"Ordered an Asus Eee 1000H and a 2GB stick of memory. Noted the warnings that processing could take a couple of days. Upgraded to two-day shipping from free shipping. I even called my credit card company to add my work address as a valid shipping address.
Order sat in "Processing" status for day and a half. I then called Zipzoomfly to inquire why the order was still in the same status. I was told that it needed additional validation due to it being a laptop and a different shipping address. The rep also said that they had called my billing phone number and left a message. There was no message on my answering machine, nor was there a record of the call in caller ID.
No exception notice, no e-mail, no communication from Zipzoomfly that the order needed verification. That, and the customer service reps were very indifferent and kept repeating the same things over and over.
I can understand needing additional information on certain orders, but the lack of communication is a problem. "

"I purchased 2 packages of ram at zipzoomfly. Upon receiving the ram i noticed one package seemed to be opened and taped back together and the cardboard insert was in the wrong way making it obvious that it had been opened. I sent several e-mails to customer service to inquire about this and included pictures of the taped package and the reversed insert. This was my first purchase on a new system build so I had no way to test the sticks at that time. They told me that it was their new way of packaging ram and that the insert must have been reversed at the factory. I asked the woman on the phone at that time what happens if I discover this ram to be bad and she informed me that they would send me out new sticks. So I kept it under that assurance only to find later that it was indeed bad and more than likely from the looks of the packaging a return from another customer. So, I sent them another e-mail noting that it was bad and included the previous correspondence with that e-mail only to be informed that I'de have to take it up with the manufacturer. I feel that I was sold returned ram as new and will never make another purchase from Zip Zoom Fly again. "
"I ordered a Seagate Notebook Hard Drive and am waiting for delivery. The ordering was easy; the price was great; the email notifications quick. It also said to check out ResellerRatings so here I am - only to find out there is a restocking fee for a damaged unit! Next time, I will read the help section before I order from anywhere new. That's absurd - I have to pay a fee to return a unit that doesn't work? Never again; I'm going back to Newegg. Poor, poor policy.
I received a call from ZipZoomFly after the above; I was informed that there is a restocking fee only if a defective unit is returned for a refund; there is no charge for a replacement. I have no problem with that policy. However, FedEx Ground is extremely slow (not Zip's fault as it was out the door the day after ordering). UPS Ground is much faster (I use them at my day job).

Updated 9/18 - received the hard drive and it works, but it was poorly packed. It was in a foam box with airpacks around it, but it was LOOSE in the foam box, able to be tossed and banged around. Not the way to ship electronics."

If you need to speak to them on the phone plan on a long distance phone call.
My 2 day express shipment with "processing time" took 6 days.
