"Overall, a very good experience.
Trying to find and trust an online merchant for a $3000 purchase is sometimes nerve racking for me, especially with so many frauds and crooks out there.
After almost being scammed by one company, I decided that I would research the online merchants a little better than I had.
After researching, I chose ibuydigital.com.
They had the best reviews with the lowest price for the sony pd170 I was purchasing.
I spoke to a sales rep, who suprisingly, didn't pressure me to buy any overpriced accessories. I did however purchase insurance on the delivery.
After placing the order over the phone I awaited nervously for a confirmation email with my tracking number. An email that never came.
I called Customer service twice.
First I called to see why I had not received my confirmation email, and if I could get my tracking number. After a holding for a short amount of time a rep told me that my package would be shipped that day. The rep was fairly short, but not rude.
After another day went by without any confirmation email or tracking number, i called back, and the cust support informed me that the package did infact ship, and then they gave me the tracking number over the phone.
Fedex held up their end of the deal and got it to me a day early.
I did place the order on a Monday, and it didn't get shipped until Wednesday, so they did take their time getting it out.
Overall, I would trust these guys again.

"Awesome dealing. Product arrived 6 days after ordering. Was shipped 4th day. Fedex delivered a day earlier. I will buy again from this vendor.

Just as an area of improvement : Their website never provided a status update. Had to call and find out. But the whole deal was an absolute charm.

"I purchased a Sony PC109 MiniDV camcorder thru their online website. At first I expected that there will be confirmation phone call from them, which I did received their call the next day. They left me a voicemail while I was out and instructed me to call back for the order confirmation. I expected that they will ask for some kind of additional accessories purchase. However, I was surprised that they didn't give any pressure over the phone but informed me that the camera has been shipped and tracking number was given as well. I was very happy and waited only two days for my camera arrived to the door.
The whole transaction was smooth and easy. Their price is definitely one of the lowest I could find on the Internet. I will definitely buy from them again.

"

Linda in sales at ex 561 and Joyce in customer service both lied about
the status of my order. They said it would be shipped next day air.
They both promised. They even said it would be here thursday. When
Fed Ex said it was not shipped next day air, I called back Joyce, she
said Fed Ex was wrong. Fed Ex denies this.

This is my 3rd Panasonic DVX 100.

Last year I bought $40,000 in equipment from B&H for 3 different Kauai production companies. I Iiked your prices and high reseller rating
I lost a client today because the camera was not here.


I have not received an apology, explanation, or offer to refund the
shipping charges.


Therefore, I am running your name into the ground, hoping that you
don't do business on my island or in my state. I will continue to post
negative reviews of your company on websites, in trade magazines and at
NAB this year.

"i bought from this company bacause of it's high rating at this site and good prices they offered.

I bought Olympus C-5060 from this company. With it they sold me an extra battery at a great price and extra memory, which did not appear to be what I needed. However, they took the memory back and fully refunded my money within the time they promised. Also, the packages I received from them were in great shape, delivered before the scheduled day and everything was brand new and with all warranties.

Highly recommend.

"Bought Nikon digital camera and accessories totaling $1297.88 which included $24.90 for 2nd day delivery. Product was defective and customer service was incredibly poor. Spoke with Linda of sales (ext 661) who was pleasant during sales portion of transaction but insulting when notified of defective product. Transferred to "supervisor" Peter who made situation worse, rather than better. I would discourage using this company, not because of the defective product but because of the the ingenuous manner of Peter the "supervisor". Defective products, at times, cannot be avoided but a satisfied customer can always be achieved. Unfortunately, the person representing this company is not skilled in this aspect of business. "

"Amazing Price and Amazing Processing, Purchased a Sony HC40 Camcorder. Did not have to interact with anyone. Shipped within 26 hrs Promied within 48 hours, Arrived in 5 days of ordering. Ofcourse were not the cheapest but the only one with a great rating and lowest in its band.
I have had bad experience of ordering up on the web and after order completion the website asks to call some toll free # within 24 hrs of ordering to confirm else the order is cancelled. The call made to the number, the cust service rep tries to sell expensive add-ons accesories, on declining, they don't promise anything and later receive a mail that product is in backorder for 5-8 weeks.
Ever since this incident I was not sure about this experience.
Will surely shop with this store again and recommend to friends.

"Rating A+ I decided to purchase my Canon Powershot A80 from I Buy Digital.com due to their positive rating on this site and through epinions.com. I had found my camera $50 less @ other sites, then read horrible reviews. Would rather pay more for a reputable company & receive my camera on time before vacation. I placed my order via phone, & was told the product was in stock. I asked for the 5 yr extended warranty & was given the 3 yr price ($20 less). Upon completion of my information, very politely Linda asked if I needed any of the extras. I advised her I already had them. End of discussion. It was a pleasure to do business with this company & will recommend them to all of my friends. My camera arrived via FedEx 2nd day air as promised. It contains all of the ORIGINAL MANU items ex. books, pieces (batteries, memory card, wrist strap) etc. With the USA warranty also. Not a gray market product. I have begun experimenting w/ my camera & love it !!! I am very satisfied w/ the retailer and my pruchase !"

"I purchased a Sony PC330 Camcorder on 3/9. Was offered several brand name accessories at a slightly lesser price than advertised on the Sony website. Did not feel I was being pressured into buying. Was told it would arrive by Friday. Was delighted to receive it the next day instead (in 1 day instead of the promised 3. Everything was as ordered. Checked with Sony because I did not get a warranty card in the box but they confirmed that it was due to the fact that I BUY DIGITAL is a wholesaler and that I did not have to worry, my camcorder was under Sony US warranty. Will shop there again and recommend them highly."

"I saved 33% on a camcorder compared to the high-street prices. The goods were genuine USA-Warranty with all the accessories you would expect (none had been "removed", then offered as extras at a price).
The saleperson tried to sell me an extended battery and a SD card. I had already scoped out the best prices for these and told him he could never match the prices I'd seen. Well..... he did, so I got the extras too!

Great store, great prices. I'll be going there again!!

"Ordered a digital camera, had to call to confirm the order. The guy said it would ship that day. Found this out after waiting an hour on hold with the service department. It didn't ship so I called agian. They told me it might ship in a few days. Another week went by and I called to check status. They said the product was still not in stock, but I could upgrade to a more expensive model that was in stock. So I cancelled the order and told them to credit my card (they charge your card before they ship). I ordered the camera from another vendor and got it the next day. Then I got an email from these guys telling me my order had shipped overnight. I called them and they couldn't explain why it shipped after I cancelled the order, or how it even shipped when it supposedly wasn't in stock. These guys are frauds. They jerk you around trying to get more money out of you, and when you finally cancel the order they ship it right out to you hoping you will just accept it after being lied to for weeks. Now I have the burden of getting this second camera shipped back to them and wait for them to credit my card, which will probably be another nightmare. I will never do business with them again. "

"After checking many, many sites and reviews, I decided to go ahead and try an order with ibuydigital.com. I used their telephone number from the site, because I wanted to talk to a real person, and also avoid the call-back waste of delivery time. To my surprise, I was treated very professionally and with little-to-no sales pressure. After I defined what I was interested in, I was asked whether I needed any additional tapes. I simply replied no and that was that. I even had to bring up the Mack warranty twice during our conversation. The shipment arrived on time and in good condition.

I did notice that the UPC bar code had been torn off of my box. That made me a little suspicious. I sent an email requesting an explanation... nothing more, nothing less. Of course, never heard from them.

I was able to register my purchase on Sony's website with no problems. So other then my slight uneasy feeling, the entire process went very well. Had I heard back regarding the bar code label taken off, I would have certainly ordered from them again. As I have had no response, I don't know now.

"I order a digital camcorder (Sony TRV 950) on 1/15/03 over the internet and on 1/16/03 a sells rep called to confirm. Although he did do the usual sells pitch for accessories, he was not all that pushy but he did offer a reduced price on somethings even the warranty if I purchased right now with him. I recieved an email on on 1/20/03 and I received my order on 1/21/03. That was faster than I though, just under a week for a 5 - 7 day ground through fedex. Way to go IBuyDigital.com."

"Ordered a Sony TRV38 Mini DV Video camera on Sunday 12/7/03. They told me that shipping would be 48-72 hours after order.

Called at noon on 12/8/03 to make shure they had my order since I had not received a confirmation E-mail. I waited on hold for 10 minutes on their toll free number and was informed that my order had already shipped and was given a tracking number.

My camera arrived on 12/10/03 in packed perfectly and brand new in the box.

The camera was $648. Total with standard ground shipping $672.90.
Local retailer price (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) was Price $899 plus 9% tax = $979.91.

You just can beat this deal!

I would order from this retailer again without hesitation.
