"I had high hopes that Ifixit will give me a item that would work with no issues. Apparently, I was wrong. I bought a replacement screen for my Apple Watch series 2. I installed the item and all it shows me is a blank pixelated screen. I tried hard resetting it and it didn’t work. Ifixit needs to do better. They need to test the item and make sure it works before shipping it off. They also need to make the item well secured so if anything happens during transit, it doesn’t damage. The item I bought from Ifixit is not cheap, so I was thinking that the item will work as new with no issues. I email them 3 days ago, I’m hoping they respond to my email. I need an replacement. If I get excellent service and an item that works perfectly, then I will change my review. "

"Needed to replace the battery in wife's Pixel XL. I already had some iFixit tools for XBox and Note 3 repairs. This is my first encounter with the latest 'glued together' smart phones. I replaced the charging board/usb port and antenna wire on wife's old Note 3 and pressed it into service as a Kindle Reader a couple of years ago. The BFD was getting the screen off. 'Heat 'til it's almost too hot to touch...' is a bit vague and subjective but the iOpener finally did help get the screen off. Unfortunately, and even tho' we were careful with the picks around the edge, the screen circuitry was damaged. R & R-ing the battery was a breeze, thanks to the XL teardown guide. But, I found a new screen for $75 and it's all back together and running well for her. Even tho' I now know what to expect in releasing the screen, I will probably go ahead and buy a new one when it comes time to replace my XL's battery. These are right at 2 years old and with Google providing 3 years of security updates, we are thinking we can get another year out of them and see what the Pixel XL 4s look like this time next year.
