"Definitely a good deal in terms of cost for the product I bought, but the service always matters for consumer. I got a call from the dealer the next day of my order and was asking extra $30 for insurance, which was no where specified while placing order online. And the guy who called me is just asking me to let him know, to process or cancel the order, without even giving any time for thinking, finally without any confirmation from my end, the order was cancelled and hung up the call. I called in the evening and explained everything what had happened with me, so he changed shipping to priority (3days), but insurance has to be payed (in short, I payed for shipping). So before purchasing please talk with customer service and find out all the hidden costs & policies, make yourself clear."

"Got a great deal on my Nikon D7000. I've been keeping an eye on market prices for over a year while I was saving up and when I was ready to buy, fumfie had the cheapest price by far! Costumer service was very polite, patient, quick and efficient. The product was shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely be shopping with fumfie again very soon!"

"BUYER BEWARE!! BAIT AND SWITCH ARTISTS. I ordered a Canon T3 camera from them -- shortly after I placed the order, they called and offered to sell me a 4 hour battery with charger, case and UV lens for an extra $49. I agreed, but when I received the camera, there was no extra battery, and the case was much smaller than what they said they would send. Also, it turns out there's no such thing as an extended battery.

I called to ask for either: the missing extended battery and charger, or a refund of the $49, and they said they couldn't do that. They offered to send a tripod and an extra retail battery instead. They never sent that. I called again, and now they said they could only send a tripod. That was never sent.

***UPDATE: After several conversations with the company, and with help from the manager (Henry), I was able to resolve the issue. I was sent additional items to make up for the extra charges. Although I received everything, this was still a very frustrating experience.

"I placed my order online with Fumfie for a video camera. Their price was the best I had found. After I placed the order I received a phone call to add extra stuff to my order. They were not high pressure and were nice enough, but I chose not purchase any other items. I received an email stating that my order had shipped and here was my invoice. There was no breakdown of the invoice but the total came to $75 more than what the camera and shipping costs came to. So I called customer service after talking to 3 different people, I got someone who could help. He explained that the extra charge was for insurance and that the person who called me would have explained that to me - he had not. My options were to ship the camera back - I pay for shipping + 15% restock fee + initial shipping + no refund of "insurance" charge. Or keep the camera, I chose the later. Was told that I would recieve some lense covers for my camera because I didn't understand about the insurance. as of yet they have not arrived, but they probably will.
This is my take. Overall they were good to deal with, but their price was the lowest to get the sale and then make their profit off of the insurance. For me the way it was handled was dishonest. UPDATE - Customer Service contacted me and I feel that they bent over backwards to correct the situation. Because of their interest in their customer satisfaction I have changed my rating of fumfie. I would recommend them and will purchase from them in the future.

"The worst customer service I have ever experienced! I called them on Tuesday 07/19/11 and asked for a Sony HXR-MC50U Camcorder, making sure it was in stock and ready to ship, confirmed final price with overnight shipping to Miami; finally decided to place the order that night, next day morning (07/20) founded an email asking me to call to confirm verbally, When I called, the first "customer service" rep said my order was all set and ready to ship; after 5 hours I didn’t see my Credit Card charged, and because I wanted overnight (urgently) I called them again to confirm my purchase, 1st agent hung up on me, then he said “ohh yeah you want to resell it right? I said no; and then he said I needed to pay $199 more for insurance!! I said no there is a mistake, you guys said early in the morning that everything was ready for my order… he kept saying the only way was paying $199 more, can you imagine that? I asked for his name, he said: Jhon Smith, (yeah right) then he said, wait I’m transferring to a another who will accommodate you, I got shuffled around to 2 people (none of whom identified themselves by name) someone finally got my call and said the same! That Miami has a “high risk “city, (my card has billing and shipping the same and order was under the card’s name) . I told him what a trick sells technique to show a price in the site and then try charging more over the phone! I have placed A LOT of online orders (every week) and have NEVER had customer service as poor as this! This is the reason people keep buying from Amazon even if they have a little higher price! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE AT ALL."

"I ordered a Sony HDR-XR160HD on the internet from Fumfie and was e-mailed to call regarding the order. I called and was convinced to order what I thought was another larger battery and charger along with a filter. When I received the order there was only what I assumed to be the original battery and an AC charger that had to be connected to the camera to charge. I called and talked with Simon in customer service, who appologized and assured me that they would send me an 8 hour battery and a remote charger that will work independently of the camera on AC or plug into car DC outlet. I will be a happy camper now as I am going to South Africa on a photo safari and need the extra battery and independent charger. You might say that I am charged up about my upcoming trip. Thanks FUMFIE. Dan in Birmingham."
