"This is my 2nd order from Etronics. I haven;t had a problem with ordering (vey easy) or shipping (very fast- NY-GA-2days). Their cushioning of the box COULD be a little better. Shipment arrived in very good condition, though. They seem to have their act together, and they have better than average prices. I'll continue to look them up when I have the need. Very good company IMHO."

"Etronics.com was one of only two businesses I could find that carried the DVD player I wanted, and their price was about $30 cheaper than their competition. I was very pleased they still sold this model, and at such a good price (it was $50 below the MSRP).
The ordering process went fine, but their site had no information about the color of the player, which was very important to me. I asked them to contact me in my order comments and in a separate email about the color. They responded about 40 hours later saying they didn't have that information and I should contact the manufacturer. This made little sense since I had explained the manufacturer makes the model in 3 different colors; I wanted to know which color etronics was selling. I decided to wait for my package because it was probably the color I wanted.
It arrived and I didn't even have to open the box. It said "BLACK" in large letters across the side. I don't know why etronics was unable to figure out this little bit of info for me, but it is irritating that they either didn't want to check or their business is set up in a way that they can't call their warehouse to find out.
Aside from that shortcoming I am pleased with the company, and would order from them again, but only if they know what it is they are selling before I order it.

"On 2/24/06 I ordered through etronics.com's web site a Uniden TCX440 cordless telephone expansion handset. At the time of order, the etronics.com web site indicated that the item was in stock. On 3/2/06 I received an email from etronics stating that "Your order has been shipped directly from our vendor in order to expedite the processing of your order". Simply translated, this means that etronics did not have the item in stock when my order was placed.

I received my order on 3/3/06. The package was shipped via UPS from Austin, Texas. A UPS "Express Pad Pak" was used as a shipping container. Despite a warning on the Express Pad Pak that "Contents should be packed to ensure safe transportation.", the shipper simply put the box containing the telephone into the Express Pad Pak (which is just a bubble wrap lined shipping envelope) without using an outer carton. When I received my order, the telephone's box was crushed at the corners. To make matters worse, the battery pack was missing from the telephone's box. A replacement battery pack from Uniden has a list price of $16.70, so the missing battery pack was a significant part of the telephone's cost.

After two calls to Uniden, one to customer service and the other to the parts department, I was able to obtain a free replacement for the missing battery pack. After the replacement battery pack was installed and charged, the new telephone handset worked fine.

Based upon my experience with etronics.com, I have come to the following conclusions:
1) Inventory information on etronics web site is unreliable.
2) Etronics does make a good faith effort to ship out of stock merchandise as soon as possible.
3) One of etronic's suppliers could use some lessons in packing delicate merchandise for shipment.
4) etronic's prices are highly competitive with those of other web merchants.

I can't really fault either etronics or its supplier for the missing battery pack since I have no way of knowing whether the battery pack was removed by etronics' supplier or was simply left out of the box by the manufacturer. In either case, the missing battery pack was a real nuisance that caused me lost time and aggravation.

"Had a good price and ok rating so I decided to try them. Did not see an option for shipping comments through order, so right after ordering I sent them an email with the instructions which was ignored completly. They said they needed the billing address, which they had and I had them re-run and they acknowledged worked when they tried again. I thanked them for ignoring my shipping email and they didn't respond to it STILL! I notified them to cancel my order if they did not get it shipped out the next day, they ignored that to. I don't pay for fast shipping to just have a package not get sent out for weeks!! Horrible horrible customer service!!!!! Nothing but generic emails and they have only responded to me when THEY screwed up with charging my credit card. "

"Not sure how they get a rating of 8.25 out of 10 with all the bad reviews...Don't buy from these guys if you want to get your item in a normal time frame.
My order took 1 month to get , when it said it was in stock and ready to ship in 24hours. I ordered a Yamaha HTR-5850 receiver on Jan 25th, 2006. After several Emails, I got one response forwarding me to international orders...after which I never got a response till Feb 9th stating arrived at the International Consolidation Center several days later I recieved antoher email on Feb 13 stating that it had left the consolidation center. Well it arrived yesterday Feb 22nd, almost 1 month after ordering and paying for the item. I am happy with the item. Etronics needs to work on customer service and order processing...

"In two words: The Worst!

Let's start with the fact that etronics issues an "ORDER" number when you purchase online, then reissues another different INVOICE number, which I now get... The first [order] number appears on the invoice which you recieve after waiting for delivery for 17 days (as I did) and the second number disappears so becomes to more difficult to post a bad review since you need it to post here. (Glad I saved both numbers.)

The fact is that I ordered two pairs of Infinity car speakers that cost $57.99/pair plus $8.40 each for shipping. After 10 days and numerous e-mails informing me that the product (which indicated it was in-stock at the time I ordered)was not currently available and that etronics was waiting for new inventory, I mailed them and gave them a second alternative of comparable Alpine speakers if they would first notify me of the status.

I also told them specifically to NOT ship a partial order since I needed 4 matching 5x7 speakers...

Two days later I recieved another (now the 7th) e-mail informing me that my order was being shipped. OK...

Two more days, now 17 days and 8 etronics e-mails from my original date of order, and a box containing ONE pair of Alpines for a shipping charge of $16.80 arrives!

So am I going to suggest that anybody believe any of the favorable ratings about this &$#@-bum outfit!?? Again, the worst!

I went on the Crutchfield site and found that they had also just taken delivery of the same Alpine speakers and my second pair (since I now needed to match my first pair...)arrived in two days with a free pair of connector adapters and a good set of (also free) installation instructions. Cost- 59 bucks with their spring free shipping special.

So where am I going to recommend people to shop!?
