NJ-VK: Very Dissappointed

"I am very disappointed with the customer service. I returned a product and the cost of shipping was as much as the product. The product did not fit the purpose I needed it for and was a safety hazard hence I had to return it. I have purchased items from other vendors who have treated me far better. The company simply says that they cannot do anything and they need me to burden the whole shipping cost which costs as much as the price of the product. If they had charged me for the shipping that it would've cost them it would have been cheaper given volume discounts they get. This would have been the least they could do. People make mistakes, usually I rarely return items I buy but this was an exception. Instead they did not want to support the customers in anyway. Simply the most horrible customer service experience I have dealt with and I have dealt with a number of them...will never recommend them or do business with them in the future..."

"if you find yourself on the line or instant messaging with monoprice I'm sure your experience will be pleasant but if you are talking with Ryan your experience will be great. all I needed was a part but he insisted that replacing the entire unit was what he reccomend. hes just one of them rare people that actually give a crap about their job, oh and he speaks perfect English. but even before him, every since my first monoprice purchase if I'm in the market for something and they happen to make one I buy it from them because I know it will be a good product and if something does happen they make it right. and as always, shipping is super fast. "

"After being told by Chris M. from customer service that nothing could be done about an error using a coupon code, I was very disappointed with the lack of assistance and poor communication. However, soon all was right as rain when manager Paul Sarkis contacted me and when above and beyond. My faith in Monoprice has been restored.

Did not receive reply to 4 E-mails sent

"I sent 4 E-mails without any reply. Check my Junk folder still nothing. I used their chat service. after 10 minutes I finally connected to someone. I found the day after placing my order there was a 20% discount Promo GMA2018. I wanted promo applied to my order. The Girl I chatted with said it did not applied to my order. I told her when I put all the items in my cart that day and applied the promo it discounted the items I purchased by 20%. She then said I would receive an E-mail from one of there reps by E-mail. Have not received an E-mail. Horrible Customer Service.

I did receive my 20%. A Monoprice manager contacted me and applied 20% to my order. Thank you Paul.

"very fast delivery, I was suprise to find out that, guider || was almost exacly the same machine as yours or the opposite, but anyway , your product give me what I was expected, I new in this 3d printhing, I found the software really hard to find a simply one to work with
your people answer me, right away, and the answer was ok, I will see in the future
if your help to me will be as I expected
I will give you some news in 2 to 3 weeks about the 300 d

Great Experience

"I purchased a Monoprice Select 3D Printer. I couldn't have been more pleased from the moment of opening the box, to printing my first 3D print. Everything worked perfectly. I used chat the following day on their site to ask a few questions. The chat operator was patient and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. I haven't stopped printing since.

Overall I highly recommend Monoprice.

Frustrating customer service experience

"I placed an order for an RCA cable and subwoofer cable since Best Buy wanted to charge an arm and a leg. I paid extra for expedited shipping and the price still came out under what a local store wanted to charge me. However, the order never made it to my house. Upon calling customer service inquiring where my order was, the representative stated that it was delivered the day after I put the order in and that it was signed by a name that does not match mine. The representative stated that I should ask around to see if someone else signed for it, except I'm the only one that lives in my house. They then stated that they would have to escalate my claim to a supervisor in order to have my case reviewed in order to proceed with a replacement order. I never got a follow up email with a claim ID. I ended up doing a charge back through Amex because this whole process is taking way too long and is way too frustrating given the representative was insistent that it was delivered to my address. I used to order from these guys from time to time, but I think in the future I'll just find a vendor likely on Amazon for the same price and a prooven track record of delivering to the right address "

A great e-tailer

"I have been a Monoprice customer for three years and have had an overall fantastic experience. Their product pricing is at least competitive and in many cases way lower than competing e-tailers. I have purchased several guitars (and a ukulele!), LED lighting fixtures, LED lanterns, headphones, TV wall mounts (way lower than big box stores) and various cables in various lengths just to mention a few items.
Early on I had to return an electric guitar which was not set up very well and encountered absolutely no hassle. The day they received the return guitar the shipped the replacement (which WAS set up correctly and continues to perform.)

"I recently purchased two glass iPhone protectors. When they arrived, one was already cracked. I contacted Monoprice Customer Service and they instantly helped me begin the exchange process. The process was easy to understand and quick. I was notified after a day that I would receive my placement in less than a week. Monopriced was offered another chance and they nailed it! Must Read!!

"I've known Monoprice for some time now and they are usually very competitive in pricing when it comes to things like HDMI cables. I didn't make enough purchases to find out how their customer service is, but I can now say with confidence that it's above and beyond excellent (once you get to the right channel). Apparently I made an order w/the wrong cable length it arrived in 3ft instead of 6th that I originally thought I had ordered. I'll admit it's my fault for not double checking at checkout, but improvements could have been made especially it's product selections such as color/length/etc and product description such as bold text the importance. So I called customer service and had a 10min talk with a rep. Despite she was courteous and all, she was not able to find a resolution that I'd be happy with, despite hearing my side of the story and understand that I'll give Monoprice another try by placing another order for the correct length cables. Few hours later after I ended the call, I received an automated email survey for my previous contact with Monoprice, and fortunately someone from the team read what I had commented and actually understood the situation. The rep provided the absolute correct solution in order to gain the trust of their semi-new loyal customer :-) Thank you! Thus going forward, Monoprice.com will always be considered along with other top leading shopping sites when making purchases."

Customer Service Comes Through!

"I’ve bought numerous hdmi and iphone cables, and headphones through the years through Monoprice, taking advantage of their low prices. But what good are low prices if things break?

What sets Monoprice apart from the competition is their dedication for customer satisfaction. They are resposive and thorough in resolving any issues. In my case, it’s sending out a new iphone lightning cable that became frayed over the years.

That kind of service makes me a happy customer who recommends their products to any who will listen.
