"I purchased a nice set of Delta Chrome Roman Tub Faucets with hand held shower. I also purchased the valve. I knew I would be working with existing drilled holes in the tub approximately 7 3/4 inches apart between the hot and cold on/off handles. I was concerned because the drawing showed a distance of 8" to 16". The woman I talked to in chat said that the valve does not really depend on any minimum distance and that my existing dimension would be fine. When I did the installation exactly according to the drawing I realized that the faucet could not turn on completely because both handles were hitting the center spout assembly before the handles could open fully. I then tried to fix this by taking apart the installed assembly handle assemblies and rotating them 45 degrees and reassembling. Since all the connections were already soldered together the connections had to be heated and separated with the handle assemblies rotated after separation. Using this configuration both levers rotated away from the spout without hitting it. So I put it all back together, re-soldered everything. When I turned on the water one of the two lever mechanisms was leaking badly. I guess the two installations damaged something. So I ordered another valve from Efaucet. (At least it was on sale)"
