My Experience

"I had some ups and downs with the booking reservations. When I booked the reservation, I thought I was getting an amazing deal. When I checked out the price was higher then I expected. They charged taxes which I did not expect. I called into customer service, I had to hold for about a min before an agent talked to me. They explained that the company had to collect taxes for the parking lot. I thought that Way owned all the parking locations. They explained that they do not and just sell the spaces for the parking owners. They let me know that they had a 25% lowest price guarantee and if I find a lower price they will match it and refund me. I went to other websites but this was the lowest. I booked it. A frustrating aspect was I wanted to change the hours when I was to come in for the reservation but the system would not allow that. When I checked in the process was easy. I showed them my reservation on my phone and was told to show it to the agent when I am leaving and we will be good. All went well but wish their interface had more features.

DO NOT USE THEM - SCAM

"I booked and paid for covered parking for a 19 day trip on June. During my trip I received an email with a new invoice that contained a different parking company, address, and much higher rate than what I had originally paid so I assumed that there was some mistake. I wrote to the way.com customer service and let them know to please not charge my MC with this higher amount since I had already parked my vehicle at the original booking location and already paid. I also included my original confirmation and invoice to the email.
When I went to pick up my car after traveling over 24 hours with two small children, the parking garage said that the parking was not paid for and had been canceled. I had to contact way.com at that time and they said that they cancelled the parking. I said that they cancelled the incorrect reservation and if they could please rectify the bill so that I could retrieve my vehicle. They were not going to help me in any way even though they screwed up and I ended up paying the garage directly the full amount in the end.
Also, the car was not parked in a covered garage as I reserved.

STAY AWAY - Terrible experience with no customer service

"Just recently used them in SeaTac (Seattle/Tacoma airport). Would NEVER use them again.

Way.com booked us at a parking lot they are no longer partnered with. Their customer service is non-existent, which is horrible considering I was calling them to fix *their* mistake. I called their customer service line at 1 PM on a Thursday and nobody was there to take the call. Just got a recorded message telling me to resolve any issues online.

Ultimately any kind of customer service issues had to be emailed to a general support email, which is only email address for anyone in the entire company. I finally got a reply back, and it's from someone who either ignored everything I said or didn't really understand English as the responses to my emails made little to no sense. I wasted about 5 emails back and forth to accomplish nothing.

Apparently the only way to get a real response was to write a negative review online, and even then, they did nothing to make things right other than finally agree to refund my payment to them (which takes 5-7 business days). We ended up paying the difference at the lot, which cost us about an extra $20 for a 4 day trip with tax. Way.com is a major headache which just ends up costing you precious time and effort for nothing in return.

They cannot make a change... within minutes of making the reservation I called to fix a different arrival time... a TIME... and they couldn't do it! They say one thing and I call back and it is another! They said they needed to cancel my reservation and I would need to rebook and pay again!! I hope I get my money back... oh by the way they said 5-7 business days!

Great service!

"I have used these types of services in the past. I travel in Los Angeles a great deal. It is always a challenge to get good pricing in the summer time. The lots that I normally use were full but tried Value Park in LA this last trip. The agent was very nice at check-in. He actually told me the best place to park in the garage. The shuttle was there in about 10 min. It was the driver’s birthday and was super happy. Pick-up took about 20 min but the airport was extremely busy. I flew in on a Friday night. The shuttle was full but had a seat. The checkout process was very fast. Three cars in front of me but the employee was fast. As a business traveler was very happy with the booking process and Value Parking. I will go to Value Park from now on if there is space."

SFO Parking Experience

"I have never used online reservations for parking before.

The Way.com website seemed easy to navigate. I saw that parking in San Francisco would cost $9.99 per day. I booked my five days for our vacation, but when the total came up it had about $15.00 in taxes and fees. This brought the total more then I thought. It was difficult to navigate around to change times and dates.

I did end up booking and got an email in 30 seconds outlining my reservation (very fast) it had the dates and address with a barcode. When I got to the lot I just had to scan the barcode and the gate opened up. The shuttle service was fast and good. When we landed we had to wait about 15 min for the shuttle to show up. I had to remember to look for the hotel shuttle. Check out was easy, I scanned the code but since I was 1 hour late the gate made me pay 12.99 for just one hour. That seems unfair but when I called Way they told me in the future I should add time on each end of my reservation to prevent this and it usually does not cost anything. I guess I predicted to tight

F Rating BBB and Insurance Fraud?!

"I tried to park after making a reservation on Way.com. The lot rejected me and when I called Way.com multiple times no one answered. What a scam.

They have an F rating with the BBB and their business manager, Matt Skinner, is under investigation for insurance fraud of $4 million and facing 34 counts of felony.

DO NOT USE WAY PARKING!

"We booked on line to park near LAX and were given an address by email. When we arrived there was no one there and 3 cars that were trying to leave were honking their horns to get someone to open the gate. Finally someone came from across the street to let us in and process the others to exit. The sign says to scan your email to get in because if you take a ticket you will be charged hourly but the scanner doesn't work for both entry and departure! We went to the shuttle and waited to go to the airport. It was 3/4 full. After 30 minutes we asked the driver when we are going to the airport. He said after the bus is completely full! After 15 more minutes a couple arrives and he drives to the airport. There is no scheduled shuttle service and they only operate from 6am to 10pm!
When we arrived back at LAX it was 8pm and we called for a shuttle. After 30 minutes we asked when a shuttle was coming but did not get a specific answer. After 45 minutes we tried calling they refused to answer the phone. After waiting more than an hour we took a taxi to the parking lot. Again there were cars trying to get out and no one to open the gate. I went to the office and told the clerk I would be right back to talk about the shuttle and phone issues. After getting our car the clerk left and locked up the office!
Please use a reputable company like Joe's parking. While waiting for Way I counted 12 Joe's shuttles picking up people at LAX.
