"DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM ETRONICS.COM. I ordered an MP3 player off the site (for $30 cheaper than most), which the site claimed was in stock and would ship within 24 hours. When 3 days went by I sent an email to the customer service website inquiring about the status and received an auto-response claiming that my email would be handled (not being able to talk with someone should be enough of a sign to avoid these guys). No response. A day later I send an email cancelling my order (again no response). I then receive an email from them saying my order is delayed!!! I then sent another message a day later requesting again to cancel my order. I find out later than the next day they shipped my product. 4 days went by and I cancelled twice and they shipped anyway. They obviously ignored my requests to cancel and mislabel their products as in-stock when they are not. Luckily I did not up for next day UPS. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20-30 and go to a reputable company. I ordered the same product from J&R and it shipped the next day."

"STAY AWAY FROM ETRONICS!!! WORST online store! I have placed my order Jan-12
Jan-31 i have canceled it, i have not recievd any information reguarding my order status, even though i tried to contact the unexistant customer service. There is no such thing as a customer service at etronics.com. Only when i send an e-mail canceling my order, that i was told my murchandise is on the backorder. It's been almost two weeks since i cancaled my order and i have not seen my money back.
STAY AWAY FROM ETRONICS!!! Low prices means no service, lack of comunication, disreguard for your money. At the end you loose time, posibly money, and get a real bad experience. I love online shopping, ive been doing it for years, but this experience is by far the worst case i have seen.

"Purchased the Braun 8595 Activator Self-Cleaning Shaving System with LCD Display on 01/07/2006. Never recieved confirmation from them about my order until 01/17/2006 (10 Days later), informing me my order is ABOUT to ship. I have tried contacting them several times about my order with no response and their online order tracking says my order doesn't exist. Horrible experience with this company. Today is 01/24/2006 and still no word about my order, 17 days later!"

"Don't even think about ordering from ETRONICS. Just ask yourself why there is no phone number on their website (wish I had). If you try to reach them via email, you'll get a CANNED (NON)RESPONSE again and again and again. No one's home... they've got the cash and they don't want to hear from you anymore. The ratings above are ???unusually misleading??? for a company that has so many unhappy customers. Do your homework folks... stay away from these guys. "

"i placed an order with etronics on the 16th, and had to cancel the order the next day. so i sent their customer service an email requesting that my order be canceled, and two hours later i recieve an email stating the order had been canceled. im happy to see that etronics isnt one of those stores who tries to argue and make canceling an order difficult. after this experience i would definetly do business with them again."

"Ordered an item listed as "in stock, usually ships in 1-2 days" got the following completely uninformative email late night on the 17th:

Order status can change quickly, and it is possible that your order may
even ship between the time we send this message and the time that you
read it. When items in your order are shipped, you will receive an
e-mail confirming the date, and tracking number of your shipment.

If your shipment arrives too late, you should know that you may always
refuse delivery or return it to us for a refund less any shipping and
handling charges.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

Please note: This e-mail was sent from a notification-only address

That's it! no reason, no duration of delay, just "delayed". Heck, by this email it could be years before they send it. The item still lists as "in stock, usually ships in 1-2 days".

Also note that the email was sent from "****@****" which the email says: "This e-mail was sent from a notification-only address that cannot accept incoming e-mail. Please do not reply to this message."

so I guess I wont be getting a reply to my email.

I immediately went to the web site and cancelled the order, we'll see if that gets "delayed".

If I don't add an "edit" line to the bottom of this review, then the order cancelled without incident.

I find this kind of vague communication and delay without reason, very frustrating.

I will buy from one of etronics.com competitors in the future.

"I had a misdelivery problem that was probably more my fault than etronic's. I emailed about the problem, and two day later I received news that the delivery would be made to the right place, and at no further cost to me. The item was a freezer, and the correct address was in Florida, not California. I'm going to buy from this company again.

"Good, honest, competent and prompt online merchant. Ordered a Canon lens from them, they shipped it the same day I ordered it. The lens was defective (Canon's fault, not Etronics). They helped me by giving me an RMA number to return the defective lens and they shipped me a new lens. They did charge me again for the second lens (for speed) but promptly credited my credit card once they received me defective lens.
I highly recommend this merchant.

"My product came in late even though I paid for 2 day shipping.
The product was opened- infact the original item packaging was taped shut with packaging tape.
I tried to return it and was told that it would cost me just as much to return the product then I bought it for (restocking charges).
I will never use them again!

"TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Ordered gift online 12/14, web site said "Availablity [sic]: In stock. Usually ships within 24 Hours". Credit card was charged 12/15. Today is 12/28, obviously did not receive for Christmas, and never received any notice other than original order confirmation. I requested order cancellation, and received this message "Please note that it can take up to 30 days for the Cyber system to accept the refunded transaction." What?? Up to 30 days to refund a charge for an item that was not in stock and that they couldn't ship? A reputable company would not charge the card until they are ready to ship the item, and would also notify the buyer of a shipping delay. BUYER BEWARE!"
