"I ordered a new laptop part for my MacBook Pro. And after following the online guide, I was able to fix the problem and get my MacBook up and running. I recommend it for anyone who likes to fix electronics or just want to prolong the life of their computers. "
"iFixit didn’t shipped the tools I ordered and paid for with my battery, I’ve ordered the complete kit for a battery instalation and they only shipped the battery. Another thing is that the package arrived too late from the date expected."
"IFixit is apparently selling the genuine factory OEM screen here. This deduction is based on what the screen looked like out of the box and how it performs. Some of the $143 screens I checked out had some bad reviews on Amazon and E-Bay so I opted to spend the extra.
My original screen was almost 4 years old and had lost all touch sensitivity on the left 1/3. After replacing with this new screen, touch was restored in spades and it was bright enough that I now run it at 50% instead of 75%. Here are tips based on my experience.
Go easy with the heat gun. Set it, maybe, half power. I set mine too high and warped the plastic bezel. I had to buy a used back housing off E-Bay for about $70. Doing it again I would have sprung for the microwave heating pads they sell.
Install the tape on the back of the screen. Do it on a completely flat hard surface. Be extremely gentle with the screen.
Once the screen is in place, that's it. I didn't apply any more heat or press down very hard anywhere. Not sure if this is recommended procedure but it worked for me and positively precluded any more bezel warping issues.
If you are not handy and do not have good shop practice skills I recommend you send your pad out. I have been doing this sort of stuff most of my adult life and found it tricky. There is a lot that can go wrong including lack of proper tools, forgetting to secure all connectors or installing "sandwich" connectors backwards, using too much heat, pressing down on the new screen too hard and breaking it and many more quagmires you will creatively find. They are not kidding when they say this is difficult. That said, if you are the patient sort and have lots of manual dexterity and a fair amount of bench experience you should be fine.

"Found just what I needed (a new battery for my 2011 MacBook Pro). Went with the toolkit, thankfully, because there were some weird screws I encountered. Got everything in a few days, checked the site for instructions, and had the repair done in 15 minutes. Too easy!"
"I have been looking for a solution for securing my replacement touchscreen on my HP laptop for over a year and tried several solutions without success, the screen kept falling out!. Then I found I found iFixit and the double-sided tape and dared to hope and quickly ordered my first roll. IT WORKED 1 little strip of tape on each side of the screen, carefully placed the screen in my HP Touchscreen Laptop and tilted it up. The screen, I am happy to report, hasn't moved since. Thank you iFixit !!!"
"Tons of tools to help you access what is needed"
"I received my order very fast and combined with their extensive videos and guides. I was able to fix my computer without and issues. Highly Recommended."
"If I could give 4.9 out of 5 I would, only because the motherboard arrived with a tyiny bit of dirt on it. However in my rush to buy it fast I couldn't get my Linus Tech Tips coupon code to work so I paid first and sent them an email which they quickly gave me a %10 refund to my PayPal :D
But about the dirt, I feel like what should I expect when buying a 10 year old ASUS ROG laptop part that I don't think they don't manufacture anymore. ASUS told me the only help they would give me was if I sent it to them and so I asked how affordable it would be as I am on a fixed Disability income and they said since it is a 8 year old laptop they would estimate a motherboard replacement of $800... So yeah the iFixit $39.99 motherboard it was. 0 in stock so I set up email notifications for when they got more stock and my phone went off a week later to tell me they had one, just one so I grabbed it as fast as I could. Loved the experience... Other than the dust bunnies... That was gross lol"
"Received my package quickly! Everything was as expected. "
"My Mac Mini was running slow. A memory check showed almost no free memory. I got iFixit's memory upgrade and installed it. My Mac is back up to speed now. "
"Just awesome and great to have this fast and perfect fit all the time. Just that for 100$ order they should have free order, like all the big ones out there.
But the product and support is awesome! Keep it up guys!"
"I received the battery for my MacBook Pro when promised along with the kit. I had seen a YouTube video (about battery installation) by one of your fans (https://youtu.be/rfHHIERH2J0). It was from this recommendation that I chose to purchase my battery kit from you. The kit had everything I needed to do the battery installation which went quite smoothly. "
"Been Over 9 days since order was placed and still haven’t received my package. Won’t be buying from here again. "
