"Update: 7/16/2010 my complaints were heard by the right folks, got a phone call that my shipping was being upgraded to overnight..
Now to be fair to the Central Digital(CD) folks I did start this transaction with very low expectation of quick "free" shipping they said it would be 5 to 10 days. The sales guy raised my expectations by telling me that it would be shipping on Sunday or Monday, I placed the order on Sat night.
Being that Central Digital was $200 cheaper then the next guy I would purchase from them again.

Great Prices, but VERY slow shipping. I realize that free shipping is sometimes slow shipping so I paid $5 during checkout. I ordered late Saturday night a sales guy called me on Sunday to confirm my shipping address and to try to sell me an extra battery, which I declined after he could not give me mAh rating of the battery. It is now Tue night and despite several emails asking for an update that I sent to customer service, I have not heard back. My order status says "sent to warehouse". The sales guy I talked to on Sun seemed to think it would ship on Mon. I guess you get what you pay for. "

"I ordered a Zoom Normal-Telephoto 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Autofocus Lens from Central Digital on 5 July and received it on 9 July. It's the first time I ever ordered a product from Central Digital and am always a bit apprehensive about ordering a product from a merchant previously unknown to me online, but I can confidently say I'm well-pleased with their service.
The lens was well-packaged in the original Nikkor (Nikon) box. Nothing damaged in transit.
5***** rating for the fast, accurate order processing and shipping of the product.
Once received and unpacked, I easily attached this lens to my D50 camera body and, since this is a DX G-type Nikkor lens, it worked great with my camera CPU in auto mode. As I write this review I've already taken a number of shots at various zoom levels from the low 55mm to the high 200mm and the pics are fantastic! Overall, I couldn't be happier with the product's quality AND low retail cost of an OEM Nikkor (Nikon) 55-200mm DX lens.

"Dishonest! Be careful. I ordered an Onkyo surround sound system from Central Digital based on a pretty good online price. Later that day I found out I needed to contact them for “verification” (a huge red flag). I called and, sure enough, they told me the system they were selling didn’t include a factory warranty, but they’d be willing to sell me one for $40. I told them I wanted to cancel and purchase (online) somewhere else instead. The guy on the phone went on and on about how “no one online was an authorized dealer,” and “none of them offered warranties, and if they said they did they were lying.” He said I would need to pay full price from Onkyo to get the warranty and told me to check Onkyo’s website for proof (obviously thinking I wouldn’t bother).
Well... I did check Onkyo's website and easily discovered their "authorized internet dealer" page listing two dozen well-known, low-priced online stores. There was also a warning about unauthorized dealers (like Central Digital) and cautioning against buying from them.
The guy just flat out lied to me. Avoid them at all costs. There are much better companies out there (I ended up ordering online from someone else, got the factory warranty, AND saved about $30)."
