"I ordered a Xbox Kinect Sensor for my son as a birthday present. Expansys made up so many things just because they did not have the sensor in stock. On the website it said 100+ in stock. I order it and two days after they send me an email saying my card details are invalid so i was like okayy and re-sent them the right card details. They then said they need proof of address. I have never witnessed in all my life of internet shopping for electricals the company asking for proof of address. They said to make it a Driving Licence or a Utility bill. I sent the my driving licence copy. The next day as the had still not got the kinect in stock they asked for additional proof of address. They have now after 1 week despatched my kinect. I am still wasitng for it. I would never ever recommend."
"I ordered 2 Tom Tom Car Mounts at £79.99 each and the order was confimed and the tracking status was "ready to be shipped" I checked on their web site next day, the individual price had increased by £20.00 and they were showing 100+ in stock as they were when I originally ordered. However the tracking status for my order had been changed to "awaiting stock" Spoke to an individual calling himself Matthew and was assured this was an error and it would be rectified. Just to test their sincerity I pretended I was another customer and asked if they had these items in stock, the answer was yes and would I like to place an order!My impression of this company is that they were nothing more than cheapskate rogues and I subsequently cancelled my order paid for through PayPal, after waiting another 5 days."
"I should have read these reviews before ordering. I fell for what looks like their usual tactics. I ordered a few cheap cables when their system said there were 65 still in stock. Two days after my order, the status says they are not shipping yet because they are awaiting stock. Of course they did not wait to take my money. There is no ETA, no follow-up, and no proactive option to cancel, etc. "

1. I ordered and paid by MasterCard. They confirmed the order and then canceled with no explanation. When I asked I was told to pay via bank transfer to get my order.
2. In delivered package they sent me different battery type than I ordered. I suspect that they didn't have the proper one in stock.
3. It took over 1 month to sort out replacement.
4. Didn't received refund for postage I had to pay for returning wrong item.
5. They treat my like if it was my fault that they sent wrong item."

"Lousy retailer, order an Asrock Netop 330HT-BD on March 5th, 2010 and since then the stock status kept on chaning. Call twice and representative said they were expecting them by end of the week. I have sent an email on May 5th, 2010 to cancel my order and a confirmation came back said it was cancel. After two hours another representative sent me an email explaining that they were having stock on Friday, May 7th, 2010. After canceling the order they were still lying about the stock, pathetic. " I recently lost my contract Nokie E71 and being unable to afford the high cost of replacing it, I looked out for a cheap replacement. As I like to use my phone as a diary and organiser, I wanted one that ran Windows mobile in order that I can synchronise it with Outlook on my computer. I was delighted when I saw that Expansys were selling Palm Treo 500s for what I thought was a bargain price of £80 plus (I have since found that www.svp.co.uk are selling then for £10 less and have a better reputation to boot). I bought the phone as it was the cheapest that ran Windows mobile, despite some mixed reviews of the handset itself and many people complaining about poor reliablity / build quality. I decided to dismiss these fears as I only had 6 months until my contract ran out, and also I figured that any UK company would honour their 12 month guarantee right? Well how wrong I was! I bought the phone last month, and by the beginning of this month it was unusable with the screen being mush and no text being legible. Naturally I contacted Expansys customer services and sent the phone back to them. They responded after 5 days, saying that the LCD screen had been damaged by myself (despite the fact that the LCD screen was beneath another clear screen which was undamaged), absolving themselves of all responsiblity, and basically telling me it is my problem.
Now I have been for a fortnight without a phone, and have to pay for another or, and I am apoplectic with rage. This is a total false economy, as what appeared to be a bargain turned out to be a dreadful and expensive mistake. The only reason why they can profit from sellng windows mobiles at this price is by selling an inferior quality product, and then washing their hands of it when it goes wrong. I 10 years of owning mobiles, I have only had one other go wrong under guarantee and even then it was after 11 months. This piece of junk lasted just a few weeks and the merchant washed their hands of it completely. Please take my advice and go to a reputable retailer if you are looking at a product with a mixed reputation as it will sell you a whole lot in the long run.

The customer support insisted that my credit card had been declined??? I tried patiently to explain that Bank transfer has nothing to do with a credit card, but they would not understand. How come these people are in business?
