"I was a little concerned that the two RAM were from different manufacturers but it seems to be working as expected."
"Great service and great guides for repairs. I would recommend ifixit to anyone needing a repair "
"Ordered small part for microwave , waited for a week still no part . Then get an email "per your request we are cancelling order " . Call 800 number waste about a total of one hour trying to through but they never answer their phones . Sent an email asking what issue was , one week later no response to email . Basically terrible service and would definitely stay away from them. "
"I can trust iFixit to resell quality parts with detailed instructions. Thank you iFixit!"
"I ordered a logic board. When I received it first I thought that it was incompatible with my product and I sent a claim, but they tried to understand my point and confirm my support request and help me do my job.
Great support "
"My mid-2011 iMac was not booting up no matter from what avenue I tried. I had already opened it up twice - 1st to soup it up to SSD a few years ago, 2nd to bake the graphics card when it crapped out (and that worked amazingly) -- so I kinda know what I'm doing when it comes to these self repairs. I bought a logic board first from Amazon - because I buy a lot from Amazon - but that board kept sending me the 3 beep RAM error at startup. I shuffled my RAM around and got it to start up, but it was still acting oddly with a really late startup chime. I mean really, really late. It was weird but I was glad to have my iMac back - sort of. Then I started getting these far delayed RAM failures. I knew the board was bad. So I sent it back to Amazon and bought another logic board from iFixit.
The iFixit board works perfectly (and btw my RAM was fine). I'm going straight to iFixit next time! "
"Had a good experience using the iFixit "how to" repair guides online to replace my WiFi/GPS antenna cable and later my earpiece speaker and front camera. Ordered some replacement parts to fix my iPhone 6. Parts prices are a little higher than eBay but the regular shipping (via USPS) was reasonably fast and reasonably priced. I had a good experience with iFixit. "
"Quick to ship. The protech toolkit is everything you think it will be and more. Every piece of the kit feels way over built for its size (and price, for that matter). Efficient and beautiful arrangement of each tool; clearly a lot of thought and design went into every bit and its placement. "
"Ordered replacement MacBook Pro lower panel screws and plastic feet and they were perfect. No issues."
"I ordered several plastic non-marring tools and so far the ones that I have used have been helpful in repairing various computer and TV related products. I would buy these again!!"
"Some how my package ended up going from California to Texas and back to California.
The normal delivery is 2-3 days it took 6 days to arrive.
I imagine the cause was the post office missed up and not fixit.
Since the part managed to be delivered to the correct address."
"I took my iPhone 6 to Apple to have the battery replaced. When they worked on it they claimed to discover a spot of brown liquid on the battery and then said that they were not allowed to work on my phone. I read about iFixit online and decided to give it a shot. I was impressed that they were matching the same price of less than $30 that Apple was. It arrived quickly with a full tool kit. Their instructions online were well written and had a high quality video to reinforce them. Despite all the screws and connectors being tiny, everything went off without a hitch. I did find the adhesive strips quite challenging. They were a pain to remove and reinstalling new ones did not go well but well enough that the battery is secure.
Because the ribbon cables were so small it was very hard to tell if they were attached properly so i had little confidence that the phone would switch back on again. But after plugging it into my PC, low and behold the apple symbol popped up and all the buttons worked so I guess it all went ok. I did find the spot of brownish liquid on the outside of the sealed battery. There is no sign of it anywhere else in the phone and it is clear that it did not leak out of the battery itself so I am positive it must have been this way from the factory. But why that tiny dot would disallow Apple from working on it I have no idea.
I will say that I wish the reinstall directions were a little bit more thorough than just "follow the removal instructions in reverse". But all in all it was a very good experience and one that I already have recommended to others."
"Awesome, thanks. Worked like a charm"
"iFixit has the best customer service around. I've never dealt with a company more willing to make sure you're happy than anyone else around. I love doing business with them and will continue to do so for years."
"Parts were exactly what I needed, came in a quick manner with great tracking info. Will use repeatedly!"
