"Company has excellent selection of computer parts. A few parts I did want to order were out-of-stock. Website is extremely fast and easy to use. Would like to see a better "build-your-own-PC" page that would list all parts where you could specify certain parts you want to look at and have a drop down list of those parts. Also have error checking so if you put a part that is not compatible, it would either not show the part or error stating the part is not compatible."

Ordered Vista OS and WD Hard drive which both came with free shipping pretty much got my business. Directron is a great place to buy OS and HD, plus it a great place to save money (taxes). Shipping takes 5 days; ordered on Sunday received on Friday. I would consider the shipping speed FAST.

"I liked how they sent me a few emails to let me know about the order. One with the confirmation of the oder, another the next day when it was shipped out and another with the UPS tracking number which was on time! Each email also had contact info on where to reach them if any questions arise.."
"Purchased laptop RAM, but was not recognized correctly by the computer. It only recognized 480MB of 1 GB of RAM. We ran a memory test program which showed the RAM as being PC2700, instead of the PC2100 we ordered. Tech support said the problem was an incompatibility with this generic RAM, and said I could RMA the memory, but I was out of luck as far as getting credit for the $20 2nd day shipping. This does not seem a satisfactory solution since I probably wouldn't have this problem if they'd sent the correct speed RAM, generic or not.
I'll RMA it, but I'll buy the replacement memory somewhere else."

"I purchased a WINDOWS Vista Ultimate DVD on June 30th.
When I opened the box the DVD had rubbed against the manual because some moron at Microsoft put the disk in facing up.
It won't install because it is scratched and it gets a read error.
I called back to report it and they connected me to some body in the returns dept that said they would have Microsoft send me a new DVD.
Its been a month and I called back to find out what happened and it turns out they were just giving me lip service and there is no record of it.
Now I get the 7 day return policy BS from customer support.
I will never buy another thing from these people.
You suck!! Not only that but after I wrote this review they tried calling me about it. I called the return phone number and got voice mail. (no surprise there). Then they told reseller ratings that I never bought anything from them and I had to send a print screen of my credit card statement to validate my review. Think I wouldent? I orderd the replacement disk myself from Microsoft and it cost me 30$. If you have problems they will be ugly! Buyer Beware.. "
"At first I was a little skeptic about buying from them. I've only come across them using google products search, and with my first two run in with the google products system, I've been burned twice using that.
I was looking for a good power supply for my computer, and they had the best price, and the best shipping, so I decided to go with them. Now I'm glad that I did use directron to purchase this. Mainly because they were very quick to respond when my card wouldn't go through, due to an address problem, and told me how to resolve the issue. I really like that, most just send you an email, and nothing else. Due to this, directron will now be another one of the e-stores I shop at. Highly satisfied with service!
