"I was hesitant b/c of some negative feedback, but there were also positive feedback. The order came just as advertised with free shipping and no tax. Excellent product. It arrived within 6days ahead of the 7-10 day estimate for free shipping.
Some things you need to know during purchase process.
1. Confirmation email had no order/confirmation number and required you to call them to verify the order.
2. Call was pleasant. They verified it was in stock. Offered some accessories which I declined.
3. Fumfie rep indicated a $40 insurance requirement that is tacked onto the purchase price. This is not mentioned anywhere during the online purchase until you call. Didn't like it, but agreed. Price was still cheaper than everywher else.
4. They email you a tracking number.
5. Item arrived with no invoice but a thank you letter along with offer for a free tripod to leave feedback.
Would I buy again. Yes. "
"I had read numerous reviews of this company prior to placing my order and was warned of an "insurance fee" that the company slipped in. Thinking that the price on the camera I wanted was too good to be true, I called the company to verify the price, that it was in stock, what came with it, etc. I was pleased to get to speak with someone very quickly, relatively no hold time at all. The guy who answered my call was very helpful. I specifically asked more than once about the insurance fee and was assured that there was no such thing that the listed price was the total. I submitted my order online and only received an email that said "thank you for your purchase, for faster service, please call to verify the details of this order". I got a call from them the next business day and at that point was told the price was $55 more than what it was listed for due to an "insurance fee". I was quite disturbed and stated that I had asked repeatedly about this and been told it did not exist. The service rep told me that they were a business and did have to make money, which I understand. I just felt swindled over the blatant deception. I considered canceling it all just out of principle but even with the extra $55 it was still a good price...just not AS good. ugh. He also tried to tell me the factory Canon battery only lasted for 30 minutes and I needed to buy a different battery- which he had on sale! I had also read a warning about that and said "no thanks". There was also an advertised "free cleaning kit" with a promo code to enter at checkout. Strangely, there was no such place to enter this promo code. They added it in kindly when i mentioned it to the sales rep however.
I received a tracking number that next day and the camera within a week- everything was great and the battery is still full of juice.
I'm not thrilled with this transaction, just because it didn't feel very professional and I hate to feel that I'm being deceived. However, if you go into it knowing that the fee will be there, in spite of what they tell you, and do your research ahead of time on the accessories that come with it (the battery, for example) then I guess it works out in the end to get a good (not fabulous as thought before) deal on quality products.

"I just purchased a camera, lense and battery from Fumfie and initially had issues. They sent me a confirmation email for my order (after i made the purchase), which did not contain a order number and did not provide a list of items purchased. I had an issue with this since there was no reference for the order i placed. The email confirmation just said to call them immediately to keep from delaying the order. Once I called them, they put me on with a salesman who asked me if I wanted to purchase extra batteries and tried to tell me that i would need to pay an additional $20 for insurance as it is their policy. I disagreed and asked them to cancel the entire order as this was not listed as a fee in my shopping cart when I confirmed the purchased. They agreed to waive the fee.
Fortunately their Customer Service Manager called me shortly after I wrote this review and apologized for the inconvenience caused and agreed to review the $20 insurance fee with their management to ensure customers are not surprised by this in the future. He also was kind enough to expedite the shipping of my order by overnight mail, to boost my confidence in Fumfie and threw in a complementary UV filter. He managed to take what started off as a poor experience with Fumfie and turn it around.
Fumfie does have some of the best prices on the internet, but it is my opinion that they intentionally get customers to call in after they have placed an order, so as to get them to spend more money. Not exactly appropriate in my opinion. This was my experience."
