"I ordered two used Xbox 360 games during FYE's buy one get 50% off sale. About 3 days after placing the order, I recieved an email says one game was shipped and that the other game was CANCELED. Yeah, canceled...and guess which one they canceled...the 50% off one :(

I was very happy with the conditon of the used game I did recieve, it looked to be a brand new game. I tried calling FYE two times to see if I could pick out another game or not. One time I got a very rude women that was completely useless and the other I got a nice man that still couldn't help me.

I'm not sure I will order from FYE again.

"Like many others, I ordered a LOTR box set. The offer was adverstised for a great price. They apparently sold out and FYE emailed me saying that they would ship my order once they restocked.

On Jan 21st (3 weeks after my order) I was notified that FYE was still looking for more stock and that "We will continue to work hard to ship your item(s) to you."

Apparently they never had any intention of meeting their obligation and were just hoping people would cancel. 3 days after that email (on the 24th), I received an email claiming that my order was cancelled because of a price mistake. I was offered a 10% coupon that expired within a single day.

Numerous emails sent afterwards received nonsense and contradictory response. I finally decided that FYE was not worth my time and gave up in disgust.

It's also impossible to call these guys. Their automated system hangs up on you -- even if you are lucky enough to find their number.

"This site sucks... I ordered an Xbox 360 game, then cancelled it 5 minutes later. They still sent the game. I researched the problem on their website, and found out it takes 5 days to cancel orders... WTF.. Why does it take 5 days to cancel an order, when they shipped the game the next day? Can someone answer that? Anyway, I still have not gotten a refund. USPS said they received the package on a friday, and today is monday. I called them up to ask why its taking soo long to get a refund, they told me that it takes 6 - 8 weeks to get a refund. WHY does it take soo long to do anything with this company? Why does this company try to cheat its customers by sending a product that was previously cancelled? This is the worst company I have ever used, and I will not purchase anything from them again. I have filled a complaint with the BBB for previous junk from FYE.com. Do not use this site to purchase anything!"

"FYE.COM appears to be in the business of
1. Charging people's credit cards immediately
2. Not shipping the item per official tracking showing item not even picked up
3. Having an automated maze that prevents people from easily finding out the status.
4. For those that do figure it out, they get to fill out a lengthy form that has a 45 day wait
5. By the time it is processed, it's too late to file a dispute with your credit card.

DO NOT WAIT. File a dispute with your credit card immediately, this is not a reputable establishment, look at the pattern that repeats itself over and over again as reported by a large percentage of their customers.

Get your money back through your credit card, not through FYE.COM then never make a mistake of letting them charge your credit card again.

"I made my purchase for the Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition 14 Disk Set. It was listed as backordered. It said "if the item becomes in stock in the next 30 days, we will ship it to you." Two days later I received a cancellation notice with no explanation.

I replied to that e-mail, no response.

I went to their web site where the only contact information is a form, which I filled out. No response.

10 days later, I did a whois on their domain and got their phone number. I got an answering machine. I left a message.

Then I called again and hit zero, I got an operator who, upon hearing why I was calling, transfered me to the same voice mail.

I called back and talked the operator into taking my number and having someone call me back the same day. When they called back, I wasn't near the phone, so they left a message. The message told me that this had been a price mistake, apologised, and told me to call back if I had anything else that they could help me with.

That same day, my e-mail was responded to, stating that they followed their pricing policy which says they don't have to honor anything and stating that this followed the FTC's policy.

Having been a law student, I replied stating that offer and acceptance law under the UCC (which is in force in NY, where they are located) forces them to honor the price; that the FTC agrees with this, and that the supreme court has upheld this as well.

They replied "read the FTC law"

I did, the FTC says that state law governs and state law refers to the UCC and the UCC is just as I stated it.

Complaints are pending with the FTC, New York State, and the BBB (note that they are already rated unsatisfactory by the BBB).

"I placed an online order at www.fye.com for a children's CD. After receiving a order confirmation email from FYE the same day, I was notified that the item was on backorder & could take up to 30 days to ship. I was given the option to cancel my order, which I did immediately. I received another email from FYE acknowledging my order change/cancellation request and vowing to process the changes within 3-5 business days. After 5 business days and 7 calendar days passed, my order was still being shown on their website as "processing". For the next 5 days, I repeatedly emailed FYE to get a current status on my order change. Despite receiving automated messages back, no one from FYE would return my emails. 11 days later, I called FYE and spoke w/ a customer rep. She confirmed that my order had been canceled and did not know why their website did not display that status. She vowed to have someone contact me with additional confirmation of the cancellation. No one ever did. 2 days later, I received an email from FYE saying that my order had been shipped. I immediately called FYE again to complain. This customer rep. claimed that they never received my order cancellation and the shipment could not be stopped. At this point, 9 business days and 13 calendar days had passed since my cancellation request despite their pledge to process orders within 3-5 business days. I returned the item the very next day after receiving it. It has now been almost 2 months and I have yet to be refunded my money. They continue to only respond to my emails with automated messages. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau."

"I placed an order for 2 new cds @ 5 used ones on 4/12/07, it is now 5/14/07 and I have only received the 2 new cds.(I was told I'd receive my items in 2 weeks via the website) This company is a disgrace, after searching on the internet for an hour I found a website not affiliated with fye.com that provided me with a customer service number for them where I was given the run around. First of all, the website provides you with a tracking # that cannot be used to track anything if you chose budget shipping which I did. FYE will tell you to contact the USPS, which I did & was then told to contact FYE. 5 phone calls later to FYE, I was told I'd have to wait 45 days from the date my items were shipped to request a refund @ which time I will receive an email providing me with a fax # to submit a written request for a refund! I am livid! I will never shop or recommend anyone else to shop @ FYE again, neither in person or on the internet. I ended up finding all of my cds on amazon.com & paid $12.00 less including 2 day shipping! I can only hope that @ some point I will get my money back & be rid of this inconvenient, bogus, waste of money;should've read a review 1st, thieving, lying, not having ANY understanding as to why people shop online in the 1st place; SO CALLED COMPANY! "

"Horrible company. I bought what was listed as Tekken 5: Ultimate Collector's Edition [PS2] on the website, and the description says it's the collector's edition. "Yeah, seriously, I ordered this DVD a month ago, was told to expect it in 2-3 weeks for ground shipping, and I've yet to see it. I emailed them using their customer service form, all I got was an automated FAQ type response email, which wasn't any help. I somehow managed to find on their website a customer service number to call, which was also automated. Just a minute ago I called the number that the user 'mustnap' previously posted on this site, I got a voice message box. What's their deal man?"

"This has to be the most clueless and frustrating company I have ever dealt with. Someone gave me a $25 gift card and for any number of excuses I have heard from the customer service fools they employ I have been unable to use it online. I have tried over a dozen times and the order gets cancelled after a couple of hours. They seem to think it's a "glitch" in their programming and for two months now they don't seem very concerned about fixing it. Next stop for me is the BBB as they have sold a $25 GC that they will not redeem."

"I placed an order for the LOTR box set that was on sale with a large number of other DVDs for $15. I waited weeks before receiving, like others, the same "system pricing error" lie. There were several reports of individuals receiving their orders at the sale price, and many other DVDs were similarly priced, so the idea that this was simply a "pricing error" doesn't stand to reason. The SKU was removed from their website, and a new SKU is now being used to sell the same set for $60. Replacing the SKU gives them plausible deniability when they claim "the item is no longer available". I've gone 'round and 'round with their ridiculous support people for weeks, with absolutely no intelligent response to date. "

"I placed this order 1.5 months ago. So far, I have not received the product in the mail, nor have I heard back from them. I checked their website for contact info- the only way to get ahold of them is by submitting a form. So I did so to ask the status of my order, *4* times since January 10. I have not received a *single* response! Is this how they run a business- not fulfilling orders without explanation, then not being reachable to even explain what's going on?
What kind of company doesn't even provide a number to contact them? Not a company I'd do business with.

"Bad experience. This company doesn't deliver items ordered. I would never buy anything from them or their parent company again. Ordered LOTR box set. Three weeks later still no shipment. I tried to emailing customer service and got no response and than 3 weeks later they cancelled my order due to pricing error. I don't believe FYE one bit. It doesn't take 3-4 weeks to then realize a pricing error. I will never shop at any Transworld stores again! like: Sam Goody, Suncoast, Wherehouse Music!!!!"

"I bought a LOTR DVD trilogy for a mere 14 bucks (current price on FYE rite now is $59.99 + shipping) on 3rd January and just like other people, the order was canceled because of price mistake on their part. What i could not understand if it was a price mistake, they should have realized it sooner. I guess they didn't want to sell the item for that kind of price.

If anyone wants to call their customer rep, you can do so using the number below. However there is a trick to use the number.

If you call this number ***-***-****, do not immediately press 9 (to speak to cust rep). You need to press 4 for online orders. Only after that you can press 9 to be connected to the cust rep. when i immediately press 9, all i got was the machine and said that they could not take care of my call and asked me to leave a message. heck i know they will not respond.

So if you have any other issue with the store/related to your order, use the method that i wrote above. hope this helps.

But for those who have not purchased anything at this store, stay away from them. Their business practices are terrible!
