Travelex is saving a lot of money not allowing their customers to establish one account to log into online. "

"Last month (March 2019) my wife and I began what was supposed to be a two-week vacation in Thailand. Two days after arriving in Bangkok, I was diagnosed with double pneumonia and was hospitalized there for 13 days. The physician required me to rest a few days after discharge before allowing us to fly back to the US. When we returned we filed a carefully documented trip interruption claim for about $10,000 with Travelex on April 9. (An arm of the insurance, On Call International, had already taken care of the hospital bill - quickly and completely, much to our amazement.) Travelex responded the very next day (!) with an email saying that we would receive a check covering nearly the entirety of our claim. (We are still waiting to hear about one small aspect of the claim.) We received that check today (April 16). Fortunately we have filed very few insurance claims of any kind over our 70+ years, but all of the others have involved initial denials of claims, seemingly unending hassles, etc., before we finally received compensation. This has been a truly extraordinary experience. We will definitely use Travelex for all of our future travel insurance needs."

"It was very easy to navigate their website and buy a travel insurance policy. The price couldn't be beat....I compared them with many companies before buying. The thing that helped my decision most was that unlike other big travel insurance companies, this company had great ratings on the consumer affairs website while the other companies had tons of complaints. Also the amount of coverage I was able to get for the money I paid was great. Other companies wanted more than double what I paid for the same policy. I haven't traveled yet and haven't had any reason to file a claim, but I anticipate based on their reviews that it would be relatively stress free. "

We value your feedback regarding easier access with filling out policy applications online and will certainly forward your suggestions to the appropriate party for consideration. In the meantime, we do have a Customer Solutions department at 1-800-228-9792 Monday- Friday 8am-7pm CST.
The Customer Solutions Representatives (CS Rep) can clone past policies, which automatically saves the previous traveler information. The CS Rep can easily remove and or add travelers for each trip as well as enter the specific data for a trip, quickly. You can then choose to either purchase the policy over the phone with the CS Rep, or they can email you a quote. The quote will have all the traveler information and a link to Buy It Online, if you wish to review the plan details prior to purchasing.
Regarding your questions about the “retrieve my documents” link, this link allows you to obtain the policy details, which are the same for any traveler that purchased the same type of policy. These documents are not a Confirmation of Coverage for your benefits. At the present time, in order to get your Confirmation of Coverage on past policies you would need to contact the Customer Solutions department at customersolutions@travelexinsurance.com.
