Customer charged for poor quality control

"Zulily is charging me $8.95 to return a product that was sized incorrectly. They exchanged it once but again sent a product that was labeled the wrong size. I'm baffled that they take no responsibility for poor quality control and seem to care less about a customer's opinion. The company attitude is cavalier at best. I would NOT recommend buying from Zulily. Save yourself a lot of frustration."

I will not be using Zulily again.

"This is the worst online shopping experience I've had. It takes months to get your merchandise. There is no option for returns and the quality is never what is pictured. Horrible customer service, with no real way to seek help/assistance. How they stay in business is a mystery to me. DON'T bother shopping here! "

Horrible company

"They send me shoes that were sized incorrectly. When I asked for an exchange , they told me to return and they’d give me a credit minus $8.95 handling fee. That leaves me with $1.04! SCAM! "

Will buy again , overall it is a good place to buy

"bought few times and overall very happy
the quality of the product are very good
the posting time very slow otherwise it would have been 5 starts but then again they charge very low postal fee compare to other shopping sites
the sizing is usually good only 1 mismatch out of many , not sure if i going to try to return it or not because of the hassle involved , I read the other comments about returns and its bad but not as bad as other sites that give you nothing ore hassle you,
as i see it buying cloth online is risky business , the price is so much better then in the real shops but there is always a chance of mismatch.
for me 1 bad item out of 20 is acceptable even 1 out of 10 .
I recently bought 7 items from Milanoo.com and only one out of 7 was as described and the return policy is shocking bad .
I will buy again in Zulily

No return policy and poor quality,nothing like pictured items

"I was really pleased with my first order. Unfortunately that's where it pretty much ended I ordered dozens of items and out of them all I am pleased with four. Their no return policy should have told me to be aware. The one item I really wanted was horrible, way to big and not at all like the picture portrayed . I didn't mind the wait but the quality is awful. My med size dresses fit my mother that wears a 1x and way to long. Very displeased. I will be giving almost all of my orders away as gifts. Wish the company would have been a winner but a loser in my opinion. I don't see how they could rebuild any kind of good rep. They won't be around long. Customers matters, will make you or break you. You should know that zulliy."

Poor quality

"I’ve been ordering from this company and are very disappointed with there returns policy....you only get a store credit when making returns....this forces you to keep buying and throwing your money out the door.
You have to pay the return shipping as well as pay shipping charges when you order. It takes weeks to get the product and when you finally do it’s poor quality... totally NOT WORTH the aggravation and money spent....stay away.....

ZULILY IS AMAZING

"I have used Zulily for years now - to buy anything from shoes, dresses, tops, swimmers - and everything has arrived promptly, and has fitted perfectly. The site is easy to navigate and has a wonderful selection of products - not just women's wear - but manchester, home wares etc. LOVE the site and browse quite often. In fact, has been my go-to for almost all of my clothing for the past 5 years!"

4 weeks later, still no merchandise

"I think I could order directly from China and get my order quicker, and I would actually receive them. They wouldn’t be in a perpetual “enroute to Zulily” state. Never will I order from them again as I can go to Gordmans, Marshall’s/Homegoods or TJ Maxx for the same stuff and prices."

What’s going on?

"I’ve been shopping extensively with Zilily for some time. I loved the merchandise and the prices. Even though they didn’t “accept” returns, they always returned my money AND sometimes gave me a credit bonus for my trouble. Sadly, all this has changed; now you have to pay $8.95 PER item to return it, even if each item is in the same order! If the sizes of the clothing is off or the quality poor (which is commonplace now) it’s still the customer’s responsibility to pay for the return. The other change is the wait when calling customer service, which use to be short. I had to call back on several different days because I was on hold over 15 minutes. What a shame... Zulily WAS my favorite place to shop. :("

Terrible customer service!

"I have been a devoted Zulily customer since 2013.
Recently I received an item where I was overcharged. Several e-mails and no resolution.
Now I am beyond frustrated with the poor service to the point that I will not make another purchase.
What happened to Zulily?

Inconsistent Quality and expensive returns

"I have shopped with them for over two years And in the last six months the quality is so poor that I tthink they are dealing in 2nds. Even brands I’m familiar with show up and either don’t fit or don’t work properly. "

Please don't waste your time and money!

"I feel bad for vendors who are using Zulily to sell their merchandise. I have just ordered some items for the first time and in returning them have discovered that their "return" policy is ridiculous. You just cannot compete in the online marketplace with a business model like this. They are ensuring no repeat business.
Some items are eligible for return but their return policy is a store credit. THAT part was not obvious in the return information on the product page = very shady.
I also paid for my own shipping because wait for it, they wanted to deduct $17.50 for me to return 6 small kids items. Really? Again, shady.
So they ended up issuing me with a store credit minus $17.50 that they did not pay for. I emailed CS 3 times to try clear it up but clearly their CS is trained to just push back.
I got permission from their CS to pay for my own return shipping so that at least should be honored. I have ended up lodging a dispute with my CC co. Which **** for them bc I know in retail charge backs are expensive ($35). Will absolutely never do business with again.

They get it right little more than half the time.

"I’ve been shopping with Zulily since 2014. When I first started shopping with them they had a very boutique feel. Unique items good quality, great deals. Shipping has always been a downside from day one. They’re pretty clear that shipping takes a while so I’ve always known to only order things well in advance if it’s needed for a certain occasion.
For years I’ve never worried about the quality of the items. They we re pretty consistent with decent quality items. And I’ve ordered literally anything you can think of.
Once I ordered a set of dishes. I loved them and we still use them to this day. When the package arrived I could here the jingling of glass. One of the large plates had broken. I called Zulily immediately and they refunded the money, no hesitation.
But something has happened over the last year or so. The quality has become extremely inconsistent. While some deals are great and also some products, there is a huge area of very poor quality merchandise. It’s mainly clothing and it’s extremely obvious that these, even with the deals, are not worth the price. Which leads us to they’re return policy. Back before there was a product quality issue their non existent return policy didn’t matter. But now that they’re inundated with very poor quality made in China products the return policy has become very much needed and it ****.
It seems to me that they’re just accepting any “shop” that’s willing to sell items at a discount without properly vetting them. I hope they turn it around and they can. But for now, BUYER BEWARE.

Size of dress did not match size on packaging!

"I ordered a dress for my granddaughter which took forever to arrive and when it finally arrived it was too big. The dress tag said it was a size 7-8 and the package said size 5-6."
