Cheap Product

"Save yourself the trouble DO NOT buy from Newchic. I purchased online. I would of never purchased if I had seen the items at any store. All the positive reviews must be FAKE! I read their reviews before making my purchase and to my surprise - I was extremely disappointed! The quality of the product is the worst. I am not even giving away the 3 pairs of shoes I bought. I would be too embarrassed. So have to take my loss and toss them. I ordered some "leather upper" red booties BIG lie not leather upper. They feel like plastic. Too bad they looked beautiful online. I ordered some brown suade wanna be boots. They seriously feel like paper and the sole looks like it got splashed with oil drops. It doesn't even look black it looks graying-old. I also bought some cute pink booties with a bow made from "suade" they are so cheap. Too bad their styles are cute BUT the quality is horrible. RETURNS forget it. I contacted the telephobe number and the connection was hortible besides their English speaking ability. Once I was finally able to have the person answering the phones to understand me -she agreed to email me the information for returns and of course SHE DIDN'T. ANOTHER thing it will cost me close to the same amount I paid to return their Crap, so I seriously WILL NEVER order any product from China without first touching the merchandise. YOU'VE been ADVISED. I wish I would have read real reviews prior to purchasing. Newchic has poor quality product. I provided all my information requested on this review INCASE they wish to contact me but doubt they'll care."

Forget about Returns and Refunds!!

"Alright friends... here's a warning to the wise, NEVER EVER order products from NEWCHIC! The place is located in China, the customer service is live chat only in broken English and understanding, their stuff is constantly backordered and when they finally ship it to you, expect arrival "7-20 day not including weekends or holidays"...or bumps in the road, or full moon, or inclement weather. Oh and by the way, don't get crazy and think you might get a refund of the package that's 20 days late and that you don't want any more, sorry, you'll have to PAY TO SHIP IT BACK TO CHINA YOURSELF, then they'll issue you a refund minus the difference!! The pictures on their Facebook Ads are really cute, their customer service is ugly!!!"

Expected much worse.

"I didn't know this company was in China. I ordered spur of the moment from an ad for their good looking men's leather loafer. There wasn't information about the kind of leather but for $32 the photo looked really good. They are really good but I'm pretty sure it's microfiber leather. Microfiber leather actually looks exactly like expensive leather and is soft, durable and doesn't scuff easily. I wouldn't wear cheap looking shoes. These are sharp looking. The sole is rubber and looks a little cheap but that's how American rubber soles look too. After ordering I read horrible reviews from disappointed customers. I expected the worse but the shoes are great and very comfortable. The stitching looks good and secure. Ordered Nov 20. Back ordered for two weeks. I got discouraged but they emailed me that they were ready to ship. They came Dec 28. I didn't need them for Christmas. I might order another pair."

SCAM!!!!

"Company is a scam!!!! They subscribe to "Google Ads" for attention. I ordered from their Google Ad banner and heard nothing from them within 4 days. No order confirmation, no nothing. So I checked my credit card and saw they had billed me for the item I ordered 4 days prior. I tried to contact company, which is in Hong Kong and no USA #, so I emailed them...no response...tried "Live Chat" since they never provoded me with an order number, they had no record of my order. So they wanted a screen shot of my credit card billing transaction...I sent them that....They then blocked my IPA so that I can no longer contact them.
My CC company has "blocked them" and returned my money.

EDITED 12/27/2017.......LIve Chats posted and both show...no such order under name or email.Never received an Order# anyway. Email requests for HELP never responded to

"I ordered an item at the end of November to arrive before Christmas and although it took its time making its way through Royal Mail, new chic kept reassuring me it would arrive and it did. They answered every email message I sent within 12 hours and I felt they were as thorough as they could be, good product too."

This is a serious online shop, if you are not in a rush.

"The items offered are of good quality, affordable, and unlike anything you will see in a ordinary shop.
There are issues when you choose your size (eg. underwear) and you should be extra careful not to pick something too small. Better take one size larger (eg. L (EU) if you think you are M (EU)) than being sorry. Read carefully because the sizing of each brand might be different.
Be patient: delivery time can be very random (from 2 weeks to 7 weeks in my case). So far I am happy with the products I have received, even if the some of my very first clothes I had ordered were really too small.

Where is the product?

"I called today to ask where the boots are that I ordered for my daughter for Christmas. I paid extra for expedited shipping so that I would be able to get it in time for Christmas. The agent that talked to me was nice, but was no help in what I needed to know. She said the shipping carrier was with DHL and I couldn't track the package like Federal Express and UPS. Is that insane? Why not? If it is such a global carrier why can't my package be tracked? I know now that there is no way I will have my daughter's boots in time that I ordered for Christmas. The company does not tell you up front that it is located in China and it would take a long time to get to America. if I had any idea I would have not ordered at all. I think Better Business Bureau needs to know about this company if so many of us have done business and it has not been up to standard. I will update later when and if the boots come in. I gave them 70.00 and will be watching how they handle this. I may change the rating IF I get what I asked them for. Stay tuned....."

Avoid This Vendor Like the Plague

"I recently purchased 14 clothing items on Newchic.com. I hadn't received an order confirmation or shipping notice after two weeks, although the PayPal charge had been posted to my credit card account. I contacted them about the order status and was informed that two items were backordered and they didn't know when they'd be available. They were holding the entire order until an unknown date, along with holding my money! I told them to cancel those items, credit my account for the cost and proportionate shipping and proceed with the order. They issued a partial credit, shorting me by $7, but I decided to let it go.

I had followed their warnings and carefully measured myself and looked at size charts (inconsistent) for each item. Two items that were sent were much too small. I was told that to get a refund I had to send them a picture of the tape measure measuring myself, and pictures of the items flat with the tape measure across the items showing the small measurements and pictures of the SKU and barcodes and of the labels on the packaging. It seemed ridiculous, but I did as they requested. I showed them that both articles were 8-10 inches smaller around than the website stated. Of a $35.06 charge, they offered me a $15 refund and said I could keep the items. I told them that the articles were too small and therefore useless to me; and that since I had complied with their demands, they should comply with their web site's full refund promise. Meanwhile, I checked the cost of mailing the items back to China. The cheapest postage was $22.70. I told them I wanted a full refund for the items, plus postage. They absolutely refused. I don't think I should have to lose money because of their errors. I have 41 e-mails between New Chic's customer service department and myself. They wore me down and gave me a refund of $29.05, less than the cost of the two items, and no consideration for all the postage that I'd paid for delivery. They negotiated until I was "blue in the face." When THEY unilaterally decided negotiations were done, they issued the not-agreed upon refund to my PayPal account.

The website measurements on the size charts for these items still, two weeks later, have not been corrected. Do NOT buy from Newchic.com. Their items are cute and reasonably priced, not well made, but okay for casual wear. But they do not comply with their own refund policy, even after I went through taking and sending pictures they requested. That was a hassle because their website did not accept files large enough to handle photos. We finally managed to send them to an alternate website. They are dishonest. They have cheated me and lied to me, and through 41 e-mails, cost me a lot of time and aggravation. They are a really bad business. I hope no one supports them and that they go out of business.

Takes money and doesn't ship product

"I am not impressed . . . I ordered on 9/29, as of 12/20 I still hadn't received shipment, nor any contact from the company of when my order might ship. I contacted the company via chat and wasn't offered any apology. I was just told I could get a refund in 72 hours, so I hope they do that, but I cannot recommend this company. If something is not in stock, there should be an estimate of when it will be available, not just have them sit on my money for months. I think the customer service is pathetic -- at the very least I should have been updated about when it will ship, or offered a refund when it wasn't available within a month."

Still Waiting & Where Is Customer Service???

"I placed an order a month ago and still have not gotten anything or updates. I tried contacting customer service on their page that says supposably “contact us” by telling them to cancel my order and give my money back. Still haven’t heard a thing and they have no phone number or email address. Very horrible site. I don’t understand how people are satisfied with this site."

Great Customer Service

"I ordered two pairs of shoes for my mom. When they arrived, they were too big for her, so I contacted customer service to let them know. I wasn't expecting that anything would be done because the shoes came all the way from China and the customer service rep said it would cost more to ship the shoes back than would be worth it.

I was wrong. New Chic's kind, patient, and understanding customer service representative patiently instructed me how to measure for a more correct size. Then, she told me to donate both pair of shoes that were too big, and she would send smaller sizes to my mother. Which she did!

My experience with New Chic's customer service representative was very positive and I would recommend highly New Chic's products.

"I ordered 8 bras following the size conversion chart precisely. None fit. I inquired about returning them and was told there is NO return policy. This company is a fraud! Not worth wasting your time not money on."

Order with caution

"Two hats ordered Nov. 1 & delivered Nov. 22. One was too small, and the other hat’s ear flaps didn’t lie flat. These were gifts and the recipient was not pleased with either one, so I contacted the company to initiate a return for refund. I was aware that I would be responsible for the cost of return shipping, since the hats were “as ordered” and not technically defective. I contacted NewChic to initiate the return, and this was their polite reply:
“We feel sorry to explain that if we sent you the item as you ordered ( without visible quality problem or size problem caused by us ) and you want to return it to us, then you need return it to China and pay for the freight of returning. Considering the expensive cost of freight, we suggest you keep this item or send it to your friends. And we can apply to refund you 300 points as compensation, Can you accept it ? Sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope for your kind understanding.”
It was going to cost at least $32 to return ship the items and get a refund of under $50. I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and possibly having to fight to get the refund once the items were returned.
Bottom line: The items were a disappointment, and while the company has a reasonable return policy, it wasn’t really of any use. I would avoid ordering anything with a high likelihood of needing to be returned for any reason other than being defective, in which case the company would pay for return shipping.
