You would know in advance what items would be going down in price and yet you choose to charge the higher price anyway! How can you not tell me if I ordered a memory kit one day ,you ship it out the next day, then you lower the price that same day. Besides Newegg is always CHEAPER than you and they pack it way better than just stuffing paper loosely in a box"

"Very dissapointed i customer service. I have ordered thousands of dollars in orderes from zipzoomfly. Shipping is usually within a day or two and prices are good. However just as all others have complained customer service is terrible!
Less than 1 month after ordering 250gb mobile Samsun SATA hard drive zipzoomfly customer service informs me they only rma the drive for 15 days!!!!!!!
No one else is less than 30 days for defective items.
I was told I had to contact Samsung for a drive less than 1 month old. Samsung saya rma is up to the vender
Poorest coverage in the industry.

"Re: ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 Channel PCI-E Sound Card Retail
I purchased the ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 Channel PCI-E Sound Card for $173.44 on October 11, 2008. Upon receipt of delivery and subsequent inspection of the packing slip (invoice), I realized that I ordered the wrong product. My motherboard does not possess a PCI-E x1 slot (short slot). As I never opened the package, I requested an RMA number shortly thereafter. After one half dozen attempts to obtain an RMA number, I finally received an email response.
On November 10, 2008, I received a PayPal notification indicating that I had been refunded $140.28. What happened to the $33.16? I can only assume that the difference of $33.16 is some form of a “restocking” fee. As stated earlier, the package was never opened and I expressed as such during the numerous automated RMA requests submitted to said retailer. Apparently, all were ignored…
It is clear why my initial attempts to obtain an RMA were unreasonably difficult. As well, it is clear why the customer is levied such superfluous and unnecessary penalties. Nonetheless, it is unfortunate that clowns of this sort resort to such schemes in pursuit of a profit. To the contrary, I would understand if the product had been opened and or exceed a 30-day return policy. However, no such contravention occurred.

11/11/08: Spoke to ZipZoomFly customer service and got nowhere. Perusing through these comments it is clear that ZipZoomFly summarily assess varying restocking fees. Sometimes 15%, other times, 20%. In the present case, ZipZoomFly was kind enough to assess me a 19.12% penalty. ZipZoomFly attempts to justify the outlandish return penalties by claiming the complexities associated with processing a return of a new and unopened product. In the present case, a soundcard. ZipZoomFly is hardly being truthful in that the costs associated to “restock” a soundcard is $33.16. As well, their argument that “our return policy is stated on our website” proves little given the fact that I was levied 19.12%. Further, ZipZoomFly fails to state that if the consumer pays through PayPal, said charges will be deducted as well. As a consequence, the reason why my restocking fee when from 15% to 19.12%. To end this ridiculous experience, it cost me $43.16 (return shipping) to learn that I should have stayed with Newegg.

11/21/08 The issue at hand is the $33.20 restocking fee plus the additional $10+ I paid to ship the soundcard back to the reseller. Thus, if you want to talk actual out-of-pocket expense, I paid a 26% penalty! Let us be mindful that the soundcard was never removed from the box nor the shipping material enclosed therein. Regardless of how the reseller wishes to spin the amount, the fact remains that it took me multiple RMA requests both online and email to receive a response only days later. In addition to the brazen comment from the reseller that it was my fault I received the wrong card coupled with the excessive and unreasonable “restocking fees”, illustrate the amateurish behavior exhibited by ZipZoomFly. Thus, for the merchant to express his or her apologies is nothing short of contemptuous. As well, the merchant never once stated or implied otherwise an alternative arrangement such as a different soundcard and or a token of good faith i.e., $10 or $20 account credit as occasionally offered by Newegg. Any reasonable person wishing to maintain customer loyalty would suggest an alternate or compatible soundcard. Unfortunately, ZipZoomFly’s employees are discouraged from making reasonable accommodations to its customers.
I am only adding this response because this scenario although laughable, is a prima facie case of how not to treat customers. ZipZoomFly’s inflexible and hard-lined approach over a seemingly inconsequential amount resulted in a lost customer and negative attention.

"This company used to be amazing to deal with. I have ordered a lot of gear from them. This year however they have gone down hill. Most recently the shipped my memory without requiring a signature. Package claimed delivered by fed ex (left at door, in their notes without sig) and it is somehow my fault, and they won't have a resolution for 4-6 weeks, at which time they will reship or refund.

Previous order they shipped me the wrong video card because their website said one thing but invoiced another (we're talking one character difference on model number) and wanted to charge me a restocking fee.

They give fast shipments, and have good prices, but if you have to deal with customer service you are screwed. I'm shopping NewEgg from now on.

It has now been over 6 weeks, and I have heard nothing from them or their "investigation. I'm still waiting for my refund, and if that doesn't happen soon I'll have to take it up with my bank.

Again, they have some of the WORST customer service in the industry, so I don't expect this company to be around for much longer. You'll notice on this site they only take active part in complaints when they can insult or discredit a reviewer, but anyone that has a solid case against them they ignore.

"I've been using ZZF since they were G**glegear and have never encountered a problem. When another company completely failed me on every level (support and all) ZZF had the items I needed and shipped them out the next day.
