"I ordered flowers from -800flowers.com for the funeral of a dear friend. Because we were close friends I ordered a large vase of white and blue flowers. The pictures on the web site made the arrangement seem quite large compared to the small & medium bouquets. When I went to the memorial service I looked and looked for the flowers that I had ordered. Then my son pointed out a blue & white arrangement on a small shelf. I thought it could not possibly be mine because I ordered a large arrangement but I checked the card anyway. I was shocked and embarrassed to find my name on the card. The flowers consisted of 3 roses, several carnations, 3 hydrangeas and quite a few wilting and drooping blue delphinium. I called the local florist to find out if there had been some mistake and I was assured there was not. They had put in the flowers that they were told to put in the vase and then they added the hydrangea because the arrangement looked so small. I didn’t know what in the world to tell my friend’s wife. It was the only arrangement with the deceased favorite colors; white & blue. But I was embarrasses for anyone to know it came from me. All I could do was remove the card, explain to the deceased’s wife that there had been a mistake & I would have the nursery send a better arrangement after Christmas since she had other flowers to take home that day. I will never use 1-800flowers.com ever again. Don’t believe the pictures on the site. The actual flowers don’t look anything like the picture. You are better off calling the local florist in the person’s hometown. Order the flowers that you want from them and you won’t be hiding your card in your pocket in embarrassment."
"Ordered on the 13th for delivery on the 14th. No delivery, no email, no phone call. Chatted with customer service via their website on the 14th was told it was the local florists fault for the non delivery and a nicer more expensive basket of flowers would be sent for delivery on the 15th for the same price as the original order. No delivery no email no phone call on the 15th. i called and after 30 minutes their solution was to have some flowers delivered at additional expense the following week, 6 days after the original delivery date. I canceled the order. I wrote on their facebook page concerning this problem but they deleted my post. Avoid them at all cost. "

I placed an order because my good friend passed away. The arrangement was supposed to get to their home the next day (as I had paid for). I found out the arrangement didn't get delivered the next day, but three days later.
I called my friends family to apologize for the late sympathy gift, and they told me they received the flowers, but the message with the flowers was intended for a mother from her kids as a birthday present...with a birthday card theme....
This is UNACCEPTABLE. I intended this arrangement to be sent to my good friends family who were GRIEVING from their daughters loss. I am in utter shock that this happened, and I am completely embarrassed.
I will never use 1800flowers again due to this incident, and will never recommend their service to anyone. I hope their team will double check arrangement messages and delivery dates more carefully so this wont happen to anyone else.
Thanks, 1800Flowers, for the embarrassment and the humiliation that was supposed to be a "smile" for a close friend's grieving family.

"As mentioned, I'm sorry I didn't check the reviews first. I placed an order on 10/30 for a 10/31 delivery. I checked the status all day and all it showed was "Order Placed". I inquired with customer service, which was very frustrating because the operator barely spoke English and I had to repeat and repeat and repeat, and had trouble understanding her responses. I received an email that said the item would be delivered between 9 and 3. At 5 pm, it still wasn't delivered. I checked again and was told that was just a "canned" response and they have until 7 pm to deliver to a hospital. By 9 pm, it still wasn't delivered. I called yet again was told it had just been delivered to the hospital. I called the hospital. After getting transferred around 3 times, they said it had just gotten there and would be delivered "in a while" to my daughter. She finally got it close to 10 pm. We had paid to have an "I Love You" balloon included with the order. What she got was a "Thinking of You" tiny mylar balloon stuck into the arrangement. I can't begin to say how disappointed I am and would not use this company. Clearly the local florists they are using don't give priority or care to the orders."
"I wish I read all the BAD REVIEWS before I placed an order with this company. I placed an order on the 30th of October, for delivery next day, and paid EXTRA on top of shipping & service charges to have it delivered between 9am and 12pm. It never arrived. When I called he told me that it SHOULD be there tomorrow, that they don't do express delivery. WELL THEN WHY THE HELL DID I PAY FOR IT, IF ITS NOT AN OPTION TO BEGIN WITH?!?!?!

"I ordered a flower arrangment for my grandmother in Hong Kong when she had surgery September 2012. The order was placed on Wednesday for Friday delivery and I was told that I would get a confirmation once the flower is delievered. On Saturday morning I still didn't get the confirmation so I call customer service. I was told that they don't have confirmation from the local flowerist yet. On Sunday afternoon I got a call from 1800-flowers asking for a local phone number for them to verify the address. I knew then the flower has not been delivered. I provided the phone number. On Monday I called again and found out the flower still has not been delievered. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager told me that they will try to deliever the flower within the next 12 hours or I will get a full credit and they will make a new order. On Oct 7, I got a call informed me that the flower was delivered on Oct 6 and I would get a $20 gift certificate. I asked about the full credit the manage promised during the last call and the rep said yes she saw it on the record and she will honor that. The credit did show up on credit card a few days later. Then I got a message from my relatives in Hong Kong that they never received the flower. So I don't know where they delievered the flower to."
"Have used flowers.com before, but today logged on to my account, and when I go to the check out, found they had another person's name, address and credit card information listed. Checked account details and see comingling of my addresses and recipients with some other person's. Now on the phone trying to resolve and they are not being responsive - recommend not trusting such an organization with personal information.

"Overall I was happy with my order, other than the fact they said they could do same-day delivery and then called back two hours later to say the local florist couldn't because of weather. It was raining, and that was it.
So other than that, when the flowers were finally delivered the next day, they looked great. The girl was happy :) and I got the brownie points."

ordered flowers and they arrived wilted! they were Dead and dropping. In addition they looked nothing like advertised. i wish i could upload the picture of the advertisement and what actually arrived-ridiculous. the bouquet looked very unprofessional. tried calling for redelivery but it has been almost a week later and i keep getting excuse after excuse as to why it NEVER arrived!! lousy customer service and no one is held accountable! one thing they are good with is taking your money. Will NEVER use them again!!"

I ordered flowers yesterday for a 60th birthday today. I paid extra to have the flowers delivered before noon. I paid extra to have the flowers delivered in a nice vase. At 1:36 the flowers arrived (96-minutes late). Not only were they late, they came in a box and not in water (the vase came in a separate box). When the flowers had not arrived by noon, I tried to call them, but was continually transferred to voicemail. I then tried their online support 'chat' function and was told that someone would call me within an hour... after 3 additional 'chat' interactions (and 4-hours later) and each time being told that I would be contacted by phone within an hour, I have yet to speak with a real live human being.
Needless to say, not only was the product delivered in an atrocious manner, the customer support / service was completely unacceptable and left me feeling like I've been completely ripped off.
If I ever hear back from someone, I will be demanding a refund, however I won't be holding my breath for either!
I will never recommend this company and will do everything that I can to ensure that nobody that I know ever uses them.
Horrible, unacceptable and possibly one of the worst companies that I've ever dealt with!

After placing my order I read some reviews on 1800 flowers and suffered some anxiety. All the reviews seemed negative and I almost cancelled. I took a chance and I am so glad I did!
