"RIPOFF ALERT:
I placed an order for some RAM and after the checkout process I was suddenly bombarded with full screen advertising popup windows. I just wanted these popup windows to go away and I entered a fake email address in one of them.

After I got rid of the popup windows I did a more detailed investigation of what really happened here. It turned out that ZipZoomFly has sent my credit card information as well as all my personal details to a company called ShopperDiscountsAndRewards.com where I was now signed up to a subscription service and my credit card would now be charged $12 every month for being a member of this site. If I would not have tried to investigate where all these popup windows came from I would have never even known that this happened. Please note that I am a web developer since the early days of the internet. Also, pretty much everything I own was purchased on the internet, so I am certainly not some kind of newbie that is usually an easy victim to internet fraud.

I have now called ShopperDiscountsAndRewards.com and asked them to stop any credit card charges. You can also read more about ShopperDiscountsAndRewards.com and the damage they have done to other people here:

Since I do not do business with crooks or anybody supporting crooks I have also canceled my order with ZipZoomFly. ZipZoomFly has confirmed that they gave my personal infomation to ShopperDiscountsAndRewards and that this is one of their partner sites.

So if you decide to do business with ZipZoomFly or you have purchased anything from them recently you need to make sure you read ALL the fine print in the advertising popup windows or you will be automatically signed up to services that you have never wanted and you may never notice that. If you have done business with ZipZoomFly make sure to check your credit card statements for any unaccounted charges.

"Horrible store with the worse customer service I have ever seen. Item took over a week to ship and customer service was no help at all. By the time the item actually shipped, the price had dropped and they would not adjust my price. I got the standard "we are confident of our prices" BS that many other people got. Avoid this place at all costs and go to Newegg for your computer purchases.

Look at how defensive their customer service is when they reply to other complaints. All they do is defend their horrible practices instead of trying to actually help the customer.

"The camera arrived approximately one week after ordering it. The box was open (not sealed). The camera had fingerprints on it (like a display item in a store). It seems that everything that was supposed to arrive arrived. The camera works well."

"Terrible shipping time. EDITED TO RESPOND TO ZIP ZOOM. Pardon me? The thing didn't ship till the 11th. I have the email AND the tracking number to prove it. The reason you didn't have an order history for THAT account is because i had to make a new one because I couldn't get my password for the one I have had in the past. i called you guys three times to get my account info and was told something was wrong on MY end each time and that you couldn't give me that info over the phone. Now, here is the real kicker. You guys CALLED ME MONDAY (the 8th) to ask if I still needed my account info and said your IT techs had reported a problem. So much for a problem on my end. I told you THEN that i had made a separate account to order with. So, I was available that day. . . you talked to me. i work out of my house. i didn't go anywhere Monday. Tuesday (the 9th) I got an email (or perhaps it was a recorded message I don't recall exactly)saying I needed to verify my order. i called. Was told all persons were busy. Was given a phone number and an extension to call. Called it. Got an answering machine. Left a not so nice message and confirmed my order on the message saying i expected my stuff to ship that day. Waited a few hours. Called again and finally spoke to a lady. She said they had gotten my message and that the order would ship the next day (the 10th). The next day my order never switched from processing to packed until the end of the day. It did not ship till the 11th. I would appreciate next time if you at least got your facts straight before responding about a complaint. The shipping service was NOT satisfactory. Newegg shipped their stuff on Monday (I ordered Sunday same day as with you guys). FrozenCPU packed AND SHIPPED their stuff on Monday and I ordered from them on Monday. . . LATE I might add. "

"DO NOT BUY FROM! They STOLE $1800+ from me. Shipped an item and waived signature required without asking. Item was lost and they say fedex denied claim because no mishandle happened. I called Fedex and they said shipper waived the right to require signature so that means if I didnt get it they dont have to approve claim if it was marked as being delivered. Even if it was stolen or left at the wrong house. Now merchant tells me oh well sorry, this how we do business.

DONT USE THEM, you will LOSE YOUR MONEY AND GET NOTHING! They do not do anything to protect the customer.

Fedex said if they had required signature and this happened they would have appoved claim. So in the end I LOSE MONEY and the merchant does nothing and dont care!

Dont take the risk with them!

"Two days ago I went to make another order from ZipZoomFly (ZZF). I needed to update my billing and shipping address but was unable to. I wasn't permitted to because my email address was "invalid" according to their form. My email address is of the form ****@**** which is entirely valid. Check the RFCs. Here's a helpful suggestion ZZF, I have been writing email software since 1995 and neither is there a "length limit" nor is there any other thing invalid about my email address.

Mind you, I've had an account at ZZF for a few years now and their system has used my email address for quite a while. I get every single one of their emails just fine.

There are exactly 34 characters from beginning to end in my email address. That is not a long email address. Just to be clear, that is the answer given to me when they called me back to explain why my email address was invalid.

I recommend shopping with another vendor that cares about their customers and doesn't impose silly notions about personal information conformity.

"Not a very good company to do business with. I placed my order and it was stolen from the front door of my house and they are unwilling to re-send the item because they are depending on the approval of their claim from FedEx. I was forced to file a complain with my local police dept and my credit card company and so I will not be doing business with them agaon."

"Ordered router that was to ship in one day waited a week, called and was told out of stock not coming in for another week, their website still displayed "Ships in one day"! after 2 weeks shipped still waiting for router, hopefully will get in time to send out rebate that needs to be postmarked within 30 days of Purchase! Should have bought from Newegg i would have had within 3 days!"
