"While searching on the internet, I came across multiple sites who had the item I was looking for quite cheap. I called a couple of them to find out that they were "gray" market goods. I found Central Digital.com had the item and a US model. However, a "Gray" market camera was shipped instead as they deal in both "types" of goods. The sales rep immediately recognized the problem and took immediate action. They couldn't get the correct model in time for my upcoming shoot and they were quite pleasant and easy to work with on the return and even refunded 50% of the shipping costs. I feel I was dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. The refund to my cc was also much faster than promised. I know that I can buy from them with confidence knowing that they will stand behind their advertised product."

"I ordered a Sony Cybershot DSC-W370 on May 8. UPS delivers to my location in the afternoon while I'm at work. I usually call to pick up packages when I receive a tag from UPS saying they missed me. This time, Central Digital stipulated that I am not allowed to pick it up from UPS. I emailed them about the problem and they told me to call. I called at 4:30 Eastern on a Wednesday and got a voice recording saying they are closed but are open until 5 on weekdays. I emailed again to complain, and got an auto-reply email saying they will be closed until Friday. By then my package will be returned to them for failure to deliver. THANKS CENTRAL DIGITAL!"

"Beware of the fast talking salesman who calls to "confirm" your order, I was talked into a filter set to go with a lens ordered, the price seemed reasonable for a high quality filter set, I agreed. When the filters arrived they were a low end set way overly priced.

When I called to return them for credit I was told they couldn't be returned as it was made into a "package" I said fine, I'll return the whole order. Sure for a 15% restocking charge I was told.

This was free shipping includded but an additional $50 was added on for handling and insurance which further added insult to injury.

I was able to get minimal concessions, but after all still paid too much for what I got due to the package deal.

Future business will go thru Amazon, or B&H photo. Less hassles, and everything is up front with them.

"We had a really nice experience with this company. Found a great deal on a camera and it even included a bag and cleaning supplies. Upon ordering, I realized I would need it sooner so I had to call them. They were nothing but helpful and shipped the package out right away! I was prompted to buy a few more items but they were not pushy or rude at all. The package arrived safely and our items are top-notch. We are very satisfied! "

"I was pleased with the purchase of the camera.
The things that I was not pleased with are as follows:
1. Very displeased with the hours of the customer service department, no hours set to accommodate purchasers on the western side of the US (7:00 - 3:30 EST) so if there had been issues with the purchase I would not have been able to contact customer support within the 2 day limit set to get resolution of a damage device.
2. I purchased a "High Speed" SDHC card at the advice of the sales rep. When I received the package the SD card is a standard SD card, the same speed as the one that I told the rep that I already had for the device. I researched on-line to verify that the card was not high speed.
3. The UPS driver (not the companies fault) threw the package on the steps at my house when he delivered the package. I was standing there, he could have very well handed it to me & not risked damage to the item purchased.
With the support desk hours I was not able to lodge the complaint about the SD card to get resolution, hopefully this with spark some sort of resolution with no further cost to me.
If the SD Card issue is resolved & I have no further issue with the camera that I would need to contact Customer Service for, I am excited to use this camera for many years to come.
Other that these 3 issues (2 with Central Digital, 1 with UPS) I was pleased with the purchase.

"I've never heard of Central Digital but they had the best prices and pretty good reviews. I crossed my fingers as my order was arriving, but needless to say I'm satisfied with the item.

Just a couple things: The shipping took a little longer than competitors usually do for free (Not sure why UPS waited so many days with the item, not transferring it anywhere). Also, I'm not sure about how to deal with warranties, but I'm hoping I don't have to.

"I ordered a camera lens from Central Digital. When I did this I made a mistake and ordered it for the wrong camera brand. When I contacted them they were very courteous and resolved the problem almost instantly. I received the lens promptly and have been enjoying it this week during a couple of photo shoots. I would highly recommend Central Digital for any equipment purchase. Thay are the best!"
