"Had a broken inboard MagSafe I needed to repair. It was rated difficult and I had no experience with computer repair. Ordered the necessary tools followed the instructions and vwalla it worked. Probably saved me 500$+ and it was sorta rewarding too. I fix it is a great website that fills a huge need. Thanks!"
"The guide was informative and the part came already with the camera shroud and the adhesive applied to the speaker, my only small complaint is related to the display adhesive that I realized later was not included and there is no guide to install it. "
"Bad lcd quality... i just install my lcd and it has a yellow color... "
"I had to replace a burned USB port on my pixel xl. Since I needed to pull it apart I also got a replacement battery and it turned out I needed to replace the display.
Ifixit provided the guides and parts to make the repairs easy"
"Very high quality parts and tools. It was a perfect fit for the iphone 6s. Free online guide was very informative. You need to review the guide and go step by step and take your time."
"I broke my iPhone 6s glass while replacing the battery in my phone. I ordered the replacement screen from iFixit to then replace my now broken screen. The original screen has a gummy adhesive around it to keep out dust and moisture. It is so sticky that it makes removing the old tricky, even while heating it up. Nearly impossible to remove without damaging the adhesive as most of it comes off with the old screen. Then new replacement does not have that adhesive, and I think it should. The glass on the new screen appears to be a little thicker than the old by about .15mm which could be a good thing EXCEPT that it creates a small ridge around the edge and a great way for debris and oils from your hands to scrape into and force their way under the glass. I called their tech support and held for 15 minutes before being directed to leave a message. I chose to send in an email instead but have had no reply yet."
"Ordered the bluetooth/Wifi card. Does not come with cable, if this is the issue. This was a slightly difficult repair, but worked as soon as I rebotted. Saved an older Macbook pro 2011."
"The YouTube video to take it out was great. Wish there’d been one to put it back in but after doing it successfully I can see why no video. Too many cuss words and hair pulling! Actually it was quite a simple process but with everything so tiny it was challenging. The hardest part was getting one of the connectors to connect and then getting the microscopic screws to stick to the screwdriver so I could get them in the hole when putting the connector cover back on. Whew! Worked perfectly. Charging now. Hope it lasts a long time. "
"Heating pad did nothing to loosen the original adhesive. The prying tool to fit in between the bezel and glass did nothing. Waste of time and $40 for kit + digitizer."
"Arrived on time, exactly as ordered. Followed guide, about ~8 minutes to install. Working Great!! Recommended!"
"I bought an iPhone 6S Plus screen from you guys and had a local repair shop install it. Now my screen randomly simulates touches for a few minutes essentially rendering it useless while it is happening. To make it stop I just turn my phone off and back on and it’s usually good for an hour or so until the problem persists... I would ask for a refund but I would have to pay the shop to take it back off and I don’t have the funds right now... Any help would be greatly appreciated..! I’ve been a loyal ifixit customer and this is the 1st time I’ve ever had any issues with y’alls products..."
"Great packaging and product and it very fast delivery, as well the guide on iFixit was great!"
"Great packaging and product. Saved a lot of $$$ by replacing the battery myself. Thank you iFixit for doing all you do. "
"Ordered from iFixit before and it was great. But, this time, I got the wrong battery for an iPhone 6s -- the connector doesn't fit because I apparently have an older iPhone 6s that needs a different battery connector. Wish I knew that before or could order for an older phone from the get-go.
The adhesive strips aren't really special either. Next time I will use double-sided tape from an art supply store; it'll be a lot cheaper."
"I used the appropriate adhesive strips to re-secure my iMac screen after an SSD upgrade. 1 month later the meticulously applied adhesive failed and the screen fell off and shattered. This adhesive has cost me hundreds more dollars in repairs."
