"I made a purchase that arrived DOA. I could find no phone number on their website to contact them, so I had to email them. My emails were not answered, so I applied for a RMA on their website, which I got a couple days later. Then, unlike every company I have ever dealt with, they expect you pay to mail it back to them and pay a restocking fee!!! Then they didn't credit me for it. I finally had to initiate a chargeback with my credit card, but I just heard today (May 23rd) that they are claiming they never received it!! My Discover card won't charge them back because just the city and the zip code was written on the USPS Delivery confirmation receipt by the post office, and they require the complete address!!!! ZipZoomFly has stolen my money, and Discover Card is letting them!!!! ZipZoomFly is nothing more than a major ripoff. Please, please, please not matter how good their prices look, avoid them like the plague!"
"I placed an order on Monday and I got an e-mail on Wednesday stating that my shipping address wasn't listed with my CC company and that they "tried to reach me by phone" when they clearly made no attempt to reach me by phone. On top of that I am pretty sure that the shipping address I used is listed with my CC company. I use that shipping address all the time and I think called them and listed it a couple of years ago.
I thought I would give them a try over that other popular online computer parts seller but it would have to be a heck of a lot more than a $2-$5 savings for me to bother trying them again. Nothing devastating but a bad first impression overall.
I have no problem with them taking measures for security but promptness to try and resolve it would have been nice. Also, if you're going to send an e-mail stating that you attempted to contact me by phone, you probably should make sure you really tried to contact me by phone. "
"I ordered an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU, an Intel BLKD975XBX2KR 975X motherboard, and Corsair TWIN2X2048-5400C4 2GB DDR2-675 XMS2-5400 Xtreme Performance Memory on 5/19/2007(a Saturday). The order was not approved until 5/22/2007(a Tuesday), and as of 5/23/2007, my order was still showing "Packed". It took 6 calls to their customer service number before I got anyone to answer, and finally on 5/23/2007 at 12:50pm local time, I got an answer that said my order went out this morning and probably wouldn't arrive until 5/29/2007 because of the holiday. This is completely unacceptable. The order should have been approved Monday morning and shipped out Monday afternoon for a Friday delivery. I will NOT be shopping here again. I'll pay higher prices at another site to guarantee I'll get my order in a timely manner.
Update May 24, 2007:
I finally got a Fedex tracking # for my order. FedEx shows it was picked up at 2:48pm, which contradicts what I was told on the phone. Delivery date is estimated to be May 30, 2007."

"I ordered on the 14th and received an email the same day with tracking. Seven days later and the tracking showed that the item still hadn't been picked up so I emailed, then called, and called again trying to find out what happened to my order. Their phone system basically puts you on hold for several minutes and then throws you into voice mail. The only trick I found was to hit '0' to get an operator. She told me that the item was backordered but I couldn't cancel because it had already officially 'shipped'. There are much better stores (Egg) that don't screw with their customers."

"The above number is the Order Number, not an invoice number. My opinion of ZipZoomFly.com has greatly changed since my order was placed on May 18th.
The company sent two emails stating that my order has been shipped by FedEx Ground. After waiting nine days and no receipt of my order, I telephoned FedEx. I was told by the FedEx representative that the shipment was "logged", but FedEx has not received the package.
My interpretation of the above "logged" detail is: it is to mislead customers should the shipment be delayed for a reason. In my case, after three emails to ZipZoomFly.com and three days later, I received an email from that company stating that the ordered speakers were on backorder.
After speaking to the FedEx representative, I searched ZipZoomFly.com's website for a telephone number of the company. There was not one! Plus, it took me very long to find an email address to the customer service department.
I am no longer impressed with ZipZoomFly.com. There is no "Zip", no "Zoom", but maybe a few flies!
