"Liars! The claim to have every product in stock (or the vast majority), but infact they dont. They attract customers with lower prices, but once you place an order, you just wait... They are not trustworthy. I got 3 e-mails over course of weeks apologizing about the olympus camera I ordered, bot being in stock, and should ship soon. After days had gone by, I cancelled it. I sent an e-mail but never got any response."

"The items I ordered were listed as being in stock. After 5 days, I contacted them only to find out that the items would be in stock in a day or two. Three days later, they claimed that there is a delay getting the items. I cancelled the order. Not a reliable place to do business."

"WARNING: Prices subject to negotiation after order confirmation!

I ordered 2 Lexar 80x WA 1GB Compact Flash cards from Etronics.com for $109 + s/h each (which is a good deal, but not a steal). I recieve my order confirmation and thaking me for the order. I felt good about it. However, I got an email from Etronics telling me there was a pricing mixup and the correct price should have been $179 each -- they said because of the mix up, they would allow me to purchase the cards at $155.99 each. Wow what a deal (for them). I responded by telling them that I didn't think changing the price after you agree to sell it to me is a good business policy. I spoke with a sales rep on the phone about it and he basically told me they weren't concerned about losing my business. I was planning to spend at least another $1,000 with them for lenses for my new SLR camera but now I will find someone else to do business with. I was forced to agree to their new terms or cancel the order -- so I canceled -- then got a better deal overall at Buy.com (2 2GB ScanDisk Ultra II cards for less than $300 total).

"I was extremely happy with my purchase my the Samsung DLP 507W. I was pleasantly surprise to receive the version 507W1 edition. Delivery speed was amazing and I received my tv in about 5 days from order date. I know from the feedback that if a customer received any defective devices that it is a chore to rectify. My DLP was new, perfectly packaged and better yet no missing pixels(Knock on wood). TV works perfectly well. Customer Service is a little lacking. I would suggest Etronics to anyone, but be wary of their policy on defective products. Overall experience with Etronics was way better than I expected so kudos to them."

"Much like others, I only trusted the availability status of an item from their website. It said it was in stock. On the fourth day following order placement, an e-mail was sent to me informing me that there is a delay in my order for one of my items in my order. The only item in my order was a corded phone. So I cancelled it. It doesn't help to have a best overall price if it isn't in stock when it says so on their website. Not acceptable for a US merchant. I've had better luck with online auction or Etailer offshore merchants than Etronics. It was easy to cancel my order online and their confirmation of cancellation success arrived via e-mail minutes after. But I wouldn't recommend this outfit for anything."

"I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel from Etronics via eBay. Their customer service was excellent, patient, and quickly answered any inquiries I had post sale. I was informed of the tracking number as soon as the item had shipped (which was the next day). However. an emergency required that I put off the purchase of the Rebel for a couple of months. I was able to return the item with absolutely no trouble or restocking fee. I was refunded quickly and was only charged the shipping. The turn around from purchase to refund took less than 15 days! I’m very impressed with how well the whole process went and I’m confident that my experience isn’t an exclusive one. I would definitely recommend Etronics and hope to purchase from them via eBay again."

"Very dissatisfied. Do not order from this store if you actually care if you get the item. On March 22nd, I ordered a Nikon 17-55 lens which was listed as "In Stock". I called to confirm that it was in stock, and they said "yes it is in stock and ready to ship". I ordered, and waited, and no lens. Found out that they sold more than they had. For the next four months I kept asking weekly what the status was and if they would be shipping my order soon, and all I got back were copy and paste responses that "The fact that we do not have a specific date only means the manufacturer or distributor does not have a date but it is definitely on the way. We should receive it as soon as any other retailer." I waited and waited, and finally this week they said that they had either lost or cancelled my order. Ordered it from cameta camera and it will be here on Tuesday. All I can say is that my experience with etronics was terrible, frustrating, and a complete waste of time."

"Ordered three crucial components to the home theater I was setting up, all of which said they would ship in 24 hrs. I needed them ASAP as I was leaving town, and selected overnight shipping. Two days later, my order has still not shipped and probably will not arrive before I leave. Not very impressed with their processing times AT ALL."

"Have done business with them in past and had a good experience. This time is completely different now. I order a Alpine Type R subwoofer and a Sony Amp from them on the morning of the 20th and I get the package less than 24 hours later and its left on my porch. The shipping speed and service is commendable , but I am also located in NJ only a couple hours away from their store so don't get too excited. Well I open the box which came to me without sign of damage, worst thing was maybe a poor tape job on the top, but nothing that worried me about opening the box. The box was still seal and looked like it had never been opened. Well I open the box and guess what... I have the sub but I dont have an amp. Its a pretty big box, but a 1200 watt amp isn't exactly something that falls out of your pocket. They sent me a box the size to ship a 21" monitor and all I have in there is a 10" sub. The packing was pathetic too. The box wasn't even full! The sub could have easily been banged around and damaged during transport if it wasnt for the good packing the retail packing provided. Anyhow I was a little worried about the amp not being there so I called up etronics and they said (after I had to fax them my packing list) that the problem is that UPS apparently messed something up and they have to go to them and I have to wait 2 to 4 week!!! Well I will see how this goes and post an update... but if things continue at this rate I will never do business with them again!!!

-- UPDATE --

3 Months later I still DO NOT have the Amp and every e-mail or phone call I make gets replied with either confusion or some sort of delay. These people are liars and will snake you out of your money. I lost over $100 to them and I will never do business with them. Don't order from them, its not worth the risk having them lose your order and not refund you to save a couple dollars.

"The Etronics.com account registration and order process would not accept my billing and shipping information correctly, leading to two delays in the "Verification Process" and a three day delay in shipping. Then I was informed that the product I ordered (a Panasonic DMC-FZ10K digital camera) was out of stock and would not be in stock for another 5-7 days.

That is unacceptable, so I cancelled the order.
