"This is the 2nd time I have ordered from zipzoomfly and been completely dissapointed, I will not be using them again.

My first time I ordered a motherboard they did not have in stock, and ended up having to order it elsewhere 7 days later after calling to to ask why it had not shipped.

This time I ordered 2 processors from them, with 2 day shipping on April 25th. I called a full week later to see why it had not shipped, and they promised me they would overnight it that day. Well they did ship it that day after I called, except they sent it 2 day, so their customer service couldn't even fulfill something they offered to me.

As a person who has ordered over 30K worth of computer parts in the last year, I can tell you that zipzoomfly will not be receiving another purchase from me."

"Worse experience with an online store ever, Horrible customer service they take forever to answer your emails, extremely slow (took them 11 days to deliver a package in the same state their located). And to close out the deal the Morons over at fedex decided to steal my package the day it was due (I took the day off waiting for these homers and never show up). So here we are with a missing package (or stolen most likely) zipzoomfly doesn't care after all it was fedex who pull a homer and I'm down 300 dollars. If you want good customer service and fast delivery go with newegg, they might not offer free shipping but at least you will get your items."

My experience with ZipZoomFly went pretty well. I ordered 2x1GB Kingston ValueRAM sticks (at $55 each) and a Sapphire Radeon x1950 video card. The video card had a $55 instant rebate, making the card very worthwhile.

I purchased Thursday early afternoon EST, which should have provided enough time for them to process the order. I didn't get any response until later that night and requested that if the order wouldn't be available to ship, then to change the shipping to 2 day instead of overnight. Overnight and receiving it on Monday is not worth the charge; 2 day for $20 less and receiving it on Tuesday is much better.

I finally received a response and they said I had to cancel and re-order if I wanted to change the shipping. I went ahead and did that and my order was quickly put into the system. By mid-day the next day, I was told the item was shipped. It took until later Friday evening but I finally received a FedEx tracking number and received all items, unopened and new, on Tuesday as planned.

Overall, the experience was pretty good.

Pros: Invoiced price was the same as checkout price (no "extras"). Relatively quick processing. Good price.

Cons: No way to change order. You have to go to website and click cancel then re-order to make any changes whatsoever. No expedited processing if overnight is chosen (thus making 2 day shipping a better option).


I'd probably purchase from them again. I remember buying something from them back when they were Googlegear. They were a bit slow on getting the items out to me but didn't have any problems with the items overall. I do get the feeling that depending on what you order, you could face some troubles so I'm not rating them as high as I could."
