"A huge THANK YOU! to the folks at iKeyless! I purchased a used vehicle that didn\'t come with the keyless remotes. The dealer confirmed the car was equipped with a remote entry system, but wanted to charge me $75 for the remote and $45 to program it -- for a total of $120! I purchased a remote from iKeyless for $44.90 (including s/h). When it arrived, I read through the instructions and it LITERALLY took me less than one minutes (less than 60 seconds) to successfully program the remote and text it out! It almost seems criminal that a dealership would make that much profit for a one minute job!"

"Ordered two uncut transponder keys for my 2001 Toyota Camry. Order arrived promptly (3 days), had keys cut @ local locksmith who confirmed good experience with ikeyless. Followed programming instruction received with the keys and everything worked first time."

"Ikeyless is a total scam. any positive feedback must be bogus. I ordered remote fob for 2000 saab 9-5 was chrged 49.90 grand total. invoice states - 3 button remote for 2000 saab 9-5, but what i got was a generic 2 button remote with subaru paper label on it that is barelly holds together. Congratulation on a brilliant scam. i would get on it too, but the little thing called common decency wouldn't let me.
........
it sounds very familiar to me - i sound like every other website customer of yours. and no i will not ship the item back at my own expense only to get another bogus item. order#64791.
........
The final update:I was contacted by Nick from iKeyless and was told that i got the wrong order.
shortly after, i received a replacement. It was a correct, but very used in appearance, functioning
remote. it was married to the car and works now.
So was is a TOTAL scam - probably NO. They do have customer service(damage control)people you can talk to.

"I ordered a gray keyless remote for my 2003 Grand Cherokee from iKeyless. Price was right, shipping, prompt, everything was great. Until I opened the packaged to see a clearly USED keyless remote. There was no mention of the item being refurbished on the product page when I ordered. There was no mention of it being refurbished on the invoice. The only place where refurbished is mentioned in the terms and conditions. Furthermore, the words used in the terms and conditions are vague. It reads, "We sell a combination of new and refurbished remotes". This would make one think that they offer both new and refurbished remotes. The wording should read, "You may receive a new or refurbished remote at our discretion". Companies that don't list whether or not a product is refurbished on the product page or at the very least say you may get either a refurb or new item on the product page do it for a reason. They are ambiguous because they want you to think you're getting a new product so when you compare their price to others for comparable NEW products it looks like they have the best price. I don't get why they just can't take inventory of their new and refurb products and just offer two different prices and clearly list what you're getting on the product page. The silver lining is that they've gone ahead and sent out a "new" remote and a prepaid postage stamp so I can send this one back. Just in case I receive a better looking used one instead of a brand new one like I requested I have printed out the product page that has no mention of the remote being refurbished and the poorly worded terms policy if I do not get a full refund.
Response to their response:
First of all I was never offered a refund. Second of all I was told by your employee that he would go find a new one and that it would be sent out, not a better looking used one. Thirdly, the picture shown on your website does not show a remote with scratches all over it, it is indeed a picture of a new remote. Also if you know that the gray remote can only be sent used mark it as used. Furthermore if I wanted to get a refurbished remote I would've gone here http://www.keyless-remotes.com/jeep-keyless-entry-remote-2-refurbished-176?category=Remotes:Jeep:2003:Grand%20Cherokee where they clearly list it as refurbished for a cheaper price. Also that same store offers brand new ones that are clearly labeled as new http://www.keyless-remotes.com/jeep-keyless-entry-remote-2-new-175?category=Remotes:Jeep:2003:Grand%20Cherokee . In any case thank you for putting in writing that you , in fact, knew that the only gray remotes for an '03 Grand Cherokee you have are used without clearly stating it on your site and while telling me you would send me one of your new ones that you had.

"Ordered a flip key & fob for a Honda Ridgeline from this company. When received it would not work. Talked to ikeyless support who got me to dissassemble their fob and compare the FCC ID # to my existing Honda fob. Turns out they sent the wrong frequency fob. Received a replacement and this time they sent the wrong fob. They sent a 4 button instead of a 3 button. This company should change their name to iclueless rather than ikeyless. Returned the flip fob and will just buy one from the dealer. In the long run its easier and cheaper.

Response to ikeyless.com response....
No, you NEVER offered me 2-day shipping. No, you NEVER offered me 20% off anything. As a matter of fact you initially couldn't tell me if I'd be charged a restocking fee if I just returned the fob. Finally I phoned back (after being disconnected twice) and you agreed to not charge a restocking fee. You should spend less time defending yourself and more time shipping the correct product the first time. As far as a Ridgeline being unique..... last time I checked NO pickup truck had a trunk and therefore would not use a trunk release button.

Everyone on this site can't be wrong. ikeyless has a terrible reputation and rating. My suggestion to ANYONE looking for a fob is to purchase it from Honda. In the long run it is cheaper.... unless you consider your time and effort of no value.

"Update: It was a big misunderstanding. Once it was realized that a mistake was made, Nick from iKeyless promptly resend a new replacement remote keyless entry. I would not hesitate to do business with iKeyless again. I would highly recommend these folks without any reservation."

"I used the reviews here to base my decision to order from Ikeyless. They seemed to answer every comment and tried to find solutions to issues. My issue is that I specifically chatted with their technical support before ordering a key fob and transponder key for my 1997 expedition. I was specifically told that I could program the transponder key myself if I had the key cut. I indicated I only had one key and was told this was no problem. Now I received the direction it looks pretty clear that I will still need a locksmith or Gasp the dealer to program this. I can be no dealer will touch a program of a key that is not an official Ford product. This may work out in the long run as to be less expensive than just going direct to a locksmith but it non the less disappointing to have this mis communication.

UPDATE: May 24, 2010 The information on the web page was incorrect according to Nick from tech support. Only one key is required. I did not have the process included but Nick responded immediately after my post here. So I retract the comment and give them a very positive score. Especially on customer service

"At first I wasn't sure whether or not getting a remote key for my Mazda CX-9 over the internet was going to work, but I decided to go for it. And unfortunately the first key they sent me actually met all my fears. It didn't work and when I took it to the dealer, they charged me an obscene amount to tell me it didn't work. But then I contacted Jeremy at iKeyless and after hearing my attempts to make it work and that I had an existing remote that I knew worked, he sent me a label to send back the old remote and sent me a new one. Which unfortunately didn't work as well. But he gave me suggestions for new things to try to get the correct FCC code for the remote, and once I figured it out, he immediately sent me the right remote, that worked perfectly the first time I tried to program it. It might not have been a perfect experience, but what really counts wiht a company is how they deal with problems, and they get an A+ for that."

"To start with it took a full 2 weeks to get my order. Much to my dismay the product was not only used it was VERY USED. The casing had tool marks as if someone attempted to pry it open, even the screw in the back was rusted.

My advice to anyone would be don't waste your time and money look elsewhere.

"I'm aware that others have had fast service from this company, but that hasn't been my experience. I ordered a replacement key for my 2007 Murano on March 1 and received a confirmation on March 2 that it had been shipped. Today is March 15, the mailman has come and gone, and the key has not arrived. The USPS tracking system says it left Louisville,KY, on March 10, 8 days after the shipping confirmation, and is en route to the destination. I will be leaving the country for two months at the end of March, and will barely have time to use the key, if it ever arrives, since I'm flipping the car for a new one when I return. Moreover, Ikeyless doesn't seem to provide an e-mail address to contact them with my concerns, including my potentially wishing to cancel the order. This has been a frustrating experience. I found a place to contact the company and sent them a message on March 16. Meanwhile, I'll keep adding days to this review until the key arrives. March 16: no key in the mail today. March 17: no key in the mail today. March 18: no key in the mail today. March 19: no key in the mail today (and no reply to my message yet). Cut to the chase: when the key still hadn't arrived by March 22, I called Ikeyless, which had not answered my e-mail, and asked to cancel the order. The man I spoke to sounded understanding and agreed to refund my money. If the key ever arrives I'll ship it back. And I'll post a notice here when and if my refund is confirmed on my credit card.
Addendum: the refund was provided. But a day or two later, around March 24, the key arrived! The envelope was dated March 2. So maybe the fault lies not so much with Ikeyless as with the USPS. Still, this has been an unfortunate experience, primarily because the tracking system provided for this kind of mailing is not helpful. Ikeyless, once I contacted them by phone, was helpful. E-mail--less so. And the information they provide on the page describing the key re: some dealerships being willing to program the key for nothing was totally inapplicable in my case. $105 is not "nothing."

"Do not order from this company. Remotes listed for vehicle would not work and I contacted them to get RMA and they said ship them back. When credit was received they charged a 20%+ restocking fee. Great ripoff company."

"They sent me the wrong transponder key. It took me
a while to take car to dealer. Dealer said does not look like right key, I told them to cut key anyhow.
Key was too wide even to go into ignition key hole.
I sent email to ikeyless telling them of situation that if I could get a refund(key was cut so it was good to no one. They replied and gave me a return number. Within a week I had my credit. Thanks IKEYLESS
