"Can't have any other domain name registration provider worse than this 101domain company. I searched my domain name on their site and it was shown as available to register. They charged me full price for the first year of the domain name and asked me to upload all kinds of personal documents to verify my information. After more than 10 hours I still can't find the domain name is working, or activated, so I chatted twice using their online-chat with their customer officer, and also raised a ticket.
They finally said it was their error that they didn't know the domain I have chosen and PAID FOR ALREADY has been taken and cannot be registered.
A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!"

Even if you were to switch to another provider you would need to pay the fee, or you would have to wait the time period for your domain to be re-released to the public. The domain restoration fee is charged by the domain registry and we pass it along to you as a cost of doing business.
