"Ordered a scope that's been difficult to procure from any store, so I had to wait for 2.5 months. Scott kept me updated, checked in to see if I still wanted the scope when it was coming in, and he worked with me on shipping because I was about the leave the country on vacation. Communication was always quick, shipping was great, and I'd go back to Liberty Optics in the future."
"Wow. I didn't read their reseller reviews before ordering...
It was my first time ordering from SG, and I didn't have any problems at all. I bought a Voodoo Tactical 36-inch padded weapons case from them for a very good price. There's some talk on firearms forums about this deal, and I was happy to jump in on the deal. I found a discount coupon on the Web without too much effort, and the bag showed up in less than a week. It was in a box that was big enough for probably 3 bags, and the rest of the box was stuffed with paper.
I'm happy.
The day before my bag showed up, someone in a firearms forum was complaining that his (larger version) bag showed up with no straps from SG... twice."
"Wasn't sure about Sleepyheads.com because I've never heard of them and they have no reviews on the Web that I can find. What they do have is a specific clothing item in the size that I need... and they are the only ones that I could find that have it in the size that I need! The same item on Karmaloop costs 3X less!!! ...but Karmaloop doesn't have the size that I need.
I received an email confirmation immediately after placing my order, but I never got a shipping notification. Five days after my order, I sent Sleepyheads an email to ask if my stuff had shipped. I was very happy to get a quick response with a tracking number!
My stuff from Sleepyheads arrived faster than my Karmaloop order because Sleepyheads uses a hybrid UPS/USPS system which is faster than UPS Ground. In the end, I'm happy despite paying 3X more than what Karmaloop was asking for the same item.
Hint: If you browse around on the Sleepyheads Web site for a while, discount codes pop up. Write them down so you can choose which one makes sense for you at check-out."
"I've ordered twice from Karmaloop in the past few months; once through their Amazon storefront and once directly from their Web site. Both times, I've been very happy with the professional service, the quick shipping, and the follow-up email to let me know that my stuff has shipped (along with tracking number).
I signed up for their emails, and they send a lot of discount codes. Their prices are good to begin with, but the discount codes are totally appreciated!"
What's good rumpletzer, Thanks so much for your review! The KL fam appreciates it! Hit me with a quick email and I can offer you a new discount for your next purchase just for spreading the good word about Karmaloop! sydney@karmaloop.com, thanks again!
"Most of my orders have been done using a Gap VISA card, and most of my orders have been for children's clothing for friends who are overseas and want me to bring them stuff. This means: (1) there are a lot of discounts and promotions that go along with the Gap card. If you want something, you only have to wait a week or two before a 20 to 40% promotion pops up. Never pay full price! (2) I don't wear any of these clothes, and the kids who do wear them grow out of them in a year or less so I really can't speak a lot about fit, comfort or quality.
I've been very happy with my orders, though. They take a few days to ship the stuff, but it's not a big deal to me. Some stuff shows up by UPS and some stuff by USPS. It usually takes 7 to 10 days from when I order, and that doesn't seem unreasonable at all.
I recently ordered the wrong size for one item and realized my mistake a few hours later. I called up the service number and the lady was very nice. She said that the order had already been sent to the warehouse, so she had no way to stop it. She offered me a few options, and one of them was to order the correct size and she'd send it to me for free. She also applied the 20% discount that I had on my original order. She told me to take the item that I don't want back to a Gap store and I could get a refund. That's what I did, and it seemed pretty easy to me.
I'm pretty happy with the whole online Gap shopping thing. I get better discounts online, the selection/availability is better than the brick and mortar stores, and it's convenient for me."
"I've never heard of this store before and they have no reviews, but (1) their Web site is very service and family-business oriented, (2) they participate on some shoe-related forums and have decent feedback from that community, and (3) I was able to order a pair of boots in an irregular size through their Web site when I couldn't find it anywhere else. I'm glad that I took the chance because I got my boots, and I got a great price.
I placed the order for my boots late on a Friday or Saturday night, and I was surprised to get a response the next day from a real person to let me know that they had received my order. On Monday, though, they contacted me again to tell me that the boots I ordered wouldn't be available in my size for about 5 weeks. They wouldn't charge my credit card until the boots shipped, and I can't find it elsewhere so I asked that they go ahead and put me on back-order.
The boots arrived today, and I'm completely happy! I'd order from this store again without hesitation. I'm not one who needs a lot of personal service from a vendor, but I'll admit that it's nice when you can get it. These guys really go above and beyond to get things done for you, and I appreciate it."
"Bought a Plantronics Bluetooth headset from these guys. Even though the shipping price was sort of absurd, the total price was still lower than anyone else and the product I bought had a big, bold sentence stating that the Bluetooth was a retail package.
My stuff showed up quickly, but it certainly wasn't a retail package. The headset looked new, the AC adapter looked used, and it came in a plastic bag and bubble wrap bag along with a quick start guide.
The retail package isn't a big deal to me, but when your Web site specifically states that it's retail, that's what I expect to receive. I checked the Web site after the package arrived to make sure it wasn't my mistake, and it still said retail. I just looked again (3 weeks later), and it now says "bulk packaging".
I wouldn't bother to buy from these guys again."
"I bought a Wusthof Classic 8-pc block set and rounded it out with a couple of other knives in February. I'm pretty happy with the knives and with the deal and service that I got from Cutlery and More, so I ordered a set of steak knives this week to fill up the block. The steak knives arrived today, and I'm happy again.
Cutlery and More ships fast and the packaging is adequate. Shipping has been free on both of my orders, they have a great selection, and I'm happy with the prices that I paid."
"The Web site is a little ghetto and the seach function is pretty much useless. I found this site using Google as I was looking for a particular medicated shampoo. The price was good and shipping is fairly priced (USPS Priority flat rate). My stuff showed up, everything was great, and I'd buy from them again.
I did get two email order confirmations from them on two different different days, and that freaked me out a little but I was only billed once.
Overall, I felt like I was taking a risk but everything went well!"
"Ordered a set of Michelin Power 2CT motorcycle tires from Hard Racing after reading good reviews from others on a bike forum. The tires were well priced, they shipped quickly (and for a reasonable price), and I'm completely happy with the tires."
"Ordered about $60 in odd and small parts from Service Honda for my bike because 1) despite living in a large city, my local Honda parts retailer doesn't have most stuff in stock, 2) most of the other online retailers didn't have all the parts I needed, and 3) no one beats Service Honda's prices!
Web site ordering is crude and you need to know your part numbers because Service Honda doesn't provide drawings online. They also don't tell you the price of shipping at the time of ordering. Their prices and available parts are hard to beat, and I'd certainly go back to check them out again if I needed more."
"Bought a large capacity, high speed memory card at an excellent price with a good discount and free shipping. Excellent packaging and shipping time. I'd buy from them again."
"I bought a pretty expensive Nikon lens for less than I could find anywhere else and I was able to use a coupon code for an extra $10 off.
I read Abe's reviews and knew there'd be a call to upsell, so I wasn't surprised. I politely told the guy that I already had filters to fit the new lens. He asked me what type and I told him. He was polite and they shipped my lens on the same day that I ordered it.
The lens was not well packed. The Nikon retail box (which holds the lens well) was in a box with some plastic air bags. The lens is so heavy that most of the air bags had popped and the Nikon box was loose inside. No damage, so no complaints.
The upsell is a little annoying, but I saved about $100 on my new lens, and I'm happy enough that I'd buy from them again. I'm actually more irritated about the packaging of my $1200 lens, you know?"
"I've put in 7 large (a few hundred $$) orders with iHerb in the past few years, and I've always been happy with the price, the discounts, the quick shipping, the packaging, the selection and info on their Web site, and the products themselves.
This store is pretty great, and I'll certainly continue to shop there."
"Ordered an OEM mouse on 3/10 at 7PM.
Credit card promptly charged on 3/11.
Got shipping notification on 3/15.
Got a completely different shipping notification on 3/22.
Finally showed up on 3/25 by USPS Priority Mail.
Mouse and CD were in a bag dropped into an oversized USPS box. No padding at all. I notice they've added a "PRE-test before ship out" option to the advertisement for $5... their packaging method might explain why.
#1 - Two weeks shipping sucks.
#2 - Poor packaging.
#3 - IT'S NOT NEW, it's a refurb.
The mouse feet are worn, there's dust embedded on the bottom, and there's permanent marker through the bar code on the underside of the mouse with a sticker over it that says "WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED". The advertisement says OEM, not refurb.
I emailed them three times. They don't respond. I sent a complaint to my credit card company."
