"My employer uses Express Scripts as its pharmacy manager. If I don't use them (and instead go to a local pharmacy) I must pay significatnly more. I get that. But why then when a doctor's office e-files a prescription on the 25th, does Express Scripts expect to ship on the 3rd? Why does it take 9 days to ship (and up to 14 to receive) needed medications? I could have had a dose the night of the doctor visit if I could fill locally. Why does Express Scripts tell you it's time to reorder a refill, then send you a letter they can't fill the order because it's too early, and send the product? Drug management on the website is difficult to say the least. Crappy site designed by programmers with little human factors testing. My mom uses Express Scripts for Medicare Part D and she can't navigate the website. Finally, customer service is not good. Express Scripts calls me all the time to check my shipping address (we have lived here for 20 years), or to inform me that they have information about my orders. When I call the rep says I have to talk to my doctor. I'm somewhat likely to shop here because I have to!"
"Not sure why this store has such a poor rating. We ordered 4 units of a somewhat hard to find nutritional supplement despite the ratings. Had the credit card company on speed dial just in case things did not work out. The order arrived today (48 hours). Prices were very competitive as well. We would not hesitate to re-order when the time comes."
"Systematic Art has a great selection and prices on items to hang art. We are happy with the hardware we purchased and with their willingness to negotiate shipping terms. If you want an elegant artwork wall hanging solution, please consider Systematic Art."
"The Vak Shack sells vacuum packaging supplies for sous vide cooking and long-term storage. They are a bit slow to respond to inquiries, but their price for external clamp (as opposed to chamber) machine bags is good. The line of external sealers they sell (the Minipack Cyclone models) are well priced and very robust. I've been scared once or twice that I wouldn't receive a delivery, but they always come through. Better customer service and communication would quickly make this a 5-star company."
"I placed an order for 4 pounds of premium artisanal cheese on Saturday 10/22/11 at a cost of $75 including $15 shipping.
On Tuesday 10/25/11, I received delivery of my order.
On Wednesday 10/26/11 I received an email from Zulay Perez stating that my credit card was declined. I called immediately to resolve, thinking that artisanal cheese shipped a perishable product to an existing customer.
I was pleased by the customer service. I gave artisanal cheese a secondary credit card number. Sometimes, one-time use numbers obtained online from the larger credit card vendors are declined for bogus reasons.
Then, the next day, I received a duplicate shipment. So, I ended up with 8# of cheese.
I emailed Zulay, and ****@****, ****@****, ****@**** etc asking what I can do to prevent future duplicate orders.
I asked three times. No one has responded. Given the product prices artisanal charges, and the high shipping costs, I would patronize Whole Foods for premium chesses and avoid artisanalcheese.com.
11/09/14 UPDATE
Seems a lot of folks on the cheese-of-the-month plan were burned by non-delivery over the last several months. I received an email from the company today proclaiming they have relocated to New York's Hudson Valley and are taking orders again. Really? My questions are will Artisanal fill these orders? Has Artisanal established a decent customer service department? Prices on the new website remain on the (very) high side, many quoted prices are for a 1/2 pound. I would still recommend purchasing from local stores rather than taking a chance on Artisanal not shipping, and absorbing high shipping costs for a perishable product."
"We have two dogs on a prescription medication twice a day that can be very expensive when we obtain the drug from the veterinarian. We have six dogs total. I’m all for supporting our veterinarian practices. But the cost differential for drugs bothers me. Especially given our number of dogs.
I ordered (through the vet) a prescription for two dogs from ValleyVet.com. The price of the drug was very competitive. ValleyVet.com offers free shipping on orders over $60. Yet they shipped Priority Mail! I ordered on 08/16 and the USPS website shows delivery is scheduled for today 08/18.
That is stellar service. I hope to rely on ValleyVet.com for future veterinary supplies."
"eFoodDepot is a total sham company. I placed an order for a wide variety of goods, and after waiting for the delivery, I contacted them via email. No answer.
So I called them, and the "machine" plays a sham message. Avoid eFoodDepot.com at all cost.
I have instructed them to cancel the transaction.
I have also instructed my credit card company to cancel the transaction."
"I ordered a hot air curling wand from mysalonbrand.com. After a week, I asked about the delivery. No response. After two weeks, I asked. To date (now over three weeks from the order) no response. I emailed a cancellation because no one answered the phone when I called. This is a shadow vendor. Avoid them at all costs."
"This is the third time drugstore.com has botched the charge information and stopped the order. This medication is for a serious chronic illness, and one cannot abruptly stop the meds. Worse, it's a standing order with automatic refills. I will stop using this company as soon as I can get a new prescription."
