Bought a mobile from Expansys through Amazon, phone broke after 6 months, took Expansys a week and 5 phone calls from me for them to send TNT to pick the phone up... everytime I rang about the repair was told they knew nothing an it was still at repairers.. after 7 weeks was told they were sending me a new one and they would email me the tracking number- email never received. Phoned them next day was told that I was given the wrong info and phone still being repaired. After 9 weeks daughter climbing wall without a phone (teenager!!) so I buy her a new one and write letter to Expansys requesting a full refund. Today a brand new phone arrives. What am I meant to do with it.. I am to old to use a Blackberry phone!!!
This company is shocking and as its based in France opening times are an hour behind.
I could go on and on but I wont but this company has just made me lose all faith in electrical companies."

Ordered a GPS because it was £10 cheaper than amazon, long story short it was no good so I rang for a returns number / address.
Was told that it would be sent 'soon'.
Rang later that day, was told that it was always going to be 24h.
Rang back several times after 24h, no one answering phones!
Emailed, twittered, raised a Paypal dispute, NO RESPONSE AT ALL for 10 days now and counting.
Finally on the afternoon of the last day (just before it would have been illegal in the UK for them to ignore me) I got an automated email with an RMA number. They now have my item but they're still ignoring me. Worried sick that I've lost £200 with this company. Please pleas heed the warnings!"
"We ordered x2 monitors from Expansys-UK and they arrived in good time but after opening and setting up the monitors we realized the monitors where the wrong ones and were totally different from what we ordered, we arranged a return and asked for our money back as the ones we ordered they now couldn't get hold of.
After a month we started looking at different monitors for our business and came across Expansys-UK again as it was a good price we thought we would give them another go and ordered 2 monitor that said "in stock"
As we wasn't in a big rush wasn't bothered if it took 2 week for deliver but after 30 day I had to email them to find out what was going on, this is when I got a reply.

I am a very easy going guy, I take a lot of crap and put up with it, but this "company" has thrown so much crap at me FOR THE LAST MONTH!! I have to speak up. I never write reviews, the situation is so bad it has forced me to write this so please don't take it lightly, I am not doing this for an angry rant or on a whim.
-Ordered an external hard drive on june 17th. Product was shown to have 22 in stock, and would ship immediately and arrive in 3 or so days
-One week later still had not arrived so I rang and was told that due to delivery problems stock had just arrived and it would be shipped that day. Should have questioned why the website said it was in stock but didn't.
-Another week later rang again and was told a delivery would be in the next day, to which I got very angry, they apologised for their "mistake" told me they would ship the next day.
-Another week goes by, I ring again, and I am told it still has not shipped, I try to keep a cool head, and I am told a note has been put on my account to ship my order straight away,
-5 days later I ring to make sure it has shipped, and I am told, "due to a problem with a delivery your item has only just arrived we will ship it today". Straight away I asked for a refund, which I am told would not arrive for 72 hours, so naturally I expect to be chasing it for another month!! I get the feeling that no matter how long I waited I would never receive what I ordered, and that I would inevitably have had to ask for my money back.
ALMOST ONE MONTH LATER AND IM STILL BEING FED ABSOLUTE BULLS**T PREPREPARED EXCUSES!!!
Having to give even one star to this review makes me angry.

"I ordered from expansys.ie. I think that they are the worst site I have ever ordered from. I tried to order the Samsung Galaxy S2 from them using paypal.
Three days after I ordered I got an email telling me that I didn't give a full delivery address. I replied to this email and after four days I didnt get a reply so I sent this email again and they replied two days later.
I waited another week and got another email telling me to scan a utility bill and I.D. After sending this in I waited three more days and got an email from paypal saying that I received a refund. I tried to contact them twice since asking why I didn't get my phone but got no reply.
I think that expansys customer service is absolutely brutal. Never order form their again. I ordered from phonesonline.ie today and I received conformation, hopefully I won't have any problems."

"I rarely write reviews but I always read them... I decided having read some bad reviews regarding expansys I'd take the risk, they can't actually be that bad and maybe I'll be fine.
I ordered an ipad case which turned up and was a completely different style case, I contacted customer service who advised me to take photos of the item and send them, I couldn't believe it, I said why don't you check your warehouse as to what you're sending out? This then prompted quite a rude reaction from the rep and I decided to comply.
I sent the photos, then chased 4 days later for a response, I was advised to return it for a replacement, I said I just want a refund. I returned the item and waited... A week later I received a mail stating they had received it, considering the return was a next day courier service I was surprised. I then waited another 10 working days and heard nothing, I started sending mails and finally decided to try the very rude customer service. There is a lady with what sound to me like a French accent and is so rude. As I explained the issue and advised all the problems she said she'd look into it, as I continued to talk she told me to be patient and stop talking. The conversation then quickly escalated as I told her she shouldn't speak to people like that which I was told no to keep repeating the issues and rambling. This then resulted in the lady putting the phone down. In between all of this I was told I'd been sent a replacement, I said I hadn't received anything, been told or sent a tracking number... It all appears to be lies.
I've experienced poor customer service from places like play.com or amazon, but this is by far the worst I've ever encountered, I cannot believe someone in customer services thinks it's appropriate to talk to people the way I was, and after expansys fell short on the refund and sending the right item in the first place. No apology at any point."

"I ordered a graphics card from Expansys. They sent me the wrong one and weren't able to obtain the correct one.
It took them over a month to refund me. When I posted it back to them, they said they couldn't find it and I had to provide them with the tracking number.
I didn't really mind their original mistake, but having to chase them for the refund was very poor."

"one of the worst experiences I ever had... NEVER AGAIN, even if their mobiles will be sold for half the price!!
UK? France? What? Where? This is EXTREME.
First of all, the mobile (Omnia 7) arrived with an adapter, becuase it was not a UK version, whereas none told you that before. A week later you call the wesbite on a UK number due to a faulty handset, someone answers in France, completely unaware of your case, makes all the promises (not extremely polite customer service though, be it the UK or France one -- quite rude I would say).
Two weeks later still no word from expansys, you make all the calls, you are transferred from UK to France, and not to mention the blame game, i.e. the French office blaming UK, and vice versa!! one of them told me "They don;t know what they are talking about, ha"!!
Now, three weeks since I returned the phone, I forced one manager to send me an email promising refund. She did. But three days later I received another email saying my mobile arrived in their warehouse and is due to be repaired!!
I just can't take it anymore."
"I couldnt find a page for the Expansys Australia store so I am going to post my review (story) here in the hopes that my Aussie neighbours get to see this when they are looking for an Archos tablet like I was or a direct customer experience for this company. I recently ordered an Archos tablet & some accessories for my iphone4. I have to say that I was really impressed by the customer service lady who I spoke to. I decided after placing my order to add my accessories to it and did not know how to do this really so contacted their office. The customer service lady was really helpful and nothing seemed difficult too for her. It was lovely to have such a friendly person to take my call. I guess that I upgraded my order so she should be happy(!!), but the fact was that she was indeed very friendly and lovely to deal with. I was concerned about the delivery because I do not normally buy online but one of my business contacts recommended this store to me and I did not know where else to buy this item from anyway (they have a really solid product range for these types of things). She explained the delivery process for me as well which helped. I was thrilled when my delivery arrived today so I decided to post a positive review for her and Expansys (sorry darl if you are reading I can not remember your name). I will tell my friends to shop at Expansys.com.au now and feel very satisfied with my first major online shopping purchase. I could get addicted to this online tech shopping thing!!!!! Very easy indeed!!!!! "
"I'm honestly shocked by how many negative reviews there are of Expansys. I've dealt with both their UK and US branch on several occasions, and they're really not that bad. Two things I do agree with (as mentioned in others' reviews) is that you will often find that an item listed as being in stock is not, and you may have to wait a short time to receive it. I was surprised to read in one review that, when asked directly, a customer service rep lied about a particular item being in stock when it was in fact not. This may be attributable to one person though and does not necessarily represent the entire company (but don't quote me on that!). Another thing is that their email response to queries can be a little vague, and in some instances may require you to ask for further clarification. The thing I like most about Expansys though is that cancelling an order has always been quick and easy (provided it hasn't already been shipped). However, in one instance I placed an order for three or four items and later asked that one be removed from the order. Instead, the entire order was cancelled and no explanation given. On the plus side, their international courier delivery fee to the country in which I live is relatively cheaper than some of their competitors (e.g. Clove Technology UK). Another plus for Expansys is that certain items, particularly mobile phones, are available for pre-order the day they are officially announced by their manufacturers. I am likely to use Expansys again if the need arises."

I left a polite message on their forum to point out this behaviour. Did they apologise? Did they deny it? Did they explain that a mistake had been made? No, they deleted my posting.
So, Expansys do not care about what their customers say, they ignore your preferences and spam you anyway. If they can't get the basics right, do you really trust them to deal with anything else?
Now, this might not be the biggest deal in the world compared with some of the other things that companies do, but I want Expansys to know that, after I've been treated like this on a tiny order (a few cables), I would never consider buying anything big from them. What would be the point?!"
"Oh dear! Didn't read any reviews due so excited by the price. Ordered and paid for a monitor 12 days ago. Still awaiting stock, although website shows stock and price has gone up. Seems to be a regular tactic judging by other reviews. Rang to chase up. Was told there will be stock in a couple more days. Will wait and see!! First and last time I use this retailer. AVOID"
