"Changed battery and connectors on iphone 6s. The step by step procedure for these 2 tasks are excellent, very good pictures and explanation, easy to follow. The tools sold along with the kit are not as good quality as I was hoping. The screwdrivers bits have a lot of play inside the handle and they are not high quality made but they worked ok. I would definitely use ifixit again in the future and now it's time to see how long their battery lasts in my phone."

"The kit had everything i needed to do the battery change....except a hair dryer and dental floss. Yes, i got to the part where you remove the adhesive strips, and that did not go as planned. They recommend using a hair dryer to warm up the glue, which i did not have. They then recommended using dental floss to dislodge the battery, but I could not get that to work. Since damaging or bending the battery can result in EXPLOSIONS and FIRE, I decided to admit defeat and not burn down the building and brought it to a professional to finish the job, which he did for $20. That was well worth the money to get it done by someone who knoes what they are doing. I wasted over 90 minutes and only got 60% of the steps done. The instructions were quite good, but it is not easy to get the battery out. My advice: buy the battery from this site and bring it to someone qualified to install it or go to a professional who sells and installs batteries. "

"iFixit is awesome. Ordered a antenna flex cable for my iPhone 6. Took about a week to arrive by USPS (seems normal). Repair kit had everything I needed and was professionally packaged. The online instructions were detailed and easy to follow with plenty of pictures (although a YouTube video helped me as well). The replacement part fixed my phone and I couldn’t be happier. Only took about an hour to fix. Follow the advice I got from another reviewer: lay tape upside down on the table and place all of the screws and parts on it in the same layout as the phone. Makes reassembly a breeze."

"I enjoyed my order from iFixit; the battery was affordable, and though shipping required ground transport, the delivery was received quickly. I have been perusing the iFixit site for years, marveling at their tear-down walk-throughs and am glad I knew of them when I was gifted a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011) with a battery malfunction. What's nice is that they have as options on the product page (a) the bare-bones item only, or (b) the product with one each of the exact tools one needs when successfully following the repair guides. I found this option ("with tools") to be helpful for me, an Apple mobile workstation devotee who only requires repair once in a while.

Their stance on the "right to repair" is admirable, especially their being on the side of consumer protections and directly oppositional to Apple, Inc.'s recent moves with regard to inaccessible (sealed hardware and documentation) products, and FCC response.

Only improvement would be a sealable return mailer for proper disposal of the old battery, as I have no idea what to do with this potentially ecological-harmful item."

"I ordered a logic board and was told I’d get a shipping label and form to send my old logic board back for a $50 refund but I didn’t get it in the box so I contacted their customer support on the 2nd of September and haven’t heard back yeah I called them 4 days ago and didn’t get thru was told to leave message and they would call back . "Decided to replace both at the same time after since my battery was over 2 years old and was showing symptoms of wear. Total cost as lower than fixing it at apple store. I had leftover tools from previous fixes so I only ordered the battery & screen only. Loved their tutorial since they were very detailed and with all the gotchas they posted.
It helped immensely. Keep the parts and screws that are going back in the proper socket hole is so important!
Past videos on site were not as clear with the warnings and ruined my fix on iPhone 5 before because I wrongly put the long screw in the short screw hole.

My only complaint is that I wish they would have bundled the battery with new set of lock down tapes. I had to order them separately."

"Excellent service by Mark, Sajid and the Venezuelan lady. I would give iFixit 100/10! The iPhone6 had been left in a terrible state by my daughter. Screen loose, screws loose inside-- All expertly repaired, and repaired quickly. Then the famous Searching forever and No Signal came up a few days later. Went to see Mark and Sajid again. Within an hour they had tracked the problem to the IC card and fixed the problem. I would really recommend iFixit. So rare in this day and age to find good, honest and so so professional people who really know what they are doing. They deserve the best!"

"I ordered a screen replacement and it was very straightforward and good quality. The replacement took about 30 minutes and I am very happy with the screen, the color is good, the touch is great, really I have no issues. I recommend these screens if you are looking to replace yours without going through apple. I do not recommend the screen cover as I purchased one and I have not yet dropped my phone and somehow the edge of the protector has already chipped. It doesn't seem to be a very durable screen cover."

"Many viewers will think 62 is old, so I'm including my age in this review. I've had a home office since 1991, so am not a total novice when it comes to tech. But I can't remember ever taking the back off a computer! IFixit instructions were excellent. Two caveats: I wish there had been a small note inside the box directing me to the website for instructions. But I figured that out and they were great. After installing my battery and turning on my MacBook Air, I got the dreaded three beeps of death (have had before). Every article I found pointed to faulty RAM, cleaning RAM slots etc. I really had to dig until finding the one that struck me with, "aha, that's it". It was from a writer who recognized that the battery needed to be charged more to boot, recommending fully charging, then retrying. That's what I did, but instead of doing a combo of command option P R, (which didn't work), I used command option R with Power and I got the opening chime. It then reinstalled the OS, then reverted back to all my settings. "
